5.0im an avid corona/tecate drinker this is a smooth beer and its utterly underated! next to rollick rock plus i found a 12 pack! YES A 12 PACK FOR 6.99 AT MY LOCAL STORE!!!!
yeah beat that! i couldnt be happier! and rolling rock was 7.99 for a 12 pack
1.2$2.10 bottle from Parkurst Wine Shop @ Rainbow Hill. Pours ugly gold with a dusting of a head - looks flat and unappealing. Aroma is corn water, grasses, junk. Flavor is what you'd expect from a cheap lager: corn water, maybe some grasses, old malt. Very flat, low carbonation. Junk.
4.5First off, my ratings is simply because I like it! I don't taste corn, big plus in my book. I a little biased on my opinion of Carta Blana as it's the first Mexican beer I ever drank, I lived in Monterrey MX for 3 months. Love the colour, no comment about looks or smell, it's a beer I really like, that being said, one will like it or one won't. No comment about the head or lacing, it's not what I care about.
3.5Not bad. About on par with corona. Refreshing lager about what you,d expect. Good price point.
3.8It's Cinco De Mayo so I picked up a sampler pack. Also going with the lime with the beers today. Crushable sitting on the porch on a 80 degree day. I don't know I like it, not the best but for what it is it's pretty good.
2.2The aroma is super light maybe a bit stale. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin white head. Taste is of slight spice, maybe a hint of licorice. Easy to drink, but overall just okay.
2.5Gold color and good carbonation, nice bitterness, a surprising good beer and really cheap
3.712 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 2/2/2017. Pours fairly crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light pepper/toast, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, corn, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light pepper/toast, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light pepper/toast, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt, corn, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/clean, bready/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a nice Mexican pale lager! All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt, corn, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the ABV. Clean pils/corn flavors with a nice level of hop presence for the style. A nicely enjoyable offering. Far exceeded my expectations, a very well made example of the style.
0.9Mala. Sabe muy aguada y a cartón. No se las recomiendo para nada, a menos que haya mucha sed y sea la única cerveza disponible.
3.033cl fles. Helder goudgeel kleur, fijne witte schuimkraag. De geur van gras en mout. Smaak is zoet, mout, fruit en gras. Licht Lichaam, Veel koolzuur
1.5Quart bottle (yes, you read that correctly), shared with my Son-in-Law who likes Mexican Lagers. Drank on 11th Feb 2017 at his new place in Southern California. I preferred it cold as you couldn’t smell or taste anything: as it warmed the corn/grain aromas and flavours began to arrive. Of all the cheap Mexican beers I have tried so far this is most likely the worst. Looked fine of course, clean, clear and golden with a snow white head (which faded a bit too quickly).
2.6Aroma: Corn,
Appearance: golden, clear, minimal head, white foam, head disappears quickly
Taste: cron, light sweetness, lightly bitter, little citrus
Palate: light body, thin feel, lively, refreshing
2.3Litro in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Golden pale lager, creamy white foam. A bit cleaner, richer taste than the average lager here. A touch of hop crispness, less corn flavor. I?d tend to aim for this when available, over the other cheap lager options.
Cuerpo cuerpo, media a alta carbonatación.
RESUMEN: Cerveza donde predominan los adjuntos.
0.8As bad as you think it will be. Made slightly better with the addition of lime.
2.1Pour is a clear still blonde, tiny head that leaves a little lacing. Smell is corny and salty, kinda smells like the ocean? Taste is like the ocean too, salt, funky, bitter, and weird salty after taste
1.9Originally rated on 7/12/08. Standard mexican beer, in fact a little below average. Pours a decent looking yellow body with a thin white head and little carbonation. Aroma was of old corn mash. flavor was similar but also had a metallic twinge to it. not worth $8 bucks a sixer.
2.81/16/16 Chicago (32 oz. Bottle poured into standard pint glass). Golden pour, minimal white head and carbonation. Faint aroma of malt. Extremely light taste and texture, very smooth going down, like water. Corn and a hint of malt. Decent beer for those enjoying a lighter beer.
0.512 ounce bottle. Pours a pale gold color with a disappearing white head. Grainy metallic aroma. Insipid sweet corn flavor leaves much to be desired. Quite honestly one of the worst beers ever.
1.8Was pretty underwhelming for a Mexican lager but then again most of them are. Perhaps I got a bad bottle. Purchased from Friar Tuck Beverage as part of a "create your own six pack" set.
2.1Made from the finest barely and hops fed to Mexico’s best horse barn. 32oz bottle in Seattle. Thin, little head. Tastes of corn and bad decisions. Yuck.
1.7Bottle. Pale yellow color with a thin white head. No aroma of note. Sweet corn flavor.
1.4Clear carbonated grain like tea. Not offensive but nothing worth drinking, not drain pour like the ate. No metal but nothing to it.
3.0Bottle poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of bread and a hint of earthiness with a smooth finish.
2.0A golden lager with a thick frothy white head. In aroma, rather light adjunct corn malt with light sulfur notes, bad. In mouth, a light sweet corn adjunct malt with light grassy hops, watery and boring. Can from Carulla supermarket, Barranquilla, 1500COP (0.75 cents).
3.0Can - Sweet corn and some sweet grain. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet light corn and grain notes. Light and boring.
2.5rated based on notes taken 11 aug 2012 -- not many notes taken but it was a pretty good cerveza.
3.5Hey, a Mexican version of Coors. Not horrible but completely average. good with food.
