3.3 Good balance of malt, bitterness, hops and carbonation for such a low alcohol beer!
3.5 Aroma of caramel and something sort of salted liquorice-like. Earthy notes as well. Taste is similar with some mild smoky aroma and pine. I don’t know bitters very well, but this stuff is incredible for 3.5 %.
3.2 Bottle, Marks and Spencer, Enderby. Hazy brown with an off white head. Woody and nutty black tea with earthy roast malts. Dusty cocoa with a leafy hedgerow and citrus bitterness. Decent session bitter.
2.8 From bottle. Aroma of light hops and light malt. Pours with so much head, too much. Hazy red amber with lasting off-white head. Taste is light sweet and moderate bitter. Light body, watery feel and bitter finish.
3.1 Bottle picked up from Watford M&S. A mostly clear copper brown coloured pour with a loose off white head. Quiet a bit of yeast at the bottle. Aroma is sweet nutty toffee malts, brown sugars, copper, earthy hop, some jammy fruits. Flavour is composed of rough grainstore malts, hint of smoke, semi sweet toffee, Firm earthy piney bitter. A little biting yeast in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, lowish carboantion, semi drying, hint of chalky.
3.3 Zapach średnio intensywny, słód, karmel, toffi, chleb, suszone owoce. Kolor bursztynowy, klarowne. Piana niska, drobna, średnio trwała, zdobi szkło. W smaku słodkie, średnia pełnia, słód, kwiaty, karmel, orzechy. Goryczka niska, wysycenie niskie.
3.0 Bottle from Beer52 mail order box. Minimal head and as the bottle says it’s unfiltered. Nice clean aroma to it after pouring. Very hoppy and although only 3.5% it tastes like a much stronger beer. Very enjoyable.
3.5 Cask @Tree Folk’s (Rome). Pours amber with a medium creamy white head. Aroma is malty, biscuits, nuts, light roasted notes, apple, grassy hops. Flavour is delicate like a traditional english bitter, medium malty with a little bitter end. Light body, soft carbonation. Nice one.
3.2 Bottle at home, 25/06/16. Bought at M&S. Attractive aroma - sweet caramel with a floral hint - on further appraisal I can pick up more of the hops. Dark toffee in appearance and hazy. An off white head which has staying power to it. Medium bodied and smooth - the hops come through for a bitte taste that surprised me due the sweet aroma. More interesting than your average bitter.

3.4 Cask. Aroma has mildly berry scent. Pours copper with thin lace top. A pleasant balanced bitter with some malt biscuit and hop fruit in each swallow. I suspect the art of making a tasty low abv bitter is becoming rarer since the craft revolution. But one could share an evening with this beer and still talk sense (assuming of course that gibberish was not your native tongue).
3.2 Cask at Draft House Seething, London. Pours chestnut with off white head. Nice dry session bitter. Pleasant enough.
3.0 50cl bottle from Beer52.com. A dull amber pour with a tight cream head; malty aroma with a woody note; clean grassy bitterness to start with a touch of citrus; and a lingering bitterness to end. A straightforward bitter.
2.4 I had this from a Beer 52 gift box, poured at home. Tasted very lightly carbonated, almost still, slightly watery. No real head on it, nice colour, pretty easy to drink. Wouldn’t be a go to beer, but nice as a change of pace.
3.1 Bottle from M&S Stratford and drunk at home. Clear amber brown colour lasting beige head. Some hop on the aroma, some malt, a touch of earthy hop. Decent enough drinkable session brown bitter. Man I’ve missed drinking these beers. Decent dryness on the finish.
3.2 500ml bottle from Ica Medborgarplatsen. Clear amber with a compact, medium size, white head, leaving good lacing. Bread and caramel aroma. Medium carbonated, light and soft mouthfeel. Bitter floral and grassy taste, with sweet caramel and bread.
3.3 500 ml bottle from coop supermarket. Hazy golden amber with off white head. Zest, resin and earthy hops with a little burnt caramel. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation. A little watery.
3.1 *Bottle from Hemköp in Stockholm. Nice Bitter-typical beginning. Not too much depth but a round and refreshing beer. Could be a bit dryer, but round and refreshing aroma with nice hops and a nice malty Bitter-Ale-typical ending. Refreshing.
3.0 Bottle 50cl from ICA. Clear amber with a yellow-tinted head. Hoppy and some malts. Citrus, bread, quite bitter, some maltyness. Medium/light body, medium carbonation, bitter finish.
2.4 Pours clear reddish brown with a thin white head. Malty and light toasted flavour. Cheap beer taste. Really not the best.
3.1 50cl bottle from Coop Konsum, Sälen. Pours clear deep amber to copper coloured with an off-white head. Malty and rather hoppy aroma with pine, caramel, dark berries and some earthy notes. Moderate to medium sweet and quite flavourful taking the low alcohol content into concideration. Quite pleasant with a nice bitterness too. Certainly a fairly decent brew.
2.6 500ml bottle. Hazy amber body with a medium white head. Caramel and fruit but mostly just bitter.
2.8 Reddish gold with a fluffy off white head. Caramel aroma, some fruitiness. Taste is mostly the caramel underneath with slightly chemical note and some slightly overpowering bitterness. Not a favourite
3.7 Cask draught at the Albion Arms, Ampthill. Fresh brown bread aroma. Clear reddish brown beer, low carbonation, thin fine foam that laces, in good condition. Somewhat earthy, herbal bitterness, which is pleasantly persistent. Surprisingly, there is some silkiness in the mouth.
3.4 Aroma: grape, bitter, bread, roasty. Appearance: amber, brown, clear, minimal head, white foam. Taste: very bitter, light sweetness. Palate: medium body, creamy, flat, long bitter aftertaste.
2.6 Beautiful frothy bitter ale with fresh aromas of dried fruits like raisins, dates and prunes. The taste is partial, caramel malt with a little hint of the aforementioned fruits but fairly quickly creating a hoppy bitter taste of citrus fruit as the main theme. Light floral hops completes the aftertaste for a long time. Actually, it’s a really nice bitter, though its overall impression most reminiscent of a pale ale or perhaps an IPA. Before hoppy bitterness entry has the fine malt notes, but you must be quick to intercept them!
3.5 Cask in the Chanter. Pours clear copper, nose is fruity, toffee, taste is sweet, toffee, dry.
Bra 3,5:a ---- Soberness not garanteed!
3.1 How: Bottle Appearance: clear amber, white head. Aroma; plums, raisins, citrus, caramell. Palate: Light body, soft carbonation.
3.7 Fourth beer of a random tasting evening I held with myself on 5th Dec 2014. 500ml bottle: BBD 10 days away when poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Nice looking brew, clear chestnut reddy brown with a full beige topping. Fruity and also semi-malty nose, with a flavouring on the same lines. Hedgerow berries and some sweetness from the malts, the beer grows on you as it warms and settles in the glass. Feels stronger than 3.5% ABV and is full bodied, especially for such a relatively weak alcohol beer. Really impressed with the beer, flavoursome and interesting.
