Brooklyn Lager

Brooklyn Lager

Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

3.4 Can: Poured a coppery golden with a frothy fast dissipating white head. Aroma is grain, metallic, fruits. Taste is fruity, light zesty, floral, grain/malts, metallic.
5.0 Super tasty hoppy lager. Nice balance of hops, malt, and alcohol.
3.8 Colore giallo dorato, schiuma alta e persistente. Al naso note agrumate e erbacee; in bocca prevalgono le note erbacee. Finale secco e leggermente amaro.
3.3 How: bottle from pint. Chilled. BB: 231122 Head: two fingers, white. Colour: deep golden. Some floating matter, otherwise clear. Aroma: bread, cereals, lager yeasty notes; restrained fruityness, light herbal& citrusy hops. Taste: thin to medium body, lively carbonation, assorted bread; but not dark bread, fruity notes, balancing herbal bitterness. Medium long aftertaste like initial taste. Solid light coloured lager. 6-3-6-4-14
3.1 660ml bottle poured, 5.2% abv. Clear amber beer with rocky off-white head. Light aroma of floral hops and some malt. Bitter and sweet, little bit bready, pine/herbal finish, not bad
2.0 Lager? Eher ipa
3.0 Amber Color , medium head, toasty aroma. Malty sweet taste , not very hoppy. Average beer.
3.1 330ml bottle. Clear, amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, minimally toasty, malty and slightly piney, hoppy aroma. Taste is sweet-ish and minimally toasty, caramel malty, slightly bitter, piney hoppy. Watery texture, dry palate, medium to fine, prickly carbonation. Clean, balanced, homogeneous, rather monotonous - OK.
4.0 Tap at Drunk Uncle. Really smooth, solid beer. Tastes better to me now than it did 20 years ago. Really clean, well brewed. Easy drinking for the style, Toasty malts, straight forward hop balance. Great beer.
3.1 Definite amber lager. Hoppy aroma with grainy finish.
4.0 Lager rica y fresquita
2.8 Grainy and hoppy aroma. Lots of caramel also. The taste is caramel, some coca-cola, and bitter hops. Quite fresh.
3.6 Appearance: clear amber with a decent off-white head. Aroma: grain, crackers, caramel, good herbal hop. Taste: light to medium sweet and light bitter. Malty and hoppy. Pure. Crackers, caramel, herbal hop. Mouth feel: medium minus body, average carbonation. Summary: a good lager, no doubt.
3.4 Kran w Trzech Księżycach w Kazimierzu Dolnym. Ogólnie ciekawy, klasyczny, dobrze zrobiony Vienna lager.
2.9 God, testa igen och jämför
3.6 Golden color with a persistent foamy white head. Sweet and grainy aroma worth a hint of popcorn. Pale with notes of grass and straw. This is a very crisp and refreshing lager.
Textura acuosa, cuerpo ligero y carbonatación media.
3.7 12 oz. bottle from Sam's Bottle Shop, Durham, NC (best before July 2021). Pale gold pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, floral hops, and faint lemon zest. The taste features pleasant grassy and floral hop bitterness upfront with noted sweet biscuity malts on the finish. Not my favorite style by a long-shot but I certainly appreciate something such as this in the beer landscape. This would rank about as high as I could expect a lager to rank.
3.2 Dark amber, good foam. Nose. Hops in grass, straw, citrus, a little pine needles, malt, bread. Rich! Taste. Malt, citrus notes, bread and caramel, pleasant bitterness. This is a Difficult lager, Great beer.
3.8 On tap at Homeslice in Austin, TX. Aroma is nutty, bready, sweet malts. Taste is sweet roasted bread, soft nuttiness, crisp finish. One of the more enjoyable lagers I’ve had lately.

3.4 Très agréable bière goûteuse rafraîchissante. Merci binouze usa
3.7 12 fl oz can from an online retailer. Pours an inviting copper colour with a finely bubbled three fingered white head; nose of lots of bready malt and some toasted flavours, together with the distinct smell of noble hops. Taste of bready malt with a slight bit of roasted flavours, together with some delicately balancing hops. High carbonation and slightly watery body. It does feel like liquid bread somewhat. Good attempt though.
3.5 Clear pale amber with a big, frothy white head and a subtle (muted) aroma of malt and hops. Moderately carbonated, with a slight grainy feel to it, a sweetish malt flavour kick things off before some hop bitterness comes in leading to a dry and slightly bitter finish
3.4 Amber color, i think it looks nice with an candle behind shining thru in an old new york bar restaurant with green leather seats amd marlins on the wall. It opens very wide and fresh presenting its malts/barley at first, hops decent after. Carbonation is very firm and creamy matching well. But then it shiveres down revealing some acidy and flatness at most in the cheeks staying and staying. This attribute maybe coming from the water or other aspects of the brewing process needs a fine tune i thunk maybe with a dise of more sweetness.
