A golden beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has fruitness and popcorn, hint of yeast and spicyness. Taste has fruitness, spicyness, quite dry. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Nothing special here but tasteful anyway.
A small taste @ the flagship Alko, press blind tasting. Pours cloudy straw yellow with a medium head. Aroma is fruity malts with some hops and ammonia. Flavor is grainy, sweet malts with some fruits and a hoppy finish. Strange brew. Drinkable.
From old ratings. Hazy golden colour, white foam. Nose is rather sweet, a bit citrussy, notes of peach.Medium carbonatin. Not bad.

Au nez : note florale , céréales et levures , un peu piquante au nez .
En bouche : sensation fruité et florale présente .

Amertume franche mais disparer rapidement.

Clear golden beer with small creamy white head. Aroma is yeast, and malty, very little hints of fruits. Taste is slightly yeasty, some sweetness. Alcohol is nicely hidden. Medium body. Easy drinkable strong ale. Overall descent beer, maybe a bit boring though.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear gold with a small lasting creamy white head. Aromas of bread, yeast, light spice and a hint of fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, spice and light yeast with a smooth dry finish.
Hazy pale gold with a big head. Aroma is spicy and yeasty, with bready and herbal notes. Taste light, yeast, grainy, with some odd herbal notes. Not very good, all in all.
At a tasting, smallish creamy head, hazy deep yellow color, light aroma of honey, almond and a hint of vegetables, sweet fruity candy flavor with lots of alcohol showing. Drinkable but not too good.

Robe blonde foncée, orangée translucide. Mousse blanche moyenne, stable, neigeuse. Bonne tenue. Nez doux, levuré, épicé (muscade léger). Bouche très douce, léger caramel, levurée, légèrement terreuse. Amertume très légère en finale, assez courte. Carbonatation moyenne, corpulence moyenne. Blonde belge très classique, fort douce et épicée.
Donkergeel bier met veel schuim. Smaak is zoet en krachtig met iets van gras en citrus. Mooi doordrink bier, zeker niet te zwaar.
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a semi hazy golden to hopper with a medium foamy white head and an aroma of yeast, sweet malts, citrus hops, fresh fruits, wheat and spices. The taste is medium sweet with a medium body, light carbonation a a medium lasting hoppy finish. A bit Duvel-like, but not as good as that.
33cl-fles in Le Brasseur te Moeskroen. U: Sterk wazig goudblond-oranje met een witte schuimkraag. G: Hooi, mout, gist en wat mufs. S: Moutzoet met een lichte bitterheid. Hooi, gist en opnieuw iets mufs. M: Doordrinker met medium carbonatie.
typisk belgisk smag, mangler dog lidt fylde. Fin smag af belgisk øl........
Bière avec une couleur jaune orangé,une mousse épaisse bien blanche .goût très Legé avec une amertume faible mais je garde un arrière goût désagréable.par contre j ai adore la texture de la mousse très honctueuse .
Conclusion :il y a tellement mieux en trappiste sur le marché que je ne la recommanderais pas.
Bottle 33cl, a clear yellow beer with huge head. Nose is low on belgian yeast and sugar. Aroma is on the same, no real dominant in the aroma, dusty touch, coriander, peppery hops, quite basic.
Gekocht in de Prik en Tik te Arendonk op 27/03/2015. Abbaye de St Martin blond is een helder blond bier dat bij het uitschenken veel gelijkmatig gevormd en wit schuim geeft, het is evenwel zeer vlug verdwenen. Weinig pareling merkbaar. De geur is zoet, licht moutig, fris en met een zeer lichte karameltoets. De smaak en ook de nasmaak zijn licht bitter. De nasmaak duurt niet al te lang met een lichte harmonische bitterheid. In de mond is Abbaye de St Martin blond wat prikkelend en zeer licht droog. Abbaye de St Martin blond is een volmondig bier.
Clear golden, thick white head. Sweet malty aroma. Subdued yeast. Corny. Similar taste. Medium body. Decent.

backlog, hazy yellow golden colour with a white head. nose of light citrus, faint malts, banana, yeast, and light coriander spice. yeast taste, off tasting, dry yeast finish. pretty weak and off tasting
Blonde d’abbaye basique de 7 % abv, refermentée, épicée.
Couleur doré soutenu, à la clarté nette.
Bulles fines, par centaines, partout.
Mousse blanche, nappage soyeux à 2 mm.
Arômes de malt grillé, pointe de beurre, aubépine.
1ère bouche souple à l’ensemble malt, cuberdon, pointe métallique.
Arrière-bouche faible, amertume médiocre.
2ème où la texture est assez correcte, mais le goût très pauvre.
Arrière-bouche très diffuse.
3ème un peu mieux intégrée.
Arrière-bouche un peu plus longue.
Longueur avec quelques notes de tabac blond, mais peu d’harmonie.
Jambes fines, serrées.
Levure douce, un peu fade, ligne moyenne.
Alcool correct, mais il peine sur la longueur.
Finale faible.
CONCLUSION : bière qui se résume à une belle texture, et quelques notes de goût disparates.
Le manque d’harmonie est lamentable pour une bière d’abbaye ...

33 cl bottle. Light orange color, hazed, lots of sediment. Big creamy white head. Punchy smell. Pale malts with yellow fruits and yeast. Light hops leading to a light bitter finish, taste sugary overall. Medium bodied, well hidden ABV, short spicy finish.
