Brussels Beer Project Delta IPA

Brussels Beer Project Delta IPA

Not your average Belgian beer. Its aromatic hops bring Delta IPA notes of lychee and passionfruit before surprising you with a frank and indefinite thirst-quenching bitterness. The Saison yeast adds its Belgian touch with a spicy and dry touch.

Delta IPA is our first beer. Launched in 2013 when IPAs were still unknown in Belgium. It’s deeply involved in the process of co-creation, elected by more than 850 Brussels residents in the summer of 2013, against three other prototypes (Alpha, Beta and Gamma). Today, she remains the star among the All-Stars!

3.7 Slightly hazy, amber pour. Aromas of mango, hops, white bread; tastes of mango, hops, white bread, sage, herbs, bitter pleasant aftertaste - nice
3.4 On tap at the brewery. Slightly hazy orange amber, white foam head. Nose is citrus, passion fruit, lychee, dry yeast, a bit of burnt bread crust, rubber. Taste is very dry, subtle tropical fruit, citrus grapefruit and orange peel. Bone dry.
3.7 Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with malty and estery notes. Bitter, hoppy and citric flavour with sweetish notes of malt and yeast. Citric and estery afterstaste with malty and funky touches. A nice one.
3.5 Draught, 6.5% at the Brewpub in Brussels. Mildly funky aroma. The flavour is yeasty and phenolic. Turns citric later. Yeasty and citric finish.

3.1 33cl bottle from hopt.it, France. Pours in loaded amber, hazy, with fine whitish foam. Aroma is hoppy and toffee. Body is slightly light, with good carbonation. Taste is medium bitter. Final is long and herbaceous.
3.5 Flaska. Disig gyllengul öl med ett smutsvitt skum. Doft och smak av malt, citrus, persika, hö och lätt kryddighet.
3.2 330ml on tap at the Beers Bank, Brussels. Aroma is light citrus, ginger, coriander. Appearance is hazy yellow with a thick foam. Light to medium bitter. Dry and very nice balanced. Good.
3.4 Ausgezeichnetes IPA, schön rund, fruchtig, süffig, leicht trocken hintenweg, passt.
3.7 Butelka (bb 05.02.2023) Nieprzejrzyste, pomarańczowe z niewielką pianą. W aromacie chmielowo, delikatnie. W smaku lekko chmielowo, orzeźwiająco. W upał wchodzi jak złoto
4.1 Rien à redire!
3.7 33cl bottle from Delhaize store in Bruxelles, drinking it on 23/07/2021 BB 02/12/22 Pours dark orangy golden with good frothy cream white foam on top, great lacing. Aroma is really fruited from the belgian yeast and smaragd, citra, cascade and mosaic hops. Strong notes of citrus and exotic fruits. Taste is crisp and refreshing if a bit dry and high bitter hoppy finish, balanced by the sweet fruited flavors and a slightly sour note. Quite tasteful and rich flavored, very interesting. Medium body and oily texture, a bit zesty and medium carbonation. A good choice, fresh and well made and they caught my attention with this one.
3.4 Alone at home. Golden colored beer with small white head and no carbonation. Hopped floral aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is bitter hopped dry.
4.6 IN CROI YABLE
3.7 Bonne bière, mais goût moyen
3.7 Copenhagen 11/3 2021. 33 cl bottle from Brygshoppen web-shop. Kind of classic simple label. Light blue with an orange stripe across. The version I am drinking holds an ABV of 6. Pours unclear, golden amber with a big white head. Stable and fluffy. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with tart, citric notes and a yeasty sent. Sweet peach. Citrus and tart gooseberries. Barnyard touch of Saison yeast. Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
3.5 Rien d'exceptionnel. Peu de longueur
3.8 Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is hops and citrus. Taste is citrus and grain, mild bitterness.
4.0 Hazy golden pour with big white head, retaining well. Aroma is nice, hoppy, tropical fruits, overwhelming the eventual saison yeast (that I don't sense). Taste with a nice and firm hop bitterness, that lasts long. Also fine carbo. A very nice and even exemplary IPA, although the saison element cannot follow.
3.8 Lightly hazy amber pour. Fruit nose. Crisp, fruity, belgiany, light bitterness. Refreshing.
3.6 Appearance: Light orange, some haze. Big, creamy white head. Aroma: Good fruits, Belgian yeast. Good hops. Taste: Citrus, light fruits. Good hops, Belgian yeast. Nice bitterness. Bought: amstein.ch, 330 ml, CHF 3.08 Info: 5/12-2020, BB: 29/1-2022
4.0 Bière très épicé Forte amertume, très sèche Mousse stable, épaisse et onctueuse Bonne ipa !
3.7 Cloudy amber color and a white head. Nice combination of tropical fruits and Belgian yeast. Rather dry hoppy finish.
3.3 Un po’ lèggerò a Da riprendere? Ni
3.7 Tap@Muusa, Tampere, Finland. Medium balanced nuances of slightly bitter mango, some pine and citrus. A hint of light malts. Averagely/highly hopped with clear profile. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with hoppy slightly bitter malts and fruits. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, organic and quite bold, fresh. Somewhat distinctive. 7 4 7 4 15
4.0 L’une des meilleures ipa que j’ai pu déguster. Belle robe légèrement ambrée. Une belle acidité accompagnée de notes de fruits agrumes et exotiques.
3.2 Slightly hazy orange with strong lasting fluffy head. Aroma is exotic fruits with pineapple, orange, zest, apricot, syrup. Taste on the other hand is relatively thin and overwhelmingly bitter with fruity undertones.
3.7 33cl fles. Tweeschijn oranje van kleur, fijne romige witte schuimkraag. De geur is citrus en tropisch fruit. Smaak is zoet, citrus, karamel en passie vrucht. Medium body en veel koolzuur.
3.4 Bottled, 330ml from Beer52, Edinburgh. Hazy gold to amber with white head. Sharp, quite aggressive hopping right up front, resinous and bitter from the start. It eases as you get through the beer, very citrusy throughout though but a more floral flavour comes through. Dry leafy hoppy notes in the close, so yes this is certainly a hop forward beer for me. It's fine.
