Brooklyn Brown Ale

Brooklyn Brown Ale

Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Bebible y agradable.
3.4 Reviewed in 2010: Medium to medium-dark brown appearance. Aroma is not that great....about average. Has a good well-balanced flavor of mostly caramel malt with a decent hop finish. Sampled a few different browns so far this season, and this is one of the better ones. I'd go as far to say one of the best I tried in this style (economy-wise that is). A little heavier than Sierra Nevada's 2010 Tumbler, but about equally as good. Would definitely get again.

2.9 355ml bottle: BB 19th May 18. Poured into a Chimay chalice at home on 18th Mar 18. Teak wood red body, wispy beige head. Malts rule the nose and initial taste, then the hops kick in to give a semblance of balance. Reality is, it's a sweet malty brew, a little thin body wise and lacking in hop depth. It does however have some good points and I liked the slight caramel and chocolate flavours mid-sip.
3.8 Butelka 330ml. Ciemny, mahoniowy kolor z rubinowym refleksem. Piana dość obfita, biala, zbita, opada powoli. W zapachu melasa, karmel, susz owocowy, rodzynki, chleb razowy. W smaku słodkawe o pełnym cielei małej karbonacji. Dominują słodkie suszone owoce z rodzynkami i daktylami na pierwszym planie, karmel, melasa, ciemne palone słody i odrobina chlebowych skórek. Świetnie ukryty alkohol..

3.0 Brune claire limpide, ensemble équilibrée, pas très sucrée, petite amertume, notes café, malt grillé léger. Bouteille 33cl achetée en grande surface, Noisy-le-Grand, France, bue le 18/12/2017.
3.6 355ml bottle. Clear brown with a light beige head. Very malty on the nose, toasted malts, caramel, chocolate. Taste is similar, sweet caramel and chocolate malt, bitter toasted malts, earthy and bitter finish. Medium bodied, creamy smooth mouthfeel, average carb.
4.3 Very very smooth, like a Newcastle but much smoother. I would suggest these over Newcastles, just a better flavor that almost any beer lover can appreciate it.
3.6 dry ale, Nice color, very cold it needs to be, bought it only 5DKK in Denmark where it did not sell.
0.8 odd tastes and aftertastes took away any of the good I experienced. Im not sure why beer companies feel it is necessary to "add" extra tastes. Just make the beer good, the rest will take care of itself. Paulaner and Weihenstephaner have been around, with the same taste - for hundreds of years.
3.5 God øl i balance.
3.9 Bottle from ASDA, Washington. Copper-brown coloured with a thick white head. It has a malty, toffee, red fruit and slight citrus flavour followed by earthy, malt, burnt toffee and pine on the earthy finish. Very good indeed.
3.5 Aroma: malt, caramel, hazelnuts Taste: sweet malt and caramel from the start, slightly tart bittersweet in the end. Nice trail of hazelnuts in the aftertaste
3.7 355 ml bottle,bb 19/08/2018. Brown,clear. Nose - coffee,toffee,caramel. Taste - same as nose plus roasted malt.
3.4 Rating from old records. On tap at Brewhouse. Choc malt w/moderate It's tough to make a unique tasting brown and this is fairly mainstream.
3.3 25cl glass at cafe de toeter. Pours a hazy dark mahogany colour with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of malt, raisins, plums, slight metallic. Taste is moderate sweet, soft bitter with a medium dry finish. Notes of caramel, raisins, plums, dark malt, slight roasted malt. Texture is sticky to watery, medium to ligjt bodoed woth soft carbonation
2.5 The longer I spent with brooklyn's brown ale the more it grew on me, as the caramel malts and nutty overtones grew out of the thickness. However, the bottle basically exploded on me when I opened it, which was great fun.
3.7 Coffee toffee malt butter cocoa all in there. Bottled frothed air when opened so i feared a bad one but ok. Chocolatey texture and winey finish too with raisins.
