Buxton Moor Top

Cask; Keg & Bottle Conditioned; Regular.

A delicious beer. Hopped with armfuls of American Chinook hops, this beer oozes citrus flavour and aroma. It has a lovely sweetnes balanced with a lingering bitter finish backed up with a late grapefruit hit.

4.1 Proper smashable light pale. Quite light, slight haze, soft fruit, citrus, light mango, cut grass, light bitter finish. Epic.
3.8 Cream think body, with golden colour and white head. Aroma is phenolic and with wood hints with some malt, and fruit/ citrus. Body is medium. Taste is long bitter on the finish
3.7 Cask at Nuova Milano. Pours clear yellow with a large, frothy white head, long retention. Moderate fresh floral and woody hops with light cracker malt and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
3.3 Bottle, 330ml. Grapefruit/lemon aroma, pours clear golden. Initial taste is medium-sweet, with slight apple/pear hint with grass/wheat before the hops kick in. Finishes resinous almost overpoweringly so, again grassy (as in, the taste of grass, if you’ve ever chewed that). It is bitter - but I don’t know if I’d describe it as a "bitter", it just seems like another pale ale to me. Not as refined as some of the other Buxton ales.
3.3 Noe uklar lys brun farge med masse luftig hvitt skum. Lukter av grape og litt ananas. Fruktig og lett søtlig i smak. Noe bitter i ettersmak.
3.4 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Lekkie, doskonale pijalne, orzeźwiające.
3.1 From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours clear, golden with limited fine white foam. Aroma is weird: similar to a bretted beer, with hay, some cereal, some citrus. Body is medium. Taste is bitter, with some acidity maybe. Finish is long in bitterness.
3.4 Gravity Cask Third of a Pint at GBBF 2015, Olympia, London Aug 2015 - Clear Yellow in colour. Average white frothy head. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Hoppy; grassy hops. Malty; biscuity malts. Easy drinking. Moderately bitter citrus fruity hoppy throughout. Very tasty for low ABV. Decent. (2015-08-15)
3.8 330ml bottle, and cold. Pale yellow with small fine white head which disappeared quite quickly. Smells hoppy, and tastes very hoppy. Citrus aftertaste. I like it. I see it is also available on tap: I’d like to try that!
3.5 33cl bottle from beermerchants. Hazy gold color. Thin white head. Taste is medium high bitter, light sweetness. Thin dry body. Aroma is hops, herbs, pine, citric, pinneapple.
3.4 Pours clear yellow with a medium head. Aroma is lemon and sherbet. Bit of a lemony taste with a kind of homebrew aftertaste. It’ll do but I’ll not seek out.
2.7 Bottle from beer52. Thin head on pouring, a hazy straw colour. A little metallic touch to the after taste. Moderate level of hops, a decent table pale ale but nothing special.
3.5 Bottle at home. Aroma is crisp fruity hops, grass, citrus, grapefruit. Flavour is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Body is light to medium. Very nice crisp hoppy refreshing session ale.
3.6 33cl bottle at home from FirmaBier. Nose is fresh fruity, malty. Body is clear pale, head is big, white, rocky, mostly lasting, excellent lacing. Aroma is malty, citric, grapefruit. Light sweet, medium bitter, light citric sour. Finish is long lasting hoppy medium bitter, hint of salt. Light body, dry texture, average carbonation. Easy, refreshing hoppy beer, simple but tasty, nice one.
3.4 330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clearly carbonated clear bright gold with a foamy white head. Hoppy aroma, somewhat floral, some orange peel. Flavor is similar, sweet up front, a little hoppy bitterness throughout.
3.4 Bottle. Golden beer with a strong frothy head. The aroma is hopped with a dry yeasty feel, and the flavour is very bitter and hopped with a yeasty finish. Overall a nice well hopped pale ale.
Finale piacevolmente secco. Da bere bere bere...
3.3 Draft 0.15l at In De Wildeman Amsterdam Netherlands.07.04.2016.Pour it hazy golden color wtih small white head.Aroma eggy, kind of sulfur, annoying.Taste starts with herbal funky, kind of dry at the end, smooth finish with lemon flavor, fizzy carbonation, medium body, after taste grassy and grainy.
3.1 Sampled from tap at ’In de Wildeman’. Clear, golden yellow with a white head. Fruity-grassy aroma of lemon peel, grapefruit and pomelo. Slightly bitter, grassy-fruity taste of lemon peel, grapefruit and pomelo, followed by a short, slightly grassy-bitter finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

3.2 Torno dopo una cena da amici calabresi, che mi avevano dato di tutto; entro in casa apro il frigo e trovo questa. Devo bere per digerire, e in effetti la top fa bene la sua missione in questo caso, però non mi ha convinto del tutto...

4.0 Golden clear with proper white head. Aroma have some citrus, malt, grass, very little fruits. Flavour is quite IPAish, a lot of hops. Some strong notes of grapefruit, lemon as well. After rather bitter. Refreshing and very enjoyable!
4.0 Hazy golden with a large white, nearly solid, head. Nose is grapefruit and hops. Taste is straight bitter, very IPAish for a golden ale. Grapefruit and strong Chinook hops all over the place. Bitter, refreshing and very smooth. Very enjoyable beer.
