3.9 Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malt, dark cherry liqueur and smoke . Taste is quality dark chocolate and roasted malt.
4.2 Tap @ Arendsnest, Amsterdam I 2019. Volle diepe rokerige gebrande moutige turf smaak. Proefglas & Fles
3.6 Tap @ VAF 2018 / 30.11. Black pour, some brown foam on top. Nose is roasted, dry blackberries and some smoked leather, quite thick. Tastes super dry but lots of roast and burnt black bread there. Medium body, quite intense roast edge. Dry as a desert. Unusual but definitely not bad.

4.2 A strong sweet smell of roasted malt and chocolate, very nice. The head is small, beige and fizzy with a rather short duration. A malty taste, light bitter, dark chocolate, coffee and liquor. The body is medium strong, creamy and light oily with a normal carbonation. A very good one!
3.6 Black pour, brown head. Aroma has lots of raisin and dark chocolate. Taste follows, with prune.

3.5 Bottle. Color hazy brown with small head. Aroma some smoke, malt, toffee, caramel. Taste malt, caramel, smoke, dark fruits.
3.8 330ml bottle thanks to MonsterMagnet (Euro Local Swap 1/2018). Pours very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of chocolate, sweet dark fruits, peat, touch of smokiness, roasted malt, old leather. Medium bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Not usually keen on peaty beers but this one really grew on me, it's well balanced.

3.1 I do not understand what the hubub is about here, to me it tastes like a beer that's quite off, it actually has a sour bitaste which I don't believe is the main aim of a porter. Secondly it produced more foam than my bathtub does.. also a ominous sign. Maybe I had that one bottle which was off, it's possible. But it deters me of buying this one anywhere soon.
Zo'n bier
4.4 Amazing beer with a nice smoking taste that preserves for a long time. You can enjoy it for a long or drink more than one. Respectful alcohol level that powers the night taste of the beer.
3.8 Bought @ Slijterij De Filosoof Aroma whiff of whiskey, coffee, prunes and red fruit. Taste is strong black coffee, some sourness, red fruit and licorice. Oily and creamy palate.

4.5 L: -pours the darkest of brown with no light coming through and a big, frothy, beige head S: -coffee,oats,bitter chocolate, nutty, herbal, leafy T: -tobacco,chocolate,coffee,oatmeal,spicy,ash,faint smoke, sour cherries -high bitterniss for the style F: -medium carbonation -medium body O: A great one.Doesn’t have to hide behind the great Baltic Porter’s or Imperial Stouts
4.5 Appearance - pours black, with a creamy, foamy, hazel head. Very inviting. Aroma - upon opening the bottle the beautiful smell of smoky bacon immediately put a smile on my face (and I’m a vegetarian, go figure!). After the pour the other aromas came out really nicely. There was definitely coffee there. And I’m not talking simply coffee-coffee. Oh no, I’m talking super-freshly ground mocha coffee beans, absolutely gorgeous. There was another wine-y, earhty, woody-quality there that almost made me think of an aged tawny port. Even before taking a sip I found myself moaning (in a good way!). Taste - I was super-pleased that the smokiness in the nose translated to a beautiful woody tobacco in the mouth (rather than tasting of ashtray). The roast of the malts return as the freshly ground mocha coffee beans are in the mouth as well as they are in the nose. The tawny port quality gives it just that extra little bit of special, and best of all: it wasn’t syrupy or overly sweet at all, and actually has a really nice hoppy bitterness to it. Palate - not watery at all, and neither was it syrupy or too fizzy. Had a really nice, almost velvety texture. Overall - my favorite porter to date. Even barrel-aged porters or imperial porters haven’t been able to hold a candle to this one as of yet. Not too sweet. Freshly ground mocha beans, tawny port and woodsy tobacco. Wonderful. I found it an absolute blast of a rollercoaster of evolving flavors. And it was so well balanced I found myself enjoying picking out the flavors one by one simply by attending to them rather than having to go out and forcibly ’search’ for them. Gorgeous beer. Again, my favorite porter.
3.6 33cl bottle at home. Appearance: dark with big beige head. Gusher. Aroma: boozy, roasted malts, port, caramel, toffee, fruits. Taste: medium sweetness and fairly high bitterness. Notes of coffee, roasted malts, bread, hops and some alcohol. Palate: medium bodied, oily texture and medium carbonation.
4.3 Bottle from Monster Magnet. Mi first Bronckhorster Brewing Company rating. Aroma: Chocolate, dark fruit, roastiness, light alcohol. Appearance: Cool head, black body. Taste: Lots of dark fruit, coffee and chocolate, light tobacco, lightly sour, roasty. Palate: High body, sweet finish, low carbonation.
4.3 Zwart als de nacht. Compacte crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Behoorlijk wat carbonatie. Rokerig aroma. Smaken van chocolade, rook, leer, toast, mout, koffie. Licht bitter-zoete afdronk.
