Bronx Pale Ale

Bronx Pale Ale

This deep amber, American-style pale ale is brewed with five different barley malts, generous additions of Cascade and Centennial hops, and a unique strain of yeast. The British, German and American malts used provide a complex blend of caramel, biscuit, and nutty malt flavors. The hops provide a gentle, pleasant bitterness with an intense floral and citrus aroma. It is dry-hopped, unfiltered and unpasteurized. We hope you enjoy this fresh, local beer.

3.9 Copper coloured, very large head, medium-bodied, fruity, bitter, citric, hoppy, pine needles, toffee
2.8 A reddish brown beer, a head is pretty big and blond. Aroma has caramel and wood, overriped and too sweet fruits. Taste has wood, caramel, the fruitness is weird and unstable. Medium bodied. Quite weak beer.
3.6 God pale ale, humlebeska
3.0 Can. Poured a golden color with a medium sized off white head. Toasted caramel with some pine and citrus. Bit boring and thin.
3.1 12 oz. can at the Meatball Shop. Labeled American Pale Ale on the can. Pours a mostly clear amber with a full inch of frothy white head that settles into a thick ring and patchy film and lace. Notes of caramel malts, muddled citrus fruits and peels, tea, earth, grass, and soap. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a bitter, citrusy, semi-sweet mouthfeel. Generic and underwhelming.
3.4 355 ml can at Bastard Burgers, Varberg. Clear amber with white head. Caramel, marmalade malty with hoppy citrus, resin and pine. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.
3.3 Draft. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Light caramel aroma. Caramel and light citrus flavor. Medium bodied. Caramel and dark malt linger with light citrus.
3.8 Can from Whole Foods Market, Manhattan, New York (July 4, 2019). Looks like bitter but taste has more of everything. Enough malt base to balance to strong hopping and high ABV. Quite nice.
2.9 Can, TW-SP. Orange, small off-white head. Resin, stale hop aroma. Flavor is resin, stale hops, pine, grapefruit. Average at best.
3.4 Perfectly fine without being anything to write home, like a potential suited who’s destined to be just friends
1.2 Can from Chalet for 1.50$. Much darker than a pale ale. More like the color of iced tea. Nice thicker rocky head goes crag. Smells like an IPA. Taste at first seems a little fruity then that stupid ass IPA thing come in and punches you in the face, whew. Yes, should be listed as an IPA fer sure. Big bitter nasty nellie. Yes, thick with a big nasty nitpicking, noisy, non-confidence, nonexistent, non-responsive, nonsense and a nosy, notorious notoriety with a noxious, nuisance, numbing bitter twist that just won't go away after each swig. Quite kick ass fer sher. If you like IPA, you gotta put this on yer bucket list. Big boisterous mouthcoating bullshit.
3.3 12oz can. Pours orange brown. Biscuit, orange peel, grapefruit, pine, cereal, quite a bitter finish. Medium body. Decent.
3.6 Deep orange in colour, strong pine and resinous aroma and flavour which is matched by plenty of fruitiness
3.5 12oz can from Giant Eagle Grandview: deep orange pour, dingy white head. aroma of grain malts. tastes are bittersweet, little earthy, fruity. on the malty side, but good balance overall. light bitter finish. pine, spice. thin palate.
3.2 12 ounce can at the house. Smell some citrus and sweet to the nose. Orange and hazy in color White head film on glass. Taste the orange citrus, some hops. Medium body. oily after taste with citrus. Drinkable Cheers!
3.1 Burk Bishops Örebro. Orange halvklar vätska. Doft av druva barr och citrus. Likande i smak med lite blöt kartong och örter.
2.7 Can pour into pub glass. Appearance is hazy dark orange-light brown with trace sparkle, thin cap of off-white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is caramel, tart fruit, yeast. Taste is caramel malts along with yeasty overly ripe fruit/citrus. Palate is light bodied with smooth, thin texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this was way past its prime (9 months) so malt bias and somewhat unfinished quality are most likely reflective of that. 9 months old
3.1 Clear amber golden colour, white head. Fruity aroma, hops, malt. Light bitter, hoppy flavour, sweet malts. Finish caramel, hops. Decent APA. (from 355cL can @ Shake Shack, Brooklyn)
3.7 12 oz can from Total Wine and More in Short Pump, VA This is a terrific ale with great color and taste. The ale poured a clear amber color with an off-white foamy head and lacing. The nose detected floral and citrus hops as advertised. The ale has a medium body and average carbonation. The taste is full of bittering citrus hops and pale malts. A little too sweet with some swallows. The ale finishes with some sweet hops lingering on your tongue.
3.6 Can. An amber beer, breaking the mold. This carries a predominately caramel malt character but does have a subtle but pleasant Americanized hop appeal. A pleasant departure from the current rage for light-colored uber-hopped brews. (#7162, 8/2018)

2.8 At Mel’s Burger Bar, with Zach and Marissa, pours an amber gold color with no head. Nose is bittersweet, somewhat hoppy and light citrus. Taste is hoppy , rather grainy . Finishes blandly. Fair at very best. Quaff Score 6 / 10
