Brooklyn American Ale has more crystal malt than Summer Ale and is more heavily dry-hopped. The dry-hopping in Summer Ale is all Amarillo, while Brooklyn American Ale has a blend of Amarillo and Cascade.

2.6Bottle from supermarket in France. Golden color, white head. Malty lager, a bit sour... Me..
3.113.10.2018 -- 0.355l bottle from coop in basel. pours a clear golden with a medium head. aroma of woody hops, spruce, slight honey/sweet malts. flavour of wood, citrus, cucumber, hay, honey.
3.0Inan hedelmäinen. Perus.
2.9Bold move to represent in naming this one, but onto the beer itself.... Into a Brooklyn tulip, chilled. Slight chill haze to an orange gold body, lightly fueled by minute bubbles. Head is a steady, rocky mess off white froth that daubs the glass. Light honey note to its sweetish, tropical fruit and melonous nose. Reminiscent of a mix of papaya, rambutan, dragonfruit and cantaloupe with a touch of camphor and pine needles. Light bodied with ample lemon zest coming through. Honey hits in well to balance. Medial bitterness. Chalky and slightly soapy in feel. A short tartness and tightness reminiscent of pepperberries. The rambutan, or even lychee of the nose comes through and lasts long. A touch tropically esterful, a touch camphorous but no highlights in both. It is light on and safe. The mouthfeel the let down. Average in a can, but a long distance from its home! (35,5cL can, BB 07/12/18 [AUS], The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
3.1355ml can from Sainsbury's, Epsom. pours clear golden with a white head. Initial aroma of flowery hops followed by malt with citrus. Lemon taste. Slightly sour bitter finish.
Bulles quasi inexistantes.
Mousse en nappage informe de surface.
Arômes de pomme, poire, pêche.
1ère bouche fruitée, avec une note de gentiane.
Arrière-bouche avec de la citronnelle.
2ème qui reste sur le même registre.
Arrière-bouche verte, et courte.
3ème sans personnalité.
Arrière-bouche qui vire au pils.
Longueur médiocre, sans aucune distinction.
Jambes courtes.
Levure basique.
Alcool totalement inoffensif ..
Finale mièvre.
CONCLUSION : quand on veut porter un nom pareil, on se doit
2.8375ml can
Light amber colour with OK head.
Malty with slight stone fruit aroma.
Dryish palate with slight oxidation.
3.133cl can from Tesco's.
medium creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Light bitterness. Quite decent.
2.7Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a fading off white thick bubbly head. Aroma is of orange, light citrus, floral, biscuit. Taste is of caramel, biscuit, butterscotch, grassy, floral, orange. Light oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
3.0Refreshing and light. With tingling gentle hops. As farr as an APA goes this is far closer to a golden ale than an IPA. A summer drink really. But fairly well made an balanced.
2.9355ml can into shaker. Nose of sweet malt and subtle citrus fruit. Sparkling golden orange beer with a foamy white head. Medium carbonation. Some patchy lacing. Slightly effervescent and easy-drinking. Flavour profile is low-key (i.e. not a lot going on). A little nutty bitterness followed by some orange rind. Uncomplicated quaffer.
2.6330ml can. Not nasty, but disappointingly bland. I had high hopes for this one, too. Another one I know to avoid in future.
2.4Bottiglia.
4.0Yes! A highly sessionable beer from those nice folks at Brooklyn brewery. Clean and full tasting, but not hugely complex, and good with many foods. Glad I found this in Tesco. Right up my street.
8/10.
2.6Amber colour, one inch foamy head, attractive beer. Thin and watery and quite sweet, little bitterness, overtaken by sweetness. Not much else to say. A bit sickly and weak tasting.
4.0I've had their Lager and Scorcher, but Brooklyn's American Ale is the best of the three for me--I really enjoyed it. I'd say it is a blond/golden ale, because it pours like a classic lager. Has a big head that gave no trouble and smells a little tomatoey, an aroma I like in a beer. This seems to me an accomplished, well-balanced brew. The mouthfeel is perfect, just the right carbonation and smoothness. The flavour has a certain honeyed maltiness about it, along the lines of some of the Cologne and Munich golden top-fermented lager-like beers. A moderate bitterness lurks as an undertone, but this isn't a hop-forward beer. I don't mind that--it makes this an easy, sessionable beer, one I will be drinking again, as it's available in my Tesco.
3.1Bottle. Amber coloured beer with a good head. The aroma is yeasty and gently hopped. The flavour is bitter with yeastiness and a gentle dry finish. Overall an average beer.
2.6Pours clear golden with medium white foam. Nose is grainy. Aromas are sweet malt, grassy hops. Average carbonation, light body. Short finish.
3.2355ml can from Sainsburys Darlington. Amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of fruity hop. Taste is toasty malt, caramel with orangey citrus hoppy bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.
3.03/30/2016 -- from backlog notes: 12oz can. Excessive head. Watery, wet toasty malt. Some earthy hop. Not bad flavor, just very mild. Moderate bitter, light to moderate sweet. Light carbonation. Light body. Easy-drinking.
3.0Clear, dark gold beer with a bit of fizz to it and a decent white head. Dry, bitter aroma. Flavour has a bit of that too, from the hops. As well as some caramel and a bit of maltiness there too. It's fine, though a slightly watery feel and aftertaste makes this the most disappointing of the Brooklyn beers I've had.
3.1Can from.....I can hardly bring my fingers to type it and will have to disinfect them afterwards.....no, I can't do it. A supermarket. Lemon and lime aroma. Reasonable squirt of citrus hop over lightly toasted malt. Cooked boiled sweet lemon, almost lychee but not quite. A bit macro but surprisingly decent.
2.2Pours lively amber with a thick fluffy white head. Medium bodied with orange peel and citrus hops coming through in the taste. The aroma is generic and inoffensive but the lingering soapy aftertaste lets this one down overall.
2.1Chemical soapy. Clear Amber colour poor head and lacing. Spice malt flavour. Fizzy palate.
