Wild Boar pours a pale straw colour with a fluffy white head. It has aromas of spicy lime and mango, with distinct flavours of honey malt and fruit punch, followed by a dry bitter finish.

3.2On trouve qu’elle a un goût de brocoli! Amertume légère mais pas assez complexe pour être appréciée comme il se doit
3.6Nice aroma, not much palate (good hop finish at the end of mash, but not present on the palate), enjoyable.
3.0From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours crisp golden with white foam. Aroma is weak of tropical fruits. Body is average with moderate carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet, with limited bitterness. Finish is average.
3.7330ml bottle from The Beer Shop Heaton Moor. Pours hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma hops citrus lemon/lime. Taste hop bitterness.
3.6330ml bottle. Pours hazy golden orange colour with a fluffy head. Aroma: fruity, grapefruit, mango, citrus. Taste: grapefruit, mango, citrus, light sweet biscuity malt, pine, not getting much "distinct honey" that was described, bitter pithy finish. Medium body, oily texture, moderate carbonation.
3.8Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with fluffy white head. Aroma of lemon, grape, grapefruit, lychee, some melon, lime, slight mango, a little biscuity malts, a touch of bubblegum and subtle floral, herbal hops.
Taste of lemon, grape, lychee, lime, some mango, melon, slight biscuity malts and subtle floral, herbal hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A long, slightly herbal, fruity hop bitterness in the finish. A massive array of fruit and citrus with a long, dry finish which keeps you sipping. Very good.
3.2Keg at Hop Inn, Newcastle under Lyme. Pours dark golden with a slight haze. Quite floral, some herbs, juicy finish. It’s OK.
3.5Tap. Pours pale gold with foamy white lace top. Aroma tropical fruit mango lychee and lime. Taste settles to a medium bitterness after a sweet start. Oily palate with light carbonation extending the bitter languor. A refreshing summer IPA.
3.5On tap at Buxton Brewery Tap House on 9-Apr-2017. Hazy pale amber colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, cereal, sweet malt and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of sweet malt, cereal, mango and grapefruit. Lightly hopped with medium bitterness. Enjoyable, refreshing but more of an English style IPA.
3.9Buxton IPA from a 33 cl bottle. Moussy, somewhat irregular, egg-white head, leaving some small patches of lacing here and there, quickly thinning in the middle but stable on the edges, over a lightly hazy ’old gold’ coloured beer with pale orangey hue. Aroma of lime juice, starfruit, pink grapefruit flesh, rambutan fruit, dank tropical orchids, warm toast, soggy biscuit, green peppercorns, fainter hints of unripe banana, minerals, cypress leaves, courgette, withering basil, freshly baked cookies, wakame, curcuma powder, old garlic, vague marihuana - but no ’old hops urine’ this time. Crisp, fruity onset but in a clean and restrained way, sweetish mandarin (lively) and guava (more subdued), sweet-and-sour passion fruit and a mild touch of softly sourish lime, even some very light umami of fresh green seaweed, softly carbonated in a supple, lightly oily, slick physical environment. A biscuity malt sweet core builds up after this, with even a brief accent of honey cookies, but quickly making way for the expected wave of lovely aromatic hoppiness, pleasantly drying the finish along with some dry baker’s yeast-like sensations; the hops leave behind a coating of spicy, quite deep and explicit bitterness, a tad wormwood-like even, but also behave properly in terms of retronasal impressions, ranging from orangey and lime-like to slightly piney and (exotically) peppery. This pepperiness lingers along with the last remnants of the malt sweetness after swallowing, but the hops clearly prevail over the malts; the tail is so juicy that it almost feels like swallowing freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. Aromatic, elegant, refreshing and a tad different from the ever more vast ocean of ’international IPAs’ spanning the world, this is again a beautiful Buxton creation. I love this brewery passionately.
3.4Hazy pale straw, soapy white head, sticky lacing. Aroma of mango and citrus. Taste is straight bitter, with lemon, mango, biscuit, resin. Funky after taste, with a lingering bitter feeling. Just OK.
3.7Bottle. Hazy yellow. Aroma: citrus and fruits, malt, a little spicy. Taste: malt, citrus, fruits, a biscuit, good hop bitterness.
3.6Light gold with a fluffy white head. Funky, earthy, slightly fruity aroma. Funky taste up front too, malty, a bit of resin and citrus, fairly bitter finish
2.833cl bottle served cold. Hoppy, soupy and resinous, a little sweet. Fine for one!
2.9The spiciness and Belgium like yeast taste put me off this beer, not for me,
3.0Aroma; mild orange, pale malts, mild bread n grass. Look; necksneaker, pearl head, near clear pale golden body. Taste; hops, grapefruit, mild resin, pale malts, lemongrassy notes - leading to fruity hoppy finish. Feel; slightly dry, soft natural carbonation. Overall; tasty fresh ale. 3.7This pretty ordinary, still a good beer reminds me of saying: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.” - Aristoteles
3.3Flowery boogie. Mild. Easy. Well balanced. Some tropical fruits. Medium bitter. Light body.
2.80.33 l bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Appearance is golden/amber, cloudy and the head is nice. No citrus hops here, just plain old bitter after taste in a big way.
3.85.7%ABV. IPA.
Poured out gold. 6ºSRM.
Nose is earthy and smells of mushrooms. I am intrigued almost immediately. Some really nice mildew-like funk.
Mouthfeel is soapy. Hops are spicy, minty, cilantro, chervil, fiercely herbceous, aggressively grassy, hint of a slightly rounded broader palate suggesting wild scallion and shallots. Resinous finish with sap and epoxy with a hint of curing silicone. Palate has some salty, bready breadth. Almost gose-like.
Finish is brief-medium.
