Original Lager

Ingredients: Burton water; White Lager malt; English hops (varies); yeast.

Carling Black Label developed as a brand in 1927 from the Canadian brewery Carling O’Keefe's existing Black & White Lager. It was introduced into the UK in 1952 in bottles, the first UK keg was launched in 1965. The brand became hugely successful in the UK via a very popular ad campaign - "I bet he drinks Carling Black Label", and has been Britain's best selling beer brand since then. The original Carling O’Keefe brewery was purchased by Molson in the 1980s. Coors later purchased both Molson and the UK license holders Bass. The name changed from Carling Black Label to Carling, with the subtitle Original Lager, in 1997.

4.9 Delightful. Brilliant aftertaste don’t think anything compares if I’m honest.
2.5 An beer endemic throughout the UK, I suppose on a really hot day its ok for a pint but its too tame for me ,a fizzy, yellow forgettable brew .
3.8 Carling
2.0 Puuuh, quite light, very light body. Grassy, faint hops. Thats it, folks. But quite good music around.
2.6 440ml can brewed in England at (ostensibly) 4%. See-through gold with a very large white head, good-duration. Sweetcorn-water aroma. Not a good start. Lowish carbonation. Watery. Faintly tinny, slightly sweetcorny, some white bread malt. Not bad to drink per se, but has nothing to recommend it either. A smooth, somewhat watery sweet lager that is almost offensively inoffensive, but still obviously cheap and bog-standard. If you want an inexpensive, readily-available lager to swill in large volume without much risk of upsetting the palate (it may be pissy, but it's damned weak piss...), this is a decent buy - but only on those terms. There's nothing for the connoisseur here, or even the person who likes quality beer with his grub. Considering the company is on record for lying about the ABV being 4% after it was measured and found to be 3.7% (and has not come out and said they have rectified the situation), this is a beer I would not drink, merely on principle.
0.5 If you like puddle water, drink it then piss that in a glass and then you've got yourself some carling
2.2 APARÊNCIA dourado, translúcido. creme branco de boa formação e média persistência. AROMA malte, cereais e um toque cítrico. SABOR malte e cereais com suave amargor. SENSAÇÃO corpo baixo e média carbonatação.
1.7 How: Draught. Where: Murphy's Irish Pub, Orihuela, Spain. Appearance: Golden colour with a white head. Aroma: Malt, grain, hops. Body: Light body, medium carbonation. Flavour: Malt, hops. Comments: Server ice cold with barely any taste, gains more flavour as it warms, which isn't good. Without any flavour it goes down easy as a thirst quencher, with flavour it is a bit harder to drink since you can actually taste it.
3.1 Goes down like wet sand, preferred cold, otherwise goes down like a tin of warn urine 4/10 good white head (cheers Dave)
2.0 Can. Light gold + white head. Watery, bit malty, bit paper, bit soapy, bit weird eggy / sulphur (?), stale grainy, light sweetness. No.
1.9 I have decided to try some of the worst lagers I have experienced again to be able to tick them off on here and get them out of the way. There is clearly something wrong with me. Anyway… 440ml can. Clear golden and overtly gassy. I struggled to get an aroma, so much so that I got too close and some of it went up my nose. It cleared my nostrils out through and I got a faint air of sweet malt and a hint of citrus. Tastes of light malt, a hint of sweetness, and then a light bitterness which surprisingly holds its form considering. Watery but not as bad as Sol. It’s a bad lager but strangely I was expecting worse. Its not too bad ice cold on a summer day.
2.7 Holding notes is had often on tap and cans. Not properly reviewed... blah blah blah
1.1 Blaskig med inslag av piss
1.8 Prou mala
2.4 To be honest this beer has some good things and some very bad.. First of all the aroma is very moderate and you smell a strong metal in there.. Secondly the taste has this metallic taste that you smell before.. Perhaps this beer has the most "metallic" taste i have ever try.. The good things is the beer is very refreshing and very light (4% ABV) and you drink it very fast specially when you are thirsty. The finish and general the beer has strong malty taste and that is also good for me.. Overall is one of the worst lager beers i have try.. I drink it when its cold but i'm afraid to drink this beer little more warmer..
1.8 500ml can (random shop, Edinburgh). Straight from can. Ice cold and as neutral and skillful as English referees at FA cup. Happens.
1.8 Not the best beer, but don't think it fully deserves the bad rep it gets. Easy to drink and refreshing.
2.0 Draught at some pub. Clear golden colour with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts, light chalky, citrus and grasses. Taste is light sweet. Light to medium bodied. Slightly drying finish. Ordinary macro swill.
3.8 Lovely light taste best served ice cold. An excellent lager to drink in the summer
1.4 Bottle, from historic notes. Source not recorded. Poured pale gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma of wet straw, light citrus, malt and hop. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, watery texture, above average carbonation. Not enjoyable.
0.5 Cats piss In a tin. Avoid like the plague.
2.5 On tap at The Irish House Bar (Castlebar, Ireland). Limpid, carbonated golden body with an average, white foamy head. Thin malty/hoppy aroma with herbal and bready hints. its light taste carries bready notes and ends with a short bitter/herbal finish. Boring.
