Bruery Terreux Oude Tart
Oude Tart is a Flemish-Style Red Ale aged in red wine barrels for 18 months. It’s pleasantly sour with hints of leather, dark fruit and toasty oak. While this is one of the more classic beer styles that we make, it’s not a style that you can find too often in the United States. Originating in style from the Flanders region of Belgium, near the French boarder, this dark, sour ale has roots deep in brewing history and predates most of the ales that have become popular in contemporary culture. We’re doing our best to keep the tradition alive by brewing and aging this beer here on the west coast.

Bottle thanks to Ryan. Nice color and body. Aromatic nose of cherry? Just tart enough to enjoy like a Belgian Flanders red ale.
Robe rubis dense légèrement trouble, fine mousse. Nez superbe tout en élégance et complexité entre des notes de cerise acidulée, de groseille, de fût sur un fond balsamique. Une bouche tout aussi réussie, fraîcheur, fruit, fine amertume, bulle délicate, boisé élégant, longueur et équilibre. Superbe bière.
Bottle at Sour and Bitter 2012. Pours a clear dark brown with a small off-white head. Bitter an sour with a light sweetness. Aromas of earth and perfume with notes of barnyard with hints of apples and cask wood. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Bitter finish.

Dość kwaśne.

Bottled. Poured pretty nice orange amber brown whatever. Tart as heck, but some body in there. Pretty good.
Közepes, gyorsan elillanó hab, vörösesbarna szín. Savanykás, vörösboros, pirosbogyós illat. Savanykás, vörösboros, bőrős, tanninos ízvilág, pirosbogyós beütéssel. Fanyar, közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Nagyon finom, egy jó vacsora megkoronázása.
Smagt fra flaske til større smagning.
Ravfarvet med kortvarig skum.
Kompleks aroma, fag, kanel, hindbær, vinøs.
Frugtig, krydret og tør i munden. Igen vinøs med bløde tanniner.
Medium krop, tør finish. Kompleks og vellykket!
Aroma: Medium-light sour, malty, cherry.
Appearance: Medium-light hazy, red body. Small, tan head. Fine bubbles. Low retention.
Flavour: Medium-light sour, malty, cherries. Dry finish with light sour.
Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Clean sour, nice fruit.

Hazy brown reddish color with beige head. Aroma has fruity notes like raisins with some earthy balsamico notes. Taste is tart and fruity with complex dried fruits notes like raisins and figs. Also balsamic vinegar notes, not too acidic. Light to medium body, medium plus carbonation. Dry, tart and complex.
2016 vintage bottle at Bölcső bar, Budapest. Opaque red brown color. Fruity, red wine and oak barrel aroma. Sour, oaky, robust, berries, vanilla, wood flavors. Longg tart finish, some sweetness too. A great Flemish red, really delicious.
Piwo koloru miedzianego, mętne, z lekko beżową pianką. W aromacie na pierwszym planie czerwone owoce, wanilia i dzikość, głównie objawiająca się zapachem stajni. W tle można wyczuć jeszcze nuty czerwonego wina, mokrego drewna i odrobina octu. Aromat pierwszorzędny. W smaku przyjemnie i intensywnie kwaśne. Bardzo wyraźnie czuć też to, że piwo leżakowało w beczkach. Wanilia i kokos mocno dają się we znaki, po przełknięciu jest również wyraźnie ściągające. Mokre drewienko też delikatnie czuć. Także ta w/w kwaśność i "odbeczkowe" klimaty dominują w ustach. Poza tym czuć czerwone owoce, czerwone winko i delikatna stajnia. Wysycenie średnie, alkohol totalnie niewyczuwalny. Ogólnie to piwo jest sztosem.
From the bottle to a can. Pours cinnamon brown with faint tawny head. Scent is red wine, tart cherries, a bit of acidity, a bit of booze, some caramel. Flavor is similar. Complex but very enjoyable. Aftertaste is fairly sour. Medium body. Best sour I think I’ve had to this point.
Dark ruby with cream head. Very sour, fruity, cherry, amigdalin, leather, even cocoa cream. Wonderful.
A 750ml bottle, 2015 vintage, bottled on 28th August 2015. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass. It was brownish red in colour with a small half finger frothy tanned head that dissipated quickly and left no lacing. Aromas were tart-ish, cherry, prunes, oak and light balsamic vinegar. Tastes tart, sour, acidic, cherry, raspberry, oak and balsamic. Medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation. Overall enjoyable to drink with good aromas but I think I would like it even more if it was less acidic with higher carbonation.

Panel kwaśnych piw z The Bruery w MQ. W aromacie mocny kwas, czerwone owoce, lekki ocet. W smaku wytrawne, kwas mocny, owocowość intensywna, lekki octowy finisz. Nie mogę powiedzieć, że znam się jakkolwiek na flandersach, ale to na pewno jeden z fajniejszych jakie piłem.

Sporo słodyczy, mało kwaśności, cierpkie, pestkowe owszem. Nieco czereśni, wiśni. Gładziutkie, dość pełne, nawet za słodkie momentami.
Piana średnio obfita ale drobna, trwała, Kolor ciemna czerwień, rubin, klarowny. Aromat kwaskowo winny, owocowy, winogrona, wiśnie pestkowe, drewno z taninami, lekko słodki, złożony, bardzo przyjemny. Smak oddaje to co w aromacie, jest zdecydowanie kwaśno lekko octowo, sporo owoców wiśni, winogron, brzoskwini, świetnie gra beczka z dębowymi posmakami, ściągającymi taninami. Piwo złożone, degustacyjne do powolnego sączenia i delektowania się złożonością i bogactwem smaków. Bardzo Dobre.

Tart-ish, woody, yeasty spicy, slightly fruity aroma, fruit acidic hints of raspberry, some morello. Taste is sour, woody, slightly tannic and fruity, minimally vinous, hints of raspberry, morello, some leather. A style match, of course, but not overly complex.
750ml bottle share. Pours a dark ruby red. Aroma: cherry liqour, oak, sour cherries, mild herbal notes. Taste: sour cherries, grapefruit, mild fruit punch flavours. Mild boozy aftertaste. Medium bodied. Moderate to strong sourness. A little bit too sour but still very tasty and complex.
Bottle, aged at least a few years (old label). Murky brown pour with a small tan head. Tart, some subtle cherry and other fruit notes, pretty oaky. Nice classic version of the style.
2015 bottle. Reddish brown color, tanned head. Aroma has sour fruits, cherries, raspberries. Nice sour taste, red wine, sour notes, berries.
Vom Fass Stone Brewing Berlin 2017-09 getrunken. Ein deutlich verhaltenes Sour Red mit verhaltener Säure aber dafür ist es echt süffig.
Aus der Flasche im 2018-04 getrunken. Ein sehr gelungenes Sour Red mit verhaltener Säure und schönes Beerenfruchtnote. Super leckeres, echt süffig Sour Ale und aus der Flasche deutlich besser als von Zapfhahn.
750ml bottle shared at epic Cantillon tasting. Aroma: caramel, candied fruits, chocolate, molasses. App: dark red, small off white head, good lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, light to begin sweetness, moderate acidity with bone dry acidity finish. Overall: impressed. Didn't think I would like it. Glad I tasted it. Well balanced. Well made. Original. Liked it a lot.

W aromacie jest trochę wiśni i wanilii, ale zdecydowanie dominuje jednak ocet winny. W smaku na początku znowu wiśnia, z tym że w słodkiej odsłonie, następnie lekki kwasek i orzechy włoskie, a na koniec bardzo rozbudowana ostatnia faza odczucia smaku. Szczegółowo, ocet, delikatnie ściągające drewno, wanilia i ciasto migdałowe. Ogólnie bardzo fajny Flanders, mocno octowy.
