Camden Town Camden Pale Ale (Bottled)

Camden Town Camden Pale Ale (Bottled)

Camden Pale Ale
Style: American-style Pale Ale
ABV: 4.0%
IBU: 40
Malt: Pale Ale, Cara, Munich and Wheat
Hops: Cascade, Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial, Simcoe, Calypso and Citra (BOOM!)
Available: 30 litre kegs and 330ml bottles

The story: Inspired by outrageously hop-heavy American craft brews, we wanted to brew one of our own, only at a lower, massively-drinkable ABV. It’s our UK spin on an American classic.

The taste: Punchy American hops throw out a big aroma of grapefruit, orange and tropical fruit. It’s a bright orange-gold colour. The body is subtle and clean and a golden platter for carrying the hops. The bitterness rolls in and then ends dry, making you thirsty for another gulp.

3.2 Can from Beer Hawk gift box. BB Mar 2021; Drank Jan 2021 - Clear orangey gold. Good white head. Citrus fruity aroma. Taste of citrus and tropical fruits, grapefruit, orange. Moderately hoppy, floral, pine. Mildly spicy. Biscuity malts, caramel. Fairly dry. Sweet-bitter citrus fruity floral hoppy spicy. Easy drinking. OK. (2021-01)
4.3 Schiuma grana media, aroma fruttato luppolato, colore ambrato, buona carbonazione, buon gusto luppolato e retrogusto dolce e secco. Buona!
2.9 Aroma 7. Appearance 3. Taste 5. Palate 2. Overall 12. Hops and citrus aroma. Bitterness, malt, slightly sweet taste, less fruity than expected.
2.9 Meh.
3.8 Blond limpide fine mousse brune abondante mais éphémère. Arome fortement houblonné(citra) : agrume, mangue ,acidulé; malt caramélisé bien présent et légère amertume. Manque léger de corps. Se boit facilement
2.3 Slightly cloudy golden colour. Smells great, floral, citrus hops. Taste is very disappointing, watery, quickly disappearing taste. Slightly bitter, duller version of the aroma. Poor for the price paid, but I suppose it is AB InBev
3.4 330ml bottle. Gold, small white head, decent retention. Aroma of grapefruit, flora, mango, malts. Taste is pleasant if a little subdued with grapefruit, malts, hint of citrus zest, orange. Light to moderate body, decent soft carbonation. An easy drinking session pale. Nothing amazing but decent.
2.9 330ml Dose. Klar und dunkelgolden mit großer Schaumkrone. Leicht muffiig. Etwas Hopfen. Leichter Körper. Milder Abgang.
3.4 Can from a BeerHawk box I was given. Aroma is stone fruit with a piney edge. Amber-gold. Thick foamy white head. Light-medium bitter with a touch of sourness. Underlying sweetness. Soda water edge. Unobtrusive but crisp stone fruit and malts. Light bodied. Thin. Very fizzy carbonation. Dry if abrupt finish. Decent enough. Refreshing. If not memorable.
2.8 Can. Light citrus aromas on the nose. Light bitter taste, a bit cardboardy, a bit flavorless really.
2.5 Nez parfumé, fruité exotique, engageant. Sec en bouche sans aucune longueur, peu de parfum. Très légère notes exotiques insuffisantes. Ne tient pas ses promesses.
4.2 Citrus, mango, pineapple on the nose. Thick white head with lacing on the glass. Hoppy on the palate but balanced with some light malts, not too bitter. Very easy to drink, would pick up again.
3.5 Bottle in France, pouring clear golden with a white head; decent retention. Aroma is bit malty but more hoppy; mild fruity and resinous. Taste is pleasantly bitter. Actually rather a nice pale ale.
3.2 33cl can from Asda. Thick white head. Slightly hazy golden pour. Light bitterness. Easy drinking
3.0 Not getting too much on the nose - maybe light hops and a little pineapple. Tastes hoppy with a dash of passion fruit. Gentle bitter aftertaste. Not too much going on here but not unpleasant.
3.2 Bottle from Beer Hawk as Father’s Day gift. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste crisp citrus and malty caramel. Medium body.
3.3 Appearance is amber, with a 1-finger pure white head. Aroma is cereal malt, wheaty hints, hoppy fruit, mango hints. Taste- hops, grapefruit and citrus fruit hints. Malty cereal, orangey. Bit of lingering bitterness.
4.3 Une bonne pale ale rafraîchissante et avec beaucoup de goût. Des arômes typiquement anglais et goûteuse, très légère en alcool, parfaite servie bien fraîche.
3.9 Camden Town Brewery Pale Ale 4.0%. Golden, citrus and pine aroma, medium bodied, pale malt, citrusy, grapefruit, oranges. Lovely Pale Ale from London 🇬🇧
3.8 This is one of those Beers where there isn’t too much to it, the dominant notes of grapefruit feature in the aroma, taste and mouthfeel, but is it a good Beer on the whole? Yes, just a simple, refreshing, very well made beverage toning down the American standards that will no doubt please a British crowd. 3.2 330ml can, strong head and orange-gold colour. Bitter, citrus fruit, pine, malts, white bread, grassy hops, semi sweet. Smooth body for a 4% beer, but greasy texture.
3.2 Medium coloured golden ale. Bubbly head. Very light malty aroma. Clean, smooth subtle taste.
3.5 SKÅL, CHEERS, SALUT, KIPPIS, YAMAS, L’CHAIM, PROOST, SALUTE, KANPAI 🍻🙏😎
4.0 Leggera, fresca e beverina. Profumo floreale, gusto delicato. Ottimo pre-cena.
3.4 Golden, clear with a white head. Aroma of hops, citrus and some malt sense. Light bitter with a hop and citrus Finnish, quite refreshing.
3.0 J'avais un peu peur de la décapsuler, n'étant vraiment pas fan des pale ales ou des indian pale ales, et ai été agréablement surpris. Elle n'arrache pas trop, et trouve grâce à mon palais avec quelques chips.
3.0 Clear and honey-gold in colour, with a bright white head. Aromas are largely fruity, with some pine notes. Easy drinking with a mild bitter finish.
2.5 Cerveza dorada, de carbonatación y cuerpo medio. Aroma maltoso y un poco de caramelo. En boca destaca la malta y tiene una parte ligeramente cítrica.
