Carlsberg 47

Carlsberg 47

3.3 Clear amber color with off- white creamy head. Aroma is little metallic, but mostly caramel. Taste is well balanced between sweetness and bitterness, probably more sweet. Very nice.
3.0 Quite flavorful, this has a lot of caramel malt and some sweetness that is evident in both the aroma and body. But it never becomes quite too much sweetness, which is nice.
1.6 ´duft. svag duft. lidt citrus ellers meget Li gyldig. smag: maltet citrus lidt korainader. frø lidt malt. krydret svagt i eftersmag
3.0 Draught at cafe. Clear dark, amber reddish colour with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, dark fruits, toasted notes and nuts. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity with nuts and bread notes. An okay bock in the usual, safe Carlsberg style. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.2 Øllen har en meget flot skum og en gylden farve, som gør øllen meget indbydende. Selve øllen har en karamel og frugtig smag, som afrundes med en bitter eftersmag.
2.8 Caramel, fruity (a bit banana) and toasty aroma. Golden color, clear, beautiful white head. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium body, average carbonation.
2.3 Rated from backlog. Pour brown with a large white foamy head. Aroma has slight caramel, and is dominantly pretty malty. Taste is overall pretty bitter, and isn’t that well balanced imo. Plenty of co2, with a somewhat medium body.
3.0 Enjoyed a can of this beer in Copenhagen. The beer had a darker, rich amber color with a good-sized foamy white head with average retention, and modest cling and lacing. The aroma had some barley and caramel malt notes, but also a sour grainy and earthy hops blend. It was more strongly bitter and grainy beer with a slight sour yeast and malt effect. The beer was fairly full and wet in the mouth with a slight drying effect and average carbonation.
3.4 1847 - Carlsberg’s foundation. In 1972, that year where Carlsberg celebrates 125 years, was 47 brewed the first time. It was originally an anniversary bock, which later became a regular brew for Christmas. Carlsberg has repeatedly discussed the idea of taking it out of production - may it never happen, for it is in my opinion one of the best the Danes could taste - at least if we only focus on the biggest breweries in Denmark. 47 have a little foam, delicate aroma of caramel and hops without any parts being exaggerated. Deep and rich flavor of caramel malt, a little indefinable fruit and a comfortable hoppy bitterness. The many percentages in 47 can be felt as a slight tingling in the mouth but its sweetness has finally taken over and leave a good and chunky overall impression. It is certainly a very real type bock, without too much fuss, but which satisfies my big bock-heart. I could easily desire a little more ferocity in a bock, but conversely, we have here a faithful bock as always live up to expectations. It is also commendable.
3.2 Aromat jakby owocowy, w smaku delikatnie palone, karmel. Kolor czerwony. W sumie kolejny raz jestem miło zaskoczony produktem Carlsberga. Dobre.
2.6 bottle @ DTU s-huset: Pours claer dark amber with powerful white creamy head and good lacing. aroma/taste: bread, biscuit, caramel toffee and fruity notes. palette: medium carbonation, medium body, notable caramel sweetness, low to medium bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: decent seasonal
2.2 Medium beige head. Opaque brown body with carbonation. Syrupy spicy caramel aroma with perfumy rye crisp bread notes. Dry earthy spicy taste with intense herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry-sweet spicy intensely herbal aftertaste with teak and spruce notes, as well as some apple. Basically undrinkably weird. (0.5l can from 7-Eleven, Copenhagen.)
2.5 Clear dark amber, frothy offwhite head. Sweet, malty and hoppy aroma. Sweetish, bitter flavour with caramel. Rough, alcoholic finish. Can’t believe I used to chug this at Christmas, but now I know where the headache came from...
2.9 Copperish amber colored, low quite dissipating white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, candied fruit. Taste is medium sweet caramel, malt and again candied fruits, apples and pears. Some low bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied.
2.9 Copenhagen 14/9 2014. 50 cl can from DøgnNetto. Pours copper with modest white head. Heavy aroma with malts, and metallic notes of alcohol. Soft mouthfeel. Heavy bock taste dominated by malts. The high alcohol content is very present. A nostalgic visit to youthful binges (and hangovers). Not a fantastic beer - but nostalgia will prevail.
2.4 0.5 can. Clear, copper color and a small, cream-colored head. Aroma of malts, syrup, some caramel, and delicate alcohol. Taste is sweet and also malty, no surprise here; however, the alcohol is quite easily detectable here. Light to medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and leaves quite a lot of alcoholic features. Overall a bad bock and a bad beer.
4.0 Re-discovered this very tasty Carlsberg product some years ago, just as the brewery was about to drop it from its Christmas special portfolio. Thankfully they didn’t and now it is available all year in Denmark so I don’t have to stock up around Christmas. Nice caramel color and aroma and a pleasant sweetness before the medium bitterness hops kicks in at the end of the Vieneese style brew. Good head and just the right fizziness as expected of the professionals at Carlsberg adds to the overall favourable impression of a stock beer that beats most of the micro-breweries in Denmark for sheer good taste and a hard act to follow if you care for another beer after the 47.
2.7 Can from Brugsen. Pours amber with an off-white head. Slightly roasted malts, caramel, notes of fruits, brown sugar. Soft carbonatiom. Light bittersweet finish.
1.9 thanks to duff for cracking open this can. rich hue of amber, minimal head; very boozy aroma; loads of grape sugar sweetness, industrial and not great
2.2 "sweetish nose, with a slightly bitter mouthfeel and taste, with some tight carbonation. not a great beer, but not horrible either. overall, not something i’d search out again."
3.0 02.08.2014. 0,5l Can. At Cabinn Aalborg, Denmark. Dark amber brown colour with white to off-white head. Aroma is dominated by malt. Strong with good alcohol strength. Good flavours of malt. Very little bitterness gives a beer that is a little heavy but its also nice to get the malt flavours abd bot only hops. I think this is s pretty good beer.
2.3 Yellowish head, some lacings, clear warm-amber body. Weak aroma. Pale alcoholic malts, maybe a tiny yellow apple. Taste; malts, grainy wort, some hops. Slicky oily stuff, but it has at least a finish with bitter, bread, rubber and bitter-alco. Alright sipper, not a quencher. [50cl can, abv7%, B@Rema1000 Middelfart, T@Fjelsted Skov Fyn DK]
3.3 Hay, roasty, floral, citrus, cough drop. Another beer that would have been better with a lower alcohol level.
2.0 Can. Pours a clear light bronze body with a small white head. Aroma is mild grainy tones, rye-ish sourness, straw and hints of caramel and faint wet paper. Taste is mild caramel, grains, burnt sugar and hints of sour-ish yeasty tones. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Not a very successful bock, even by industrial standards.
5.0 My favorite lager style beer. It has a good bitternes and long aftertaste. Comes in glass bottles around Christmas every year otherwise in half liter cans.
2.7 Can, 50cl. Pours amber with moderate off-white head. Caramel, roasted malt and grassy notes. Fruity sweet, malt, caramel and alcoholic. Thick and chewy. Lacks hobs and balance. Light-bodied. I missed some crisp refinement.
3.2 Can@home with Bolton. Fine two finger foam. Amber. Good carb. Nutty dusty hay. Some butterscotch. Mouthfell very round. Long strong alcoholic.
