3.0 Bottle at home. Pours deep brown nose is roasted, fruity, taste is thin, sweet roast, light fruit.
4.0 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Sweet from the Blackberry juice, roasted malts, chocolate and a slightly milky, lactic touch. Lovely!
3.5 Bottle on the train during the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours rich brown with a creamy khaki head. The aroma has light diaper, tangy dark malts, grapes. Light sweet flavor with mild brett infection, slight roasted malts, dried and leathery fruits. Light bodied with average carbonation and creamy texture. Nice, lightly bretty finish with soft earthy bitterness, cocoa, leather and burnt grass. Good one, albeit perhaps not altogether as intended.
3.8 On cask at Congress, Longton - 3/10/14. Pours black with tan head. Very smooth easy drinking stout with hints of coffee and cream. Very nice.
2.9 Bottle on the IOW Jolly Day outward train tasting, thanks to JF, 24/08/14. Light black/extremely dark mahogany brown with a well appointed tan covering. Nose is soapy, light malt, faint berry fruits, not great. Taste comprises red berry fruits, dark malt, light roasted tones, faint cocoa, tangy fruit, lactic tang. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Pretty average.
3.6 Train bottle. Dark brown close to black with a medium sized diminishing tan head. Lots of berries, dark malts, hay, grass, brett or wooden earthy? Light/medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium sweet and light bitter. Soft and pleasant, easy going.
3.8 Bottle. Large frothy dark tan head, long lasting. Very dark colour, almost black. A sweet aroma of blackberries but also a light smokey smell, the kind that your clothes smell of after a BBQ. The initial taste is sweetness, but its the dry bitter taste that lingers for longer. You can taste the blackberries, but its certainly not overpowering. Good mix of berries and roast flavours. I like this a lot, its a beer with a difference without being other the top.
3.2 Bottle - Slight sour blackberry and some light roast.  Jet brown with a decent brown head.  Some malty roast, slightly acidic and some yeasty notes.  Interesting.
3.4 Bottle thanks to James during the IoW Jolly. It pours darkest brown with a decent beige head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, earth, mild berry, light acidity and cocoa. The taste is smooth, roasted malt, toast, creaminess, berry, earthy (almost brett-like) and a touch of acidity with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Soft, easy going and very drinkable.
3.4 Cask. Smooth and dark beginning. Bramble-fruity dark hints. Hints of sourness, not too much and easy to drink. Smooth, not too sweetish. Dry with a nice bitterness. The aftertaste is smooth, dry-bitter with roasted hints, still a bit fruity. Nice.
3.2 Cask @ The Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton before watching Derren Brown. Felt the pump clip was a bit deceiving as I couldn’t detect any blackberry juice whatsoever, and I do like a bit of blackberries in my beer (Offbeat’s blackberry mild is ace). That said, this is still alright. The chocolate malts do have an influence alongside a smooth, moderately sweet easy-drinking quality.
3.8 raisin, smoke, roasty, aromas, cream coloured foamy head, pitch black body, medium bitterness, lightly sour, salty, full body, oily feel, lively, bitter, dry finish, not much fruit really. not incredible.
3.4 Cask Third of a Pint at GBBF 2013, Olympia, London Aug 2012 - Black in colour. Very Fruity; berry fruits. Malty; roasty malts, chocolate, caramel. Hoppy; hop bitterness. Full-bodied. Smooth. Nice fruit/malt/hop balance. Sweet/bitter fruity malty throughout. Decent.
3.2 Aroma is dry and woody. Flavour is initially bitter with a solid, tart, fruity bitterness in the finish.
3.0 Bottle from Kris Wines. Pours black with a huge frothy tanned head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and red fruits. Taste is lovely sour red berries, maybe a light infection, but good anyway. Dry finish
3.5 Bottle. Near black with a moderate tan head. Blackberry fruits with some decent roasted malts, a hint of chocolate and dryish finish. Enjoyable.
3.6 500ml bottle, pours deep brown black, very fizzy with lots of bubbles in the head, reduces to a tan lacing. Blackberries first thing to hit you in the nose, lots of lovely blackberries, chocolate malts also, nothing too complex, a solid stout with the addition of blackberries give it an extra layer of flavour. Carbonation average, medium body, a little sourness, light bitter finish.
3.4 Dark brown coloured, almost black. Clear. Has a light-brown head, lasting. Roasted, sweet aroma, faint caramel. Flavor starts moderate sweet, faint chocolate and fruit. Creamy, dry texture.
2.2 old bramle aroma, black, brown foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, soft carbonation, light old finish.
4.1 Stout s příchuti (příměsi) ostružinové štávy. Zajímavá kombinace na můj vkus zde ale štáva není příliš výrazná. Jedná se ale celkem silné pivo výborné k těžkému jídlu.
3.7 500ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Black body, tan head. sweet and roast nose with forest fruits notes and brown sugar. Nice balanced flavour between the roasted malt, cocoa and burnt sugar of the stout and the mulberry, blackberry, cherry fruitiness. A very nice beer.
3.6 Appearance: Dark almost black color with a fine tan white head. Ok lacing. Aroma: Fruity, chocolate and some roasted malt. Palate: Medium plus body. Moderate sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation. Taste: Balanced and nice chocolate, coffee and roasted malty. Some fruity notes Overall impression: A really nice stout Personal stats: On tap at The Alfred in Burton-on-Trent, England.
4.1 Cask@lychgatetavern, wolverhampton. Almost black beer with medium head. Very good lacing. Excellent looking stout. Aroma of roasted malts. Taste is blackberries, chocolate and coffee. Full bodied. Excellent stout.
3.6 Cask @ Fernandes Brewery Tap, Wakefield. The pour’s deep brown with a tiny head. The nose is roasted malts, earth, sweet chocolate syrup. A bit of funky red currant. The taste is full of blackberry and bramble jam. Nice, bright fruitiness. Soft ashy roasted malts, nutella spread. Really nice, well-integrated flavors. Smooth-drinking stuff. Fine carbonation. This beer was served in excellent condition. Overall, a surprisingly good stout. Cool stuff.
3.7 Cask, hand pulled at The Wellington,Birmingham.28th february.Black coloured pour with a medium sized tan coloured head.Roast malt and blackbery aroma.Taste just as aroma suggests with a hint of chocolate too.Smooth and very easy to drink tasty brew.
3.7 Tasted from the bottle, on 16/12/2012. Pours of perfect black color, with a lovely, huge creamy head. Aroma is faint but elegant, with slight sourness, notes of berries and a bit bready in the end. Taste is gorgeous, proper acidic upfront, with tones of berries again, then quite roasty, with botes of dark chocolate and just a hint of vanilla. Recommended.
3.9 A very dark, black coloured beer with a thick coffee coloured head. The nose is fruity, plenty of blackberry with a background maltiness. Full bodied and dry mouthfeel. The taste is bitter, roast malt, burnt sugar and espresso coffee, which is then followed by a slightly sweeter blackberry fruit flavour that does give a little balance to the finish.
3.9 Cast at the Wellington, Birmingham: Opaque black brew with an perfect taste of roasted malts and chocolate, and subtle hints of blackberries.
2.9 Nice dark color with a rich toffee colored head. Nice balanced aroma and taste to match very nice with a Charcoaled steak.
3.7 JDW beer festival : Soy-sauce aroma, but really nice. Sweetness from the blackcurrant balances (disguises?) the bitterness from the dark malts.
