Cannabia

Cannabia

The use of Hemp Flowers (among other entheogenic plants) in Beer was a common thing in whole Europe before the year 1512, when the so called "beer purity law" appeared in Germany.
This purity law is perhaps the first anti drug law of the menkind...
Hemp is an emparented plant with hops. Hemp flowers have more than 140 different aromatic compounds.
Many of them are found in hops too and many others that are not produced by hops but fits perfect with hops together.
This all different essential oils that results in the unmistakeable hemp flower aroma of Cannabia.
Cannabia contains more hemp flowers than hops flowers.
The production of Cannabía was autorized in ’96 by the Berliner authoritys. For more on this beer visit: http://www.dupetit.de/english/framer.htm

2.1 Bottle. Color light hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma citrus, cannabis, some hops. Taste sweet, cannabis, citrus, floral.
1.1 Bottle from dregs run. Pours hazy lemon. Nose of staleness, ash, bitter lemon. Taste is funky, bad funky...
3.0 Bottle at ash tasting post borefts 2016... Golden yellow.. Thin white lacing... Soft sweet dry hay fruit nose.. Soft zesty dry herbal. Zesty fruit
2.8 Bottle from Real Foods. Appearance - pale golden with a thin lace head. Nose - malt and faint green note. Not sure I get the cannabis whatever that smells like. Taste - malt and light green vegetables again. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - don’t get it.
1.5 Bottle at Appellation tasting. Pale clear golden. Nose is dank, dusty, straw. Tastes dank, grass, straw. Quite horrible.
1.8 Bottle at appellation. Pours pale golden, nose is floral, lemon, dank, taste is harsh, soapy, lemony, grassy
2.3 Bottle from platform 22. Pours a clear yellow with a lively head that fades quickly leaving fair lacing. Aromas of cut grass, cannabis, and floral. Flavour is similar with a unpleasant herbal tang. Interesting to try but wouldn’t buy again.
0.8 Pours a golden color, with almost non existent head. Aroma of grass, nuts and nothing more here. Medium body, nothing special in the palate. Taste of grass and nuts. Just like any other cannabis beer I’ve tasted, it wasn’t worth the while. Neither the money.
2.1 Bottle accidentally frozen, then defrosted and sampled at home. Hazy golden with no head. Bitter green leaves on sugary sweet water. If you try hard you can recognize dank hemp leaves in there. Light sweet, under medium bitter. Watery thin body, no carbonation, but that’s because it has been frozen. Oh well.
2.6 This is the first time I taste beer with cannabis, and I am obviously excited. The foam is nice, but unfortunately shortly. It smells a lot of lime and spice and also a slightly perfumed aroma. The taste is rich and soft and leaves a slightly spicy bitterness that with my little knowledge may be deemed to originate from hemp. It will certainly be a good thirst quencher in the summer heat and would also be good for lightly spiced grilled dishes.
2.4 From Hipercor. In Ikea?s lager glass. Playing Bardbarian. No foam. Odd aroma and taste. Im not sure if I like it or dislike it, but im more inclined to think that in the long it may be tiresome.
2.6 330 ml bottle at restaurant Botaniq, Copenhagen. Clear golden with white head. Light grain, floral and citrus. Semi dry with low bitterness and high carbonation.
2.2 Utiliza cañamo en la receta. Dorada clara ligeramente turbia. Aroma a cereal. Fuerte sabor a cereales, algo dulzona y carbónica. Tono aguado. Mucho marketing, poca cerveza.
2.3 Pours golden with thin white head. Nose is grassy. Aromas are sweet malts, grass and some skunky notes. Light body, lively carbonation. Refreshing, but nothing exceptionnal here.
2.2 Flaska @ god vän, tack Frode! Rate nr 1000!
1.7 Brežice Beer Fest. Huge thanks to Gnomix & Hmeljita for enough of this to rate :D. I’ve been avoiding it for ages - not because of what it is, but because it was always, ALWAYS so damn overpriced... And it’s a damn good thing I have. Typical golden lager with a small white head. Honeyish, malty aroma with little to nothing else. The taste is, again, sweetish / honeyish with some vague herbal notes. Not as terrible as that "absinthe" beer I’ve had recently, but as much a gimmick as that one and as dull as that one.
Color dorado. Sabor ligeramente a malta, aguado.
Agggh!!
2.5 0.33l bottle. Golden color with white head. Aroma is herbal, grainy and earthy. Taste is slightly bitter with herbal notes. Overall it’s quite refreshing beer, but not too special.
2.2 A 0.33 l bottle from Ivana Trgovina, Split. It poured golden body with medium sized head. Grainy, a bit spicy on earthy more than weed way, some other cardboard hops, which drive the lightly bitter flavor as well, which is no wonder since it’s German. The other, sweet component was only slightly less pronounced but say balanced. Included mostly grain, some caramel and honey. Thinner in body actually with shorter, a bit dryer cardboard finish although a hint of honey survived all the way through. Story about the commercial description promising hills and valleys is a complete bullshit though, this pale lager is rather simple and actually boring. The story also makes it possible to cost over 3 euros, at least at that store, which is another drawback. But it’s not that bad and after all it’s refreshing enough on a hot summer evening.
2.3 Golden yellow color, with slightly cloudy white foam. The smell is similar to the hops, but more pungent, which is normal because this beer is made of hemp (not cannabis) instead of hops. It is bitter but refreshing. Come on, nothing to call too much to drink.
1.2 Botella de 33 cl de el c. Ingles.
Geruch malzig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack ebenfalls leicht malzig, getreidig, grasig, etwas würzig.
1.8 330ml bottle. cloudy yellow color with small head. woody aroma with grass notes. taste is similar with dry finish.
1.9 33cl bottle. Pours clear golden with no head. Aroma is grainy, spicy hemp notes, light grassy. Flavor is almost the same, light bitterness, a bit more grassy.
2.7 Bottle at Anastasia’s Kitchen, Tring on 16 March 2014. Poured a hazy orange, with a dense white head and some lacing. Aroma of ripe oranges, aniseed and lager malt. Sweet, fruity flavours of caramel, banana and some grass. Finish was toffee, dried fruit and mild copper. Not great, but far more passable than I had expected.
