2.9 Bottle at Crewe Dog, Crewe – as Budvar Nealko. Pours a golden amber with a minimal off-white head. Just a little maltiness in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet with high carbonation. Malts, breadcrumbs and a hint of oranges in the flavour. Finish is a bit dry. OK, but a bit boring.
2.5 From bottle at CBF Wien. Golden, clear body, with a medium, fluffy, off-white head. Aroma of corn, grains, grass, flowers, some citrus. Tastes similar. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation. Finishes quite light, medium bitter, grassy, grainy, a bit hoppy, a bit citric. 5 / 3 / 5 / 2 / 10
1.7 33cl bottle. Poured clear straw color. Fizzy. Grassy, malty with some papery notes, sweetness. Typical NA beer.
3.4 Bottle from Brunswick Aces. Aroma of hay and peach. Taste is sweet, with light lingering bitterness.
2.2 500ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a tall white head. Aroma is grass, metal, sweetish malt. Taste is medium sweet, grass, metallic hop. Light bitter finish.
2.7 Bottle from Cornelius. Clear golden body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of stainless steel and minerals. Flavour of tonic water and grass. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Passable but a bit metallic.
2.0 My Budvar Nealko came in a green bottle with a blue label. I’m assuming it’s the same beer. Nice colour, not much head, nice nose. But, ultimately disappointing - not much flavour, actually a bit watery. The daughter liked it for that reason but I will reach for other beers.
2.4 Bottle at home. Clear golden coloured with a small white head. Malty aroma of caramel, hay and grain. Malty flavour of hops and grain. Hoppy finish.
2.4 12/6/2021. Bottle from WiseBartender.co.uk. Pours clear pale golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, corn, grass, cardboard. Medium plus sweetness, light metallic bitterness. Light body, average carbonation. Does it's job.
2.6 Blue labelled green bottle; 33cl, as Budvar Nealko: BB 7th Sep 2021. Drank at home on 4th Jun 2021. Clean and clear golden body, fast fading white head. Malty front to the nose and taste, not much else going on really.
1.6 BB 05.10.2021. From a stubby poured a crystal clear amber with 1cm of bright white open foam that retained very well and laced very well. Carbonation high, lively and medium to coarse. Aroma strongly of malt with hints of corn and must/earth; no obvious hops. Taste is slightly sweet and quite metallic; overall quite bland; no bitterness. Light body bordering on watery. Smooth, crisp and clean with a short finish.
2.8 Ar: slodowo, dobra intensywnosc, rasowy pilsner, wyrazne ziola. Wyg: zloty-slomko klar, piana gruboziarnista opada. Sm: wyrazna ziolowa chmielo goryczka, troche slodu, nie czuc specjalnie ze alkofrei. Pos: ziolowo, wodniscie, pustawo.
1.6 Słabe, jak mus można wypić
2.0 Malty aroma. Golden color, clear with minimal white head. Little bitterness. Watery body.
2.1 Bottle shared at home (13/03/2020) sourced from Meny, Valby - pours gold with a white head. Grassy bitter with notes of straw, hay, cereal, wet cardboard, grainy malt, light watery body, grassy dry leafy hoppy bitter finish.
2.7 "Budvar Nealko", Flasche von Edeka. - Satt goldgelb, blank. (9.5.2021, rev. 15.7.2023.)
3.1 33cl Bottle. Appearance - golden with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - light sweet malt with a little herb/metallic hops. Taste - sweet malt, dry bready and hop finish. Palate - some hop bitterness gives some compensation for the lack of alcohol and body. Overall - for something that's not a proper drink, this is not bad at all.
1.9 330ml bottle, online from Dry Drinker. Pours clear pale golden with a loose white head. Aroma: sweet malts, grains, cereals, grass. Taste: light to moderate sweet and light bitter, cardboard, metallic. Light body, loose carb, sweet-ish finish. This was poor
2.0 33 cl bottle (BBD 2019-09-21), bought from Beerwulf as part of their alcohol free pack, drunk at home 2020-02-03. Appearance is a clear pale amber with a small amount of visible carbonation and a very thin white head that disappears almost immediately. Extremely underwhelming. Aroma is poor. The faintest hints of hay and grass, but there's a thick underlying non-alcoholic sweetcorn smell. Taste is more or less the same. The barest bitter hint up front that's quickly overwhelmed by the non-alcoholic sweetness. Palate is probably the best aspect. It's light-bodied, but has a nice carbonation in the mouth, is just juicy enough to satisfy, and is just approaching a moderate length finish. Overall, this is everything that's wrong with many non-alcoholic pilsners and lagers. The sweetness overpowers everything, diminishing whatever good qualities the beer may otherwise have. It's not actively unpleasant, but it's so sweet and just not very good.
2.8 500 ml can. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of lager malt. It tastes light sweet notes, a little bitterness. Aftertaste with a slight bitterness.
0.9 # 852; 9/2017. Prázdný, sladký, nakysle mlátový nealkoholické pivo s jemnou kořenitostí - vylito.
1.5 Kolor złoty, przezroczysty z średnią pianą. W zapachu mocno brzeczkowe, wyczuwalne wymiociny... w smaku niestety podobnie.
3.2 330ml bottle from Good Spirits Company Wine & Beer. Golden colour with a small white head which doesn't last. Aroma of lager malt. The taste is dry and refreshing with a lightly bitter hop finish. Quite good. Rerated from a 500ml bottle from Lidl. Same malty aroma with some herbal notes and the taste is bready, dry and with a light bitter peppery finish.
2.1 Botella. Clear yellow, small white head. Brewmash grainy aroma. Thin palate. Mild flavour, brewmash, grains, mild malt, low bitterness, watery.
2.0 (bottle 0,5l) Overall: Meh, just another worty NA. Aroma: Strong wort, sweet. Appearance: Clear golden. Minimal white head. Taste: Wort, light sweet, light bitter. Palate: Light-medium body. Astringent finish.
2.6 Złote i klarowne, choć niepozbawione pewnej ilości drobnych kłaczków pływających wewnątrz, piana szybka opada, drobne oczka. Aromat miodowo-skunksowy. Wysoko nasycone i wodniste. Nieco brzeczkowe, słodkawe ale też z wyraźnie goryczkowym finiszem.
1.3 0.33 bottle. *** Looks like a soft drink, foam-free extra "jack", not very encouraging. Smell of malt, normal, beer, lager. Very very carbonated, with less carbonation, beer tickets would be discoverable, making it a beer soda.
2.4 One of the better non-alcoholics. Not as full as real beer, but still at least a bit tasty.
