1.5 Malt and sweet, not a whole lot to it. Very average but a staple at many events. Normally opt for something more interesting.
1.9 375ml bottle BB 6/1/17 Slight grainy aroma. Light straw color with OK head. Mild bitterness with thin finish and not much else. Another generic Macro lager. Ho hum.
0.6 Awful. What an embarrassment. This should never be representative of Australian Beer. skunky, soy sauce,
2.0 375ml bottle. Clear pale yellow piss colour with a thin white head. Aroma is a bit chemically but there’s a slightly sweet malty hop aroma there. Taste is much the same slightly sweet malts but with a chemical aftertaste left in the mouth. Watery feel. Average lager really, far from Australia’s "finest beer".
3.0 Bottle at the Brussels Beer Café, Jalan P Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light bitter hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a soft hop bitter, dry malt palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
2.1 Bottle sampled at Brussels Beer Café in KL center. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, light toffee, grain and light hops. Flavour is above light sweet and light bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
2.2 Very clear pale yellow with a thick, cream coloured head. Cheap malt and straw on the nose, very muted. Slight honey, dry malts, very slight floral hop bitterness. Reasonably creamy finish, well carbonated and dry.
1.9 From bottle into shaker. Pours clear gold with whispy white head, faint malt aroma. Taste is slightly sweet with soft bitterness in the finish.
2.8 En ikke alt for stor oplevelse. En meget almindelig pilsner der nu smager godt nok, men meget konsumagtig.
1.8 Had to try this on vacation in Australia since the bottle claimed to contain "Australia’s Finest" beer. Apparently Foster’s is just a decoy. Overall not bad for a typical lager.
2.4 On Holiday gold blond -colored body with a white head and with a malt hops aroma a hop sweet malt taste with a slight bitter finish
1.9 Sucked down a bunch of these at an event at the Australian embassy. Pours a clear gold, soft white head. Nose of cheap malt, bad honey, corn syrup, straw. Flavor is sickly sweet, cheap malt, corn syrup, a little metal. Slick finish. Bad.
2.2 This is what I drank when I believed the marketing and didn’t know what beer could taste like. That was 20 years ago between the ages of 18 -24. Just the same as most other mass produced Australian Lager. I often wonder if Fosters and Crown are the same product in different packaging so a premium can be charged for Crown. If you do have one, have it very, very cold and on a hot day where you are thirsty enough for anything to taste good. (i.e. take out of fridge and place in freezer, go mow the lawn for 30 minutes, then drink.) To my mind that is the only way you will appreciate it.
2.2 Bottle. A dull but inoffensive lager with grain, corn, lemon and vegetal characters across both nose and palate. Light to Mellon body, medium carbonation with a short, moderate intensity pithy hop finish.
2.2 Nothing special here, worse than average pale lager. Watery, musty, grainy. Give this on a pass.
1.9 On tap @ club central Hurstville. Sweet sweet nose. Small head. Little carbonation. Little lacing. Taste is full on bubblegum Sweetness followed by a little hops & then the usual CUB mixture of rubber, metals & vegetables in the finish. Funnily enough this tastes better than the bottled version. Overpriced, overhyped.
2.2 Clear golden, small white head. Sweet malt, cereal aroma. Light, watery and malty flavour. Sweet, sticky finish.
2.2 Bottle, 4.9%. Caramelly aroma. Clear golden colour. Small white head. Bready flavour, also caramelly. Not very bitter, but has a little paper in the finish.
2.0 Bottle. Pours clear golden with small white head. Sweetish aroma of malt and yeast. Sweetish malty and estery aroma with faint hoppy notes. Sweetish afteraste. Just drinkable.
2.6 semi-sweet slight malty aroma, mild taste is crisp & fresh, finish is dry & lightly bitter, overall an average unexciting mainstream drinkable lager
1.4 from the outside; it looks like something that was given as a gift from the beer gods, something one would save/hide money from their significant other in order to buy, like a kid saving 5c coins for the royal show or whatever. The truth is is that this beer is a gigantic piece of shit with an armani suit on. No discernible aroma, typical of aussie lagers, an over-carbed mouth and tastes of piss-weak POR hopping with a dry finish.
1.8 Nothing special. Slightly creamy texture. A bit sweet and fruity in the finish with light hop crispness.
1.8 Bottle at home. Poured a light golden with little to no head. Not really any aroma and very weak water taste. Not nice
0.9 The gold label tries to convey that this is a good quality beer, but don’t be fooled. Just more boring piss from Carlton breweries
2.8 37.5 cl bottle from Wellcome, in Hong Kong, 4.9%. Pale gold color, short white head. Lagery and hoppy in the nose. Aroma is focuses on bittering elements, with a noticeable amount of hops, then metallic and a bit soapy. Malts profile is under cover. Taste is bitter, crisp, dry bitter finish, watery texture. Actually this seems close to a pilsener, Quite clean.
3.1 Little to no aroma. Clear golden colour with good head. Little to no flavor and no aftertaste. Light body with little to no carbonation.
1.8 Flaske fra Gml. Strand øllager, i Kongens have juli-14: selv ikke den freske storbandmusikken fra scenen kan hjelpe denne. Ikke stol på bryggeriets selvskryt, dette er boring, boring and utterly boring.
1.8 Bottle. Clear, orange, frothy, white foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, average carbonation, & bitter finish.
2.2 From a 375 ml bottle in Tasmania. Pours a clear pale gold with an off white head. Aroma of corn bread. Run of the mill pale lager flavor. Crisp finish with a slight bitterness
