3.4 Less of an IPA and more of a straight down the line bitter. A perfectly pleasant pint.
3.0 Great colour and head. Light hoppy nose. Good lacing. Creamy and bitter with some citrus and biscuit. Nice dry finish. Great.
2.5 Goudgeel bier met een fijne moutsmaak, beetje bittere sinaasappel en karamel. De nasmaak is vol met een fijn bittere hopsmaak.
3.0 Not really an IPA, malty with a touch of orange and butterscotch. It’s ok, chestnut and copper pour, ok white head.
2.8 Can sample at a tasting at Beer&Beyond, Tel Aviv. Clear pale golden with big frothy off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, earthy, creamy, herbs. Sweet flavor with notes of malt, earthy, herbs, mild bitterness. Slightly dry, light to medium-bodied.
2.5 Refreshing IPA but not a very tasty one. A bit of floral and citrus taste. 1 finger head, good carbonation. Overall not so satisfied with it.
3.1 Loads and loads of malts in this. Not what I would call an IPA but still pretty drinkable. Good amount of carbonation (bottle), paleish poor.
2.9 4-3-5-3-16 ,bottle 0.5ml from Aushan (Iasi)
3.0 Pre RateBeer review, taken from comments written in my 1001 Beers book. I gave this a 3/5, but there are no tasting notes.
2.7 Pours golden colour white head . Not very hoppy for an ipa ., refreshing taste though
2.3 Pours golden with white head, taste is more like a Lager with a slight bitterness towards the end. It does not meet the expectations from an IPA.
3.6 500ml bottle. Pours a golden amber with a small white head. Nose is biscuit, light breadiness, floral, citrus zing and some nuttiness or a slight roasted grain. Smooth and light in the mouth. Taste is biscuit malts, almond, grain and cut right through with a lemon citrus zing. Mildly bitter in the finish. Nice beer. Not sure if it's a British style IPA or a golden ale though. Will drink again for sure !
2.9 Bottle. Backlog rating from bottle collection and historic scoring. Source not recorded. No tasting notes kept, just rating.
3.3 Clear, copper, thin head. Gentle european hops: grass, meadow, bit of honey in aroma. Bitter focus on the taste, a bit of metal notes. Crisp. Not bad.
2.7 Traveling in wales amber colored body with a big white head and with a spicy citrus fruity hop aroma a spicy sweet fruity dry bitter taste with a bitter finish
2.6 Artificial IPA.Aroma of light tangerine, some soap, some herbs, a little bit of honey sweetness. Flavor is orange, light biscuit, some marmelade, a little honey, some mild grasses. Dry finish.
4.0 Bottle 0,5L great hoppy, little grassy aroma. Realy drinkable, tasty session IPA. Good beer.
2.0 Bottle from local shop. Pours light copper, dark golden. Aroma is slightly fruity, marmaladey, caramel, mild hops. Flavour is grassy, bitter, dry caramel, no hops. Thin body, dry and medium bitter finish. Not an IPA, but maybe a bitter.
3.5 500ml Can from Tesco, Edinburgh and 500ml Bottle from Waitrose, Newcastle. Dark golden coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a toffee, malty and sulphur flavour followed by almond, fruit and a peppery hop finish. Pretty good.
2.6 BOTTLE 50 CL. Grayish-amber and clear, creamy ivory head. Aroma: white bread crust, soda water-like fruity perfume, some stale fruit. Taste: muddy fruit and traces of grains and cardboard. Lightly astringent rather than bitter finish. Pretty bad.
2.8 Refreshing but not tasting the ipa not hoppiness if anything dry like a martini x
3.2 I really liked this beer, it’s not too bitter (only the finish) and is very refreshing. The aroma is pretty hoppy.
3.8 A solid session IPA - light, hoppy and tasty. Brewery is almost next door to me, so it has been a long time favourite of mine that I use as the benchmark for judging other IPAs. Widely available in most shops and supermarkets in Scotland, so it is a perfect fall-back when there is nothing more exotic or interesting available. A perfect ale for introducing lager drinkers to the world of real ales.
3.1 Bottle at a restaurant in Edinburgh. pours a clear orange with some frothy, white head. Nose is pleasant, orange, light tangerine, some soap, some herbs, a little bit of honey sweetness. Flavor is orange, light biscuit, some marmelade, a little honey, some mild grasses. Dry finish.
2.1 Fresh fruity aroma, head that dissipates quickly leaving plenty of lacing. A murky dark yellow hue. Medium bitter taste like well a bitter in fact and too much yeast, not an IPA, tastes like a sticky sweet fuggles bitter . A most confused drink. Not to try again.
3.3 Bottle at Henley Festival, 6th July 16. Pours a dark amber. Aroma gives some sweetness and some hops. Taste has hops, come bitterness, quite rounded. Not bad
3.1 Interesting aroma of flowers and honey. Taste is weak for american ipa and rather typical for british: low bitterness, tart, strong malt component
3.6 Bottle shared by a friend, medium sample. Clear amber color, short frothy head. Aroma of caramel and toffee, slight fruity notes. Soft bitter in taste, caramelly sweetness, bit toffee, some toast. Tasty.
3.8 it’s got that thing that makes you want to drink another one after you’ve finished the first. Great beer.
3.3 Clear amber color with white head. Aroma has earthy hops and a good amount of underlying, bready malts. Taste starts well balanced between the malts and hops, bready and earthy. Finishes bitter and earthy. Light body with a nice minerality specific to British beers. Really easy drinking and refreshing but it’s doesn’t pack very much flavor.
