4.1 Dark orange, hazy. Aroma fruity with quite a lot of yeastiness. Apples, citrus and cherries dominates the taste. Some bitterness in the quite dry ending. Good, solid Tripel!
3.2 Bottle @ home. Clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma medium malty (bread) and yeasty (spices, cloves, nutmeg and light fruit), light hoppy. Flavor medium sweet, light fruity and bitter. Medium body, heavy carbonated.
3.0 Nice tripel.decent but a bit Standard. Drom bottle with a small white head. Some herbs
3.2 75 cl fles. Troebel geeloranje kleur. Dikke crêmige plakkraag. Aroma en smaak van gist, sinaasappel, bitterzoet.
3.2 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small white head and an aroma of spices (cloves, nutmeg), yeast, sweet malts, ripe fuits and tofee. The taste is heavy sweet with a lively carbonation that turns soft pretty fast.
3.4 Bottle 33 cl, pours a hazy golden colour with a white head , fruity aroma, Sweet and fruity taste.
3.6 Golden hazy, nice small but very stable head, very fresh aroma. Taste is slightly lacking behind aroma. Carbonation is soft but strong. Drinkable.
3.3 Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is hazy golden colored and has a stable and small head, with enough carbonation. The aroma is malty and fruity, with some hints of spices (coriander or cloves?) and some fresh hops. The taste is pretty sweet and malty, with some citrus and spices, also yeast is noticable and in the end some fresh hops. The finish leaves a little alcohol and some fresh hop bitterness. Boring tripel, had better ones. One to forget soon.
3.3 F: big, thick, creamy, white, good retention. C: orange amber, hazy. A: malt, orange, coriander, apples, peach, candy, yeast. T: malty, bread, citrus, very sharp carbonation, medium body, mineral tones, candy, but not very sweet, good balanced beer, 0,33l bottle from Carrefour in Brussels.
3.4 Huge carbonation in the nose, then fruity Belgian yeast, then golden cereal malts. Simple and quite filtered but due to the big bubbly and warning alcohol I enjoy it much more than I should. (33cl bottle from Dekoninck)
4.1 Ale con segunda fermentación en botella. Color rubio dorado Aroma a malta, levadura y notas afrutadas. Sabor cítrico a cilantro y especias. Final es seco y levemente amargo.
3.2 Dorada. No mucha espuma. Duradera. Aroma citrico y levadura belga.
3.1 Bottle at home. At 7.5% more of a blonde than triple in style. Hazy blonde, good clean, white head which soon disappears. Yeasty, apple, honey in the aroma with the same following through to the flavour but with a hint of coves and orange peel. Clean, fruity finish.
2.9 33 cl bottle at home. Pours clear golden with medium white head. Aroma: bread, apple, pear, clove. Taste: medium sweetness with medium bitterness. Soapy taste with notes of coriander and light fruits. Medium bodied, sticky texture and too high carbonation
3.2 Copper colored beer with a white head, medium / high carbonation. Tastes malty, some spice, little hops, very sweet. Nothing special.
2.9 0,7l bottle shared. Appearance: hazy golden/light amber, with an off-white head. Aroma: orange peel and sweet bread, spices, clove, light tart. Taste: Moderate sweet and fruity hint of sourness. Citrus, apricot with some sweet white bread tones, A hint of spices. Sweet but dry finish. average body, medium carbonation.(backlog rating) Ok brew. Typical du Bocq brew.
2.8 Pours a clear orange/yellow glass of beer. Pretty ordinary Abbey Tripel, nothing out of the ordinary.
3.4 2/1/2011 1:39:16 PM Bottle from Bierparadijs. Medium amber with hoppy head. Nose of malts, corn. Taste also quite malty with nice hops and bitter. Flavour of fruits and sweets. Quite nice tripel.
Mycket trevlig.
3.7 Nice golden yellow color, with a little orange aspect. There is a soft white layer of foam. The smell is simple. Nice sweet aroma. Refreshing smell. Little bitter smell, not bad. The beer has a nice full character. Very sweet, with a little taste of alcohol. Heavy beer. Nice bitterness on the back of the tongue. A good one.
3.1 Bottle. 7.5%. Best before 23.08.15. Pours a hazy golden/light amber, with an off-white head. Tart aroma, with notes of orange peel and sweet bread, and an spicy note, which might be cloves. Flavour is citrusy and fruity, with a sweet bread note and the same spicy note as in the aroma. Sweet, dry finish. A bit too much carbonation. Overall okay, if not really my thing. Feels a bit cloying though. 10.05.15.
3.8 75 CL bottle, shared in a restaurant in Leuven. Poured hazy gold, with a large foamy off-white head. Aroma had malt, belgian fruits, and spices. Flavour had hints of apple, grain, bread, sweet. Lot of carbo, slight bitter finish.
3.0 Bottle 33cl. Cloudy deep golden color, two finger frothy white head, collapses quickly to a thick layer, good lacing; aroma sweet malty, yeast, nutty, peach, apple, cooked vegetables, citrus; sharp taste, moderate sweet, slightly bitter, salty notes; medium to full body, oily texture, prickly on the tongue, lively carbonation, finish bittersweet, herbal and earthy notes; overall a rather coarse tripel, disappointing.
3.2 Tripel with a thick, creamy, snow white head and clear deep golden blonde colour. Aroma of raw potato, green apple, peach, straw, gooseberry and quite some DMS (cooked vegetable). Taste subduedly fruity, applish touch, sourish accent, a bit grainy and lightly bready, sharp carbonation, minerally, leafy hop bitter finish with some ’jenever’-like, but not astringent alcohol. Decent enough.
