3.1 Bottle, hazy amber with a medium sized head and nice lacing. Very acidic on the mouthfeel like most of their beers: vinegar, lactic bugs, oak, mustard, and cherries. Too sharp for me.
4.0 Bottle. Sang Rouge, 2013. Color: Dark reddish brown, dense mocha head that seems to last forever. Aroma: Tart red fruit, malty, vinuous. Taste: Moderate to above moderate tart and sweet, dark red fruit, oak, tannins, some farmyard funk, hints of red wine. Complex and very well balanced. Just over medium body, low carbonation. Long lasting vinuous and fruity, moderate tart finish. Very nice.

3.7 2013 project labeled as Sang Rouge. Pours a deep reddish brown from the bottle with thin ring of bubbly tan head that leave light lace. Aroma of vinous oak, big dark fruit and berry notes with a touch of caramel and lots of acidity. Taste is huge again on the acidity, musty oak, a sweet maltiness, but a dry finish. Held up pretty well, but Cascade beers, as always, are almost too sour.
4.0 Tap. Dark amber color. Oak, a hint of caramel and red berries in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with caramel, red berries, an upcoming sourness, oak, vanilla. Complex.
3.8 Keg at Craft Beer Co, Islington. Rich vinous aroma. Glossy dark ruby. Creamy off-white head. Light-medium sour. Vinous... again. Mesium bodied. Creamy. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Glossy velvety sipper.

3.9 Poured from the tap. Amber red with virtually no head. Light cherry, balanced between tart and sweet, mild oak wood. Fairly easy drinking for a sour, definitely still a sipper, but could have more than one.

3.6 750 ml bottle to plastic cup. The label says this is Sang Rouge. Looks solid; a translucent amberish brown with a bit of fine sediment and lighter beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes like a big oaky Flanders with notes of raspberry and cherry. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and moderately acidic. An enjoyable sipper.
4.1 750ml corked and caged bottle from the lcbo. Pours a very dark red, almost brown, with a medium beige head. Aroma is bold cherries, balsamic vinegar loads of oak and sour vinous cherry notes. Soft carb, vinous mouth feel, full and very sour. Huge oak notes, lots of red wine notes, very tart, vinegar, cherries..... One of the best in the style I've ever had. Not for the faint of heart. A true acquired taste.

4.4 Keg, Hanging Bat. Stands to applaud. Technically flawless BS sour. Pours like a good merlot. Aroma is complex smoke. Herbs and vinegar (good red wine vinegar). Tart but astonishingly well balanced. Red fruit, oak, aged balsamic taste. Just bloody great.
4.2 Draft at Armsby Abbey. Pours ruby red with a white head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Nice wood and fruit notes on the nose and tongue. Fairly tart on the finish. Pretty nice.
