4.0330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/17/2015. Pours fairly crystal clear deep ruby red/light brown color with a small dense off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour raspberry, lemon, lime, orange, green apple, pear, red grape, wheat, spicy rye bread, light pepper, hay, straw, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate rye/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour raspberry, lemon, lime, orange, green apple, pear, red grape, wheat, spicy rye bread, light pepper, hay, straw, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/acidic tart/sourness and light spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sour raspberry, lemon, lime, orange, green apple, pear, red grape, wheat, spicy rye bread, hay, straw, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate rye/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/sourness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from acidity as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic, and lightly grainy/bready/creamy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a great fruited Berliner weisse. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate rye/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the moderate acidity. A very enjoyable offering.
