1.5 F: thin, white, quick gone. C: gold, clear. A: watery malty, bit toast. T: malty in very watery way, bit caramel, very thin body and 5,5% is masked well, mineral carbonation, easy to drink but not beer for me so take it away, 355ml bottle from Magasin Matira in Bora Bora.
3.5 Poured from 25oz can into shaker glass. A thick white head falls moderately with some decent lacing. Color is standard clear pale straw. Aroma of grains, water, not much else. Mouthfeel is light and easy drinking. Flavor is also mild -- just some malt sweetness, a hint of corn, can't really detect the hops, but I'm sure there most be some. As a plus there is not a strong alcohol taste as with some in this style. Overall for the style it is really not bad.
4.1 It will git ya drunk! This is a real beer that tastes OK and can get you drunk faster. Pretentious assholes will bitch about it because it isn't high brow enough for their dumbasses. No "notes" or creamy head, like your girlfriend gives, or you boyfriend like most IPA drinkers. BTW, Goddamnit, this site always fuck you over and makes you reload. FIX IT!
2.0 25 oz can. It poured a pale gold with a thick white head that dissipated into a thin cover maintained with a steady stream of carbonation bubbles. The aroma is yeasty with a very small hint of fruitiness. The taste is sweet. The mouthfeel is thin. A good start, then nothing but something wet to drink. It would do as an after lawn cutting beer in a hot muggy summer day.
2.5 It is a beer there to be show down for sure. But I think it's ok. Not as ricey as Bud. Very refreshing but also more kick at 5.5% ABV. It is a good summer beer.
3.0 Not a bad beer overall a B- in the American lager style, this beer is cheap has high abv and isn’t terrible especially during the summer months. I will warn you it can get skunky like Heineken. Try it you might actually like it, but I doubt you will because beer advocate is full of “craft or nothing”reviews
3.4 25 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 3/7/2018. Pours crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit too fruity aromas, but not overwhelming. Okay aromas with pale malt/grain and mild earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness. Very mild herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness of pale malt/grain and mild earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean lager flavors; minimal fruitiness. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. A bit thin, but not watery finish. Lightly increasing warmth of alcohol after the finish. Overall this is a solid iced pale adjunct lager. All around good robustness of pale malt/grain and mild earthy hop flavors; smooth, crisp, clean, and easy to drink. Feels about the same as Bud Heavy, with more alcohol and a bit more body. Not quite refreshing, but was expected. Clean pale malt/grains and mild earthy hop balance as expected. An enjoyable offering.
2.1 1 pint 9 oz can poured into a shaker- poured a transparent solid copper color, 3mm head formed but quickly disappeared due to the high carbonation, aroma of corn stalks and hard water. Hits the mouth with a very light body, malt is maybe 70 percent corn- maybe, middle has a sweet sensation to it with just a single hop thrown in, finish becomes water. Well, at least I’m supporting this site in a round about way when I drink ABINBEV products now... you didn’t think that was funny, huh?
2.5 Golden in color, no head as it was from the bottle. Malt liquor malty aroma. Fairly sweet and clean, like an unskunked corona meets malt liquor. Notes: bottle from the Juke Bar KC, Feb ‘18
1.9 Bud ice taste the best of all the Budweiser family. A lot smoother. And also very affordable.
2.8 1/20/18 With Abby while watching The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning. Poured from can. Pale straw with a quickly disappearing head. Kinda funky AAL smell. Taste is sweet corn with a bit of biscuity malt. Super sweet and actually pretty darn good. Standard AAL feel. Goes down like water. Overall, this is a step above the other ice beers that I’ve had. I’m surprised how well this holds up to a real review. I️ like it.
5.0 Went down real smooth. Nothing offensive and a nice price point. One of my favorite ice beers. Cheers.
0.5 Is this the worst beer I’ve had. It would need to have flavor for that. Light and thin and watery.
1.3 24 oz can from J J Liquors. Clear golden appearance with minimal white head. Mild aroma of malt syrup and light grains. Similar flavor, bland with mild sweetness and no bitterness. Light body with soft carbonation and a watery feel. Barely drinkable overall.
1.0 From Oct 2007 Pours from 24oz can a light gold with a good head of foam. The smell has the typical corn grain nose. The taste has light notes of malt, corn, and even smaller hop character. Very bland...it's almost like drinking lightly flavoured water. I can't say much more than that other than I'm pouring the rest down the drain.
1.5 25 oz can. Pours a medium, rapidly collapsing white head, without lacing, over an effervescent yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is hints of malts with cracker, bread tones, no hops......taste is mild malts with bread, cracker, very mild hop spice and finishing bitterness......mouth feel, light watery body, no alcohol, high carbonation. Given that the aromas and flavors are quite minimal this beer meets this utterly execrable style quite nicely, but that does not prevent it from being a drain pour. BJCP 6/3/10/4/7
1.1 25 oz can. Color is not quite drunk yet piss. Aroma is grandpa's breath and cheap malt. Tastes like I needed to drink it faster, somehow gets worse as it warms. Corn sweetness, more malt liquor than pale lager. It's pretty bad but pretty much exactly what I was expecting. For $1.29 though, it is a decent value buzz.
1.0 Bottle, UK brewed. Backlog entry. Entering my historic scores for US beers whilst visiting New York. No tasting notes kept, just rating.
2.5 Can @ home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white to off-white head that diminishes almost instantly. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, corn. Light bitter hint in the finish. Average body, medium carbonation. Ok lager.
2.0 This beer pours a piss yellow color with a very minimal head that fizzed away instantly like a soda. The aroma really stuck out to me because honestly there is no aroma. Maybe a slight cereal water aroma but extremely faint. The flavor is very lackluster as well which is to be expected. I only pick up some sweet cereal and bread. There is nothing off putting about this beer but obviously nothing sticks out.
3.0 33cl can @ home. Payed €4.29 for it, so this better be the best America has got to offer me. Clear golden yellow colour with a medium sized white head. Smells malts, pilsener. Tastes malts, grains, corn. Easily drinkable, thin body. Probably great beer for a beerpong tournament.
2.3 25floz can with "170902" that is perhaps some kind of freshness date ($1.50). Poured into a nonic pint glass. Ice House is my go to "Ice" beer, but sometimes it’s Bud Ice (not that I drink "Ice" beers all that often). It glows a light golden hue, erstwhile the the bubbly carbonation soars upward to support an adequate amount of head. Inoffensive on the nose similar to cardboard. Tastes kinda like cardboard too, but with maybe a little mold for some zing. An easy drinkin’ pale American macro lager that is alright for what it is.
0.9 Can. Pours a fizzy golden color with minimal head. Corny, sweet aroma. Sweet flavor with grain and corn notes. Slightly viscous on the palate. Not good.
1.1 Yessss, Bud Ice...that cereal flavored water that goes down so smooth like piss-water. What the doctor orders when you need to cycle the kidneys out ;)
1.7 Can (technically not a malt liquor, but part of the line up regardless). The following is a compilation of a dozen peoples’ thoughts who shared this brew with me at my first (and perhaps last?) Malt Liquor Dexterity Games Tournament to celebrate my birthday. Keeping in mind that most of the participants are not regular beer raters, here we go: clear pale yellow, aroma of wet dog, weak corny flavour, thin, insipid, nearly flavourless, the lord’s drink, this makes my pee clear, not premium, more like freemium, like Mrs. Anheuser’s bush, no flavour so easy light drinking, like a cool glass of water, no different from cold Bud Light, essence of clydesdale, a nice break from beer
1.5 Cut and paste all these mass produced beers would have a hard time telling any of them apart
0.7 Backlog. College chugging beer. Goes down easy but has a weird aftertaste. Not nice. Avoid.
2.2 As a cheap beer, I’d say go for it. When I want a cold beer but I’m strapped for cash, I’ll pick a 40oz of this up and relax. Typically I drink IPAs and Stouts, but on occasion I have to go back to my white trash roots. It goes down easy, doesn’t make the mouth taste horrible, and at 5.5% Alc, it does the job if you just want to relax before bed or after work. Where I live it is only $2.49 for a 40oz, so it’s cheaper than water.
1.3 Originally rated on 6/25/08.Another beer for high schoolers and college kids, ah i can remember this from back then. Not good beer -no flavor, smells bad and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. Avoid this and most other A.B. products
