4.1Bottle, 330 ml. Pours slightly hazy yellow/gold with a thick frothy white head. Lots of carb visible, bubbles of various sizes. Carb and head calm down after about a minute and the beer seems to get a little hazier, giving that nice glowing effect. Moderate amount of lacing. Aroma is sweet, fruity, and quite foresty; lots of piney/herbal hops coming through over the sweet belgian malt and slightly tangy yeast. Quite a lot of candied orange, lemon, hint of tropical fruit. Some grass and a slight cheesy/musty quality from the yeast, which is subtle. Taste is sweet initially, then slightly tart, finishing on a musty, earthy/woody bitterness. Citrus fruit and light honey at the forefront with a slight bitter medicinal tinge to it, with some more herbal, resinous hops. Finish is bitter, slightly peppery, and bone dry. Lingers a while. Body is decent medium and carbonation is nicely sharp and crisp, complimenting the hops. Quite refreshing despite the strength. Like this one a lot.
3.5Tap.Hazy golden colour with medium white head.Aroma of yeast and green apples, nice fresh with some hint of apricot and peach, nice fruity and mild spicey aswell overall a good beer.
3.0Backlog. Sample. Peach, apricot, citrus, resin. Medium bitter, medium sweet. Nice, hoppy tripel
3.1The aroma is full of hops, yeast, hay, grass, apples and pears. The color is copper. The taste is full of hops, yeast, hay, grass, apple and pears. The finish is very synthetic and plastic-like. Weird..
3.7Bottle on a train. By myself. On a Tuesday.
This is quite interesting, and even after a bottle I'm still debating if it works. At first it's a straightforward IPA, with a spicy/earthy hop profile, but as it develops a Belgian yeast flavor shows up well. However, the really bizarre thing is the finish. There's a smoky taste that lingers at the end, almost like bacon. It's a suitably confusing end to a confusing beer.
3.1Keg @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a thick frothy head. Has lots of carbonation with mild fruity notes, some caramel, with its strength evident but not overbearing.
3.6Draught at The Pavement Vaults, York. Amber with white head. There is a fruity, peachy character to this, peachy alcohol then a fullish sweetness. Heavy palate. A pretty decent beer.
3.4Draught at Fermentoren.
Hazy amber colored with a medium sized white head.
Fruity aroma of hops and pine needles.
Fruity flavor of hops, pine needles and grapefruits.
Dry hoppy finish.
3.8. Aroma of yeast, floral bretty notes and grassy notes. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Taste with grassy notes and citrusy notes, as well light wood.
4.1Pours deep golden colour with off-white head. Aroma is yeast, malt, fruit. Flavour is quite sweet, with yeast, malt, hop, fruit, peaches. Full body. Very nice beer.
3.8Bottle dark gold large white. Dug up from a sales bin, 5 months past bb date (feb 17). Soft and fruity sweet, moderate bitterness, apricot, peach, yeasty, citrus, floral notes. Soft and juicy. I suppose the aroma has been better, and a fresh one will easily score a couple of extra points, but it?s still a really enjoyable belgian pale ale.
2.7Bottle from Burg Bieren, bottled 27JUN16 BB 27JUN17, 33 cl sample. Hazy dark golden color, medium rocky head. Aroma of peppery yeast, onion and garlic (like a lot of belgian IPAs smell), slight cheesy. Soft citrussy bitterness, sharp and dry peppery note. For a belgian IPA, its not that bad, but the style is just so bad: the low fg plus the peppery spice from the yeast simply doesnt match with harsh citrusy bitterness. You need body for that.
1.8Upon further tasting the Belgian-style yeast and malt is at least noticeable, but it’s an Anglosphere IPA and the aromatic hops hit hard, making the rest unenjoyable (11.2 oz bottle, Tallinn)
3.1Has that nice Buxton feel but doesn’t completely deliver. Too Belgian, not enough Anglo.

3.4Bottle. Duvel like. Boozy, feels too full on for 6.8. Like an abbey triple. Don’t mind it but it feels like a hangover coming.
4.8"bière résineuse en arôme une touche de caramel on ressent le malt, un poil fruitée. belle robe orangée légèrement opaque. Oui ! Dans mes tops direct.
3.9Bottle enjoyed at home
Copper clear, massive beige head. Smell of spices, herbs, belgian yeast esters, complex and inviting, earthy, nice malts. Light to moderate sweet, herbal, spicy, nice fruity tendensies, very nice flavor palette. Medium bitter, earthy and spicy tail
3.5Luktar citrus och jäst. Gulorange lätt molnig med mycket skum som lägger sig. Ganska bäsk, men god.
3.6Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is big Belgian yeast, light toffee caramel, some alcohol. The flavour is moderate bitter sweet with a dry crisp, light, refreshing, yeasty, malt alcoholic palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A Duvel light with a little more malt. Excellent actually and tastes stronger than the ABV suggests.
3.9Hazy straw colour / orange, soapy white head and circular lacing. Aroma is hoppy (floral, citrus) besides the typical Belgian yeasty nose. Taste is closer to a belgian ale than an IPA, but besides its malty character, honey and candi sugar, it gets a nice floral and citrusy hoppiness. Quite a pleasant and refreshing (for a Belgian) ale. Nice blend.
3.7Bottle from Prohibition Wines. Golden colour with a frothy white head. Strong malt character with a pronounced caramel flavour. Lots of hop character, with hints of orange, grapefruit, pine and spices. Some bubblegum-like flavour from the use of Belgian yeasts, giving this beer more of a Belgian Strong Ale taste than that of a regular IPA. A little boozy in flavour, but highly drinkable and absolutely delicious.
3.5Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. TCBW. Świetna praca drożdży, bardzo dobry przykład Belgian IPA.
