Caulier Bon Secours Tradition
Formerly known as Bon Secours Blonde.
Cette blonde forte, refermentée en bouteille et non pasteurisée, est le fleuron de la Brasserie Caulier. Brassée depuis 20 ans avec notre propre souche de levure, cette bière est très peu sucrée. Elle dégage des arômes de malt, de houblon, de sucre candi et d’agrumes. Sa mousse est abondante et consistante. En bouche, la Bon Secours Tradition se révèle à la fois puissante, rafraîchissante et avec une légère amertume.

Bottle that a friend gave me. Served at home in a tulip glass.
Hazy dark yellow color, small head and retention, though there's a ring around the glass all the time.
Aroma of apples, plums, candied fruits, some cinnamon and spices.
Medium body, fhin texture, normal carbonation. Fruity finish.
Taste follows the aroma.

Fat. Disig gulorange öl med ett vitt skum. Smak och doft av honung, fruktighet, malt, lätta jästtoner och torkad frukt.
Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Murky amber/brown body with a beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of big, red apple and and brown sugar. Flavour of cinnamon and prune. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Lively fizz. Sweet but with a sharp edge that takes over.
Unclear, yellow-golden colored, medium+ white frothy head. Spicy Belgian yeasty character, brewing sugar, some malt, light caramel, spicy and fruity, light fruity tartness, medium sweet, light+ bitterness. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, bit oily.
Hazy pale with a frothy head.
Smell of manure and grains.
Citric taste with almost no carbonation.
On tap at 1420 Copenhagen. (vintage 2012) Hazy orange with a minimal head. Sweet with peach, dried fruit, some malt and grass. The carbonation was almost flat. A decent one.
Aroma: mout, brood, wat gistkarakter, licht hoppig.
Uitzicht: Licht troebel blond bier met stevige witte schuimkraag.
Smaak: licht bitter, brood, groene appel, licht alcoholisch. Veel koolzuurprikkel.
Mondgevoel: licht toch pittig door mooi koolzuur.
Afdronk: kort,licht bitter.
Heb zelf een beugelfles gekocht in een bierspeciaalzaak. Toen ik de fles opende met een luidde pop, spoot het schuim eruit. Na dit alles het biertje ingeschonken en moet zeggen dat hij heerlijk wegdrinkt. Goede smaak, troebele kleur en lekkere nasmaak.
Belle robe blonde avec une odeur legere masi agreable. Gout classique avec peu damerume et un gout de pain agreable.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige en kruidige geur. De smaak is fruitig en licht bitter.

Bottle @ random restaurant in Bruxelles. Hazy dark golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 120418
Gekocht in de AD Delhaize van Lebbeke op 27/05/2016. En geproefd op 30-10-2016. Bon Secours Blonde opend met een ferme 'plop' en is een helder en blond biertje dat een grote hoeveelheid wit schuim geeft bij het uitgieten, dit bestaat voornamelijk uit grove bellen en zakt vlug neer tot een laagje van ongeveer 3 mm. Het blijft wel stevig aan het bierglas kleven. Weinig pareling te zien met fijne belletjes. Het eerste aroma bij het openen van de fles komt nogal duf over maar in het glas is het vooral karamel moutig. De eerste smaak is zoet met iets kruidigs en daarna komt het bittere. In de mond is Bon Secours Blonde medium volmondig, niet droog en bezit het een volmondige textuur. Normaal kwa koolzuurgas. Een tamelijk harmonieus biertje. De nasmaak vloeit uit en je proeft er de alcohol (8% alc.vol.) in, ook het kruidige zit erin en daarna komt er een lange bittere toets. De alcohol blijft lekker lang hangen. Bottle 33cl. Pours gold, with a big vanishing white head. Honey, acidic, light citrus. Mid sweet finish. Not 'bad', but nothing special either
Murky gold with solid head. A: Belgian hops, sulfur, banana, citrus, cheese. Nice. T: slightly astringent first sip, marsipan, citrus. Remains astringent. Finish is malty, yeast, cheese. Ok.
33 cl swing top bottle. Hazy yellow color with a big candid white head, persistent, lacing. Smells punchy, floral, citrusy. Aroma is citrus, zest, lemon, muddy yeast, white bread, spices (lavender, flowers, linden, lemongrass, pink pepper). Taste light sweet and mild tart, light bitterness in the finish.
Average carbonation, medium body, clean dry finish. A bit warming but alcohol is well hidden.
Light golden, slightly hazy, with a decent white head. Muggy, sour aroma. Savory taste, grain, decent bitterness. Lacking some complexity, though.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is peppery yeast, fruits, spicy notes, malt, touch of sugar, banana and ripe citrus. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Ordinary but acceptable Belgian Blonde.
Bottle 33 cl, small gusher. Pours a pale, hazy yellow to golden with a medium white head and an aroma of lime, banana, yeast, sweet malts, spices, fresh apples, fresh fruit, maple syrup and mandarin. The taste is medium sweet with a high carbonation and a medium lasting hoppy and spicey finish. Not bad.
Uit fles gegoten gekregen. Veel schuim, waar men moeite mee had met uitschenken. Smaakt goed, niet al te sterk van smaak overigens, beetje overhellend naar witbier.
Hazy and pale blond with white head. Aroma malty and very fruity, yellow fruits, fresh. Taste medium sweet and light bitter. Strong carbonation. Nice and tasty blond, quite strong in ABV, but nothing really special.

Bottle of 2L (yes, that was worth it for what I remembered), in a Trappist glass; from the fridge.
Well. It’s a nice blond beer. But the over malty taste is too strong, giving the beer a "cheap" aroma and aftertaste. The colour is really beautiful : strong blond with a nice white head.

Insane carbonation ! Never thought I’d complain about too much head, but that’s where I’m at. I don’t know, something about the taste is just off here, a very cheap aftertaste. I’d avoid.
Some nice floral and grape notes, also basement, medium woody character, medium to strong honey, some biscuit and berries in the background. Pretty cloudy yellow to golden color, big yeast sediment and floaters. Medium non-lasting creamy white head. Big honey kick, pretty sweet with small amount of bitterness in the end. Some woody notes, medium grapes and yeast esters, light citrus. Medium to full body, creamy, little bit oily, soft, almost flat carbonation. Usually I’m not a big fan of Belgian blond ales, but this one is a pleasant surprise.
Cloudy light yellow. Blond ale, straw corn, lightly sweet, a little sour and with a dry finish
Robe blonde, fine mousse. Nez fruitée sur les agrumes et le houblon. Bouche tendue et acidulée, fine bulle et finale amère. Un bière de soif.
