4.6 Taken to celebrate my wife’s b day, nice and tasty, as it warms up, you think you’re drinking the best of a wine/beer combo. A bit pricy, but a nice treat for a special occasion.
3.4 Pours dark red fading into purple, some haziness. Just a thin layer of quickly dissipating, large-bubbled head. A not especially vivid or complex aroma: quite strong sourness (mainly acetic, partly citric), mellowed by wet wood; notes of red grapes and (lighter) lemon. Possibly more acetic than actually meant, though not unbearably so. In the taste: acetic sourness still taking the main stage, but now more in check. There's a soft, semi-sweet base of wet wood and slight cardboard to mellow things out, followed by notes of red wine and lemon. Average or slightly above average per style sourness, mainly acetic, partly citric. Nice finish/aftertaste, with a clean, half-sweet reminiscence of grapes and lemon. I still think this is a bit more acetic than meant. The mouthfeel is where this beer gives it's best. Medium bodied with very light, super-delicate small-bubbled carbonation, resulting in a very nice smooth silky feel with just the right hint of prickliness. Not as complex or interesting as expected, and maybe a bit too acetic, but still a pleasant overall experience, thanks mainly to a nice mouthfeel and a nice long finish.
4.0 Rode druivensmaak. Zeer interessant in een biervorm. Lichtzurig v tpmap gedronken in Resto neuit u genough
3.8 Sample from bottle at the brewery (2015 vintage), Brussels. Aroma is all about that barrel flavour. Taste is rather mellow and ending is very dry like a bordeaux red. Again, like other wine cantillons, this is an incredibly clever beer but wouldn't say it approaches their white grape beers. The ending is a little quiz in a burst of fizz. Lovely ofc but there are better.
4.0 Red with a pinkish head - Tart wood fruity aroma - Tart malt body with wood and some fruity tones - The tart wood and fruity tones goes into the finish - This was good
4.3 0,3 litre On tap at Himmeriget. Reddish brown with white head. Malts, Fruity, sour, Smooth!
4.2 Generous pour at Wild Festival. Appearance: raspberry red with a small pinkish head. Aroma: fresh red grapes upfront with some red wine, funky notes, slightly citrussy and brett like, old wood and dusty attic. Taste: mild sweet- and bitterness, and quite heavy tartness. Notes of red grapes and grape skins, lemony brett, autumn leaves and dust. Palate: medium bodied, slick texture and lively carbonation. Overall: not my absolute favorite grape lambic, but it is still very good. The taste fitted my expectations more that Racine for example.
4.2 [2019] 750ml bottle. Clear purple pour, no head. Flavors are grapes, lemon, apple, mushroom, earth and funk with light acetic notes. Light to medium body, soft to moderate carbonation, oily texture.
4.3 Bottle sample at a tasting. Hazy red-bourdeaux with pinkish head. The aroma has notes of red wine, wood, vinegar, funk, barnyard. The flavor is sour with notes of red wine, wood, vinegar, lemon, a bit acidic. Dry, medium-bodied.
3.9 Bottle brought home on last visit to Brussels. Pours slightly hazy red with small head. Red grapes, berries, wood, leather, dry finish with tannins. Medium body and average carbonation.
3.0 Only one bottle! It was so SAINT day reaching it. So rare! But disappointed. Of course lindemans framboise is much more class in it. Perfect aroma and sweetness, natural taste and sour balanced taste. Here only sour taste + wine. Aroma was not heavy enough for this price...
4.5 Kolor purpurowy. Aromat bucha drewnem, winogronami i nutami funky. W smaku bardzo wyraźna nuta czerwonych winogron. Cierpkie z fantastycznym owocowym finiszem.
4.4 Krwisty kolor. Potężny aromat, mnóstwo skóry, tanin i czerwonych winogron. W smaku sok z winogron, akcenty wina. Również sporo skóry, tanin i typowych nut lambika. Całkiem wytrawne, na finiszu pojawia się drewno i posmak czerwonego wina. Intensywność a równocześnie balans powala. Rewelacja.
4.2 W aromacie wiśnia, winogrona. W smaku kwaśne, lekko słodkie, dość wytrawne jak na lambica.
4.2 Wypite lane 0,3 litra na Zwanze Day 2020 w Browariat w Katowicach w dniu 26.09.2020.
4.3 Prima zachte en volle tonen van rise druiven en eikenhout, afdronk is niet te metalig, maar ook weer niet zo gebalanceerd als een fou, prima
4.2 ( bottle) Aroma: wood, grapes, horse blanket, Taste: semi-sweet, quite sour, flavour of grapes, vinegar, wood, wine funk, dry finish. Palate: medium body, medium carbonation. Overall: Very wine-like, tart and dry. Yummy!
4.4 Pours a clear, deep, dark ruby red coloration with a small, fizzy head that fades to a thin ring around the glass almost instantly, with very slightly visible carbonation. Smell is quite dominated by a lovely tart red grape aroma, with milder notes of blue cheese funk and musty oak, as well as just a hint of red berries and mild tannins. Taste is an excellent balance of quite vibrant, slightly tart red grapes, some light blue cheese funk and a distinct, mildly tannic, musty oak presence, as well as subtle hints of red berries, lemon peel and balsamic vinegar. Finishes quite dry, with a light tartness and some red grapes and musty oak lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth, effervescent mouthfeel with a medium body and medium/strong carbonation. While the sour and funky notes are a lot more subtle here than I expected, this really makes up for that with an absolutely sublime balance of vibrant fruit character, strong oak presence and funky highlights, while also displaying quite a dry body rounded out by a light sweetness. The red grape and berry notes, as well as mildly tannic, musty oak lends a certain vinous quality to this that is quite pleasant and also enrichens this with a certain depth, while still remaining quite refreshing and easily drinkable at the same time. A superb Lambic overall, that is perhaps not quite as rich and complex as other examples of the style, but makes up for that with a subtle, nuanced balance that is absolutely sublime.
2.7 De Tercertiempocervezas. Version 2018. En copa Teku. Viendo El Hombre en el Castillo 2x01-02. Con turron suchard y galletas tostarica. Una acidez mas comedida y soportable que en otras cantillon pero no dice mucho, apenas tiene interes. Las uvas no se notan casi nada
