Camba Bavaria Hop Gun

Camba Bavaria Hop Gun

Camba Hop Gun has an intense chestnut colour with a
bright, sticky foam. The aroma is dominated by fruity notes of peach, raisins and cherries, pared with a hint of caramel. The taste is lightfooted and refreshing. The addition of typical american hops like simcoe and amarillo results in a balanced composure of fruity cocktail and well regulated bitterness with a light caramell finish. The alcoholic content is 6,4 %, the original gravity is 14,6 ° Plato with 46 IBU.

2.9 at home brown colored body with a large off white head and with a citrus fruity malt hop aroma a citrus fruity malt hop caramel dry bitter taste with a bitter finish
3.5 Hazy brown. Moderate ivory head. Aroma and taste: caramel, toffee, nuts, citrusy hops. Light to medium bitterness. Not bad
3.6 Labels with a lot of detail information about this beer here. No story but enough information. Cloudy red brown beer with normal cappuccino head, smell is sweet, overripe tropical fruits and also caramel, taste is overripe dark fruits, malty but not too much, average carbonation, light sweetness, medium body, thin texture, long finish, (I have 0.33l bottle with best-before 06.05.2019 and batch 0806 1027)
4.0 Super tall, foamy and persistent off-white heaf over a dark chestnut body. Aroma is peach, rye bread, candy sugar and caramel. Mild cistrusy notes to cover it all. Taste is citrusy with lots of grapefruit. Caramel, rye and tobacco leaves backbone. Dry and bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture.
3.6 Review: 0,33l brown bottle of Camba Bavaria Hop Gun: 6.4% vol. Found the bottles to be quite heavy for some reason, a bit strange! This beer won Best American Brown Ale at the World Beer Awards in 2016 in the country category. According to their website. For the appearance I get a reddish brown looking beer, with a decent sized white head. Some nice carbonation. Head maintains well. Some light lacing left on the glass. Decent looking beer. A very nice smell on the nose, lots of fruit aromas. Can get a hint of grapes, orange, peach, apricots, all lovely. Hoppy taste at the start, hitting the senses right away. Also very fruity, getting the grapes and the apricot, and other fruits, well balanced, very well balanced with the hops. Not much in bottle, which is always a disappointment. Yeah it is ok, tasty enough to enjoy. A beer to sip and enjoy over a long stretch in the evening. Alcohol well hidden. I feel its more like a Black IPA than a real ale. Over time I got to enjoy this beer more, a deep bodied taste that goes down well, hoppy but manageable. Most of the pleasurable tastes are at the start. Would like to return to again for a further test.
3.6 Amber coulered beer with off-white head. Aroma weet malt with herbal hops. Taste is sweet malt with a nice spices balanced finish.
3.3 Can from Bottle Baron. Hazy brown body with a huge off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine, toffee apple and flat Coca-Cola. Flavour of grapefruit, caramel and tinned orange. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. It’s a touch too sharp in my opinion but this is a decent hoppy Brown Ale.
3.5 0.33 bottle in Munich. Light brown ale, thick lacy head. Nose of caramel and fruity hops. Sweet taste belies the caramel malt and residual sugar. A little hint of that piney, dank West coast hop aroma. A little too bitter/astringent for me, but nevertheless well balanced.
3.4 330ml bottle; well in date when drank at home on 31st Aug 18, sat on the patio in the late afternoon sun. Red hue to the brown body, the head a beige affair. Malty molasses and tropical fruits in the nose, the taste similar with caramel and peaches to the fore, nice.
3.5 Reddish color, white head, fruity aroma with caramel notes, medium body, average carbonation.
3.0 Bottle from Galeria Kaufhof, Alexanderplatz. Clear reddish with a white head. Aroma and taste of citrus, light pineapple and some malt. Also some hints of caramel. An ok one.
3.6 3,6 kvMhd
3.3 Hazy orange-brown with a tan head. Mango, caramel, peach iced tea, dried apricot, elderberry, grapefruit, resin, a touch of cough drop. Medium bitterness, medium sweetness, light to medium sourness. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation, astringent finish.
3.1 There's so much happening with hops, different aromas and flavours that they don't stand out, and the mouth feel is a bit indifferent.
3.0 citrus, herbs, grass, floral, golden, pale, orange, orange, red, clear, sparkling, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, very bitter, medium body, light body, lively, average carbonation,
3.4 Reddish brown, clear, big white head. Smell is very subtle but typical grapefruit, lime, pineapple, mandarin smell, slightly sour, salty, spicy. Taste is bitter sour with a good fizz and hint of malty sweetness. Interesting combination of tastes. Astringent citric finish.
2.5 Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with notes of malt and mild touches of hops and caramel. Bitter and citric flavour of hops, with roasty and nutty notes and touches of malt and yeast. Bitter, roasty and estery aftertaste with acidic hints. The acidity is not desirable here. Tastes off.
2.1 Bottle, 6.4%. Farty or cheesy aroma... Hazy brown colour. Small frothy off-white head. The flavour is slightly citric and seems infected. Unclean. Not a gusher, but does not taste right. Does not taste of hops much, either.
3.2 0,33 l Flasche. Rotbraunes Bier, stabiler, cremiger, cremefarbener Schaum, tolle Gardine.
3.4 Can. Big beige head on a deep amber body. Red fruit, oranges, wheat. Nice medium sweetness, a hit tart, medium bitterness. Round medium body with medium carbonation. Nice.
4.1 0,33l Flasche. Rötliche Bernsteinfarbe.fester beiger Schaum. Leckerer Duft. Nüsse, Hopfen, Mandel. Sehr rund.
Hohe drinkability
2.7 Wenig Aroma, etwas Malz, etwas Grapefruit. Farbe: schön dunkelbraun. Feinporiger Schaum. Sehr leicht im Geschmack. Süffig. Wenig bitternoten.
