@ Iberico y Vino
A: Golden / Dorado.
T/S: Hops, malt, fruity / Lupulo, malta, afrutado.
3.8Hoppy, citrus aroma. Cloudy appearance, small white head. Citrua=s and hop up front with bitter but balanced finish.
2.8500ml bottle into glass (as Golden Crafted Ale). Fruity hoppy/sweet malt nose. Hazy golden beer with towering fluffy white head. Many fine bubbles. Full of pine bitterness that leads to a tonic water/bitter lemon finish. Quite clean and refreshing.
1.6Cask at the Beer Cellar, Exeter. Far too much dry hops completely masking any other flavour.
Notable
3.12x500ml bottles as "Golden Crafted Ale" bb09/2016, over 3 months period, danke Dirk. Richly expressive, unidimensionally tropical nose of mango&peach mousse, papaya, lemon curd: definitely merging into APA Citra territory here. The juiciness in taste is curbed by an unbalanced piney and lingering grapefruit-pithy bitterness running underneath, overplaying the delicate UK malt base. This golden ale wants to a zippy APA at all cost and you can taste and feel both the aspiration and the conflict in that in mouthfeel.
3.6Nice IPA close to being a British bitter. Drunk at room temperature from pint glass; 500ml bottle bought from Fusion supermarket in Hong Kong. Appearance is cloudy yellow-brown with big soapy coloured head. Aroma of lemons and coriander, very hoppy. Very dry on the palate, but nice softness with low carbonation. Tastes of walnut, grass. Lacks nuance but very drinkable.
3.5On tap at CASC, Aberdeen. Murky gold, nice balance, hop forward. Grapefruit, pine, a lttle apricot.
3.1Bottle sampled at Björn, thanks.
Small beige head. Light clowdy golden color. Big fresh flowery hoppiness. Sparkling taste with fresh pale maltiness and a tuch of metal. Lasting bitterness.
4.2500ml bottle. Best Before 24.09.2015. Slightly opaque pale gold colour with a towering, frothy, ice cream like head which refused to reduce, wonderful lacing. Assertive aroma pine forest, grapefruit, passionfruit with a malt undertone. Beautiful balance of medium sweetness and a shade more bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth texture, lively carbonation and a long bitter resin finish. Very enjoyable but left me feeling very gassy. 8.
3.3500ml bottle from cornelius. Pours hazy golden orange, thin white head. Hoppy orange citrus aromas, light yeast. Taste has sherbet, more orange, light granulated sugar sweetness. Bitter finish.
3.7Bottle from Pulkovsky Universam , St Petetsburg. Lovely beer. Aroma of hops, yeast and citrus. Medium carbonation, citrus, wood notes, very bitter hoppy finish. Packed with flavour for such a low ABV. A lovely cross between an English bitter and an American Pale Ale. Would make a great summer session beer.
3.4good beer in his style. pleasant bitterness, good flavor milking its density sufficiently full of flavor.
3.4Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy orange body with lots of yeast flecks floating around. Thin white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of watermelon, grapefruit and floral hops. Flavour of grass, earth, lime and a light, bitter finish. Thin body with an oily texture. Weak fizz. A solid Golden Ale.
2.1Pours lightly hazy gold with a small, frothy and bubbly white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is biscuit malt, light earthy and spicy, minty hops and faint pear esters. Flavor is balanced malt and hops, medium bitterness and a crisp, dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
not very good if you ask me
3.9Pours a opaque light golden with a biggish white head. Has a lovely floral nose with some zesty citrus fruit and honeyed notes. Flavour wise, it’s light and fruity with lots of sweet and sour citrus (mandarin, lemon, grapefruit) with sweet bready and grassy malt in the background, which is followed by a very assertive, dry, slightly salty hop bitterness. Has a medium body and lively carbonation. For something 4.2%, this is a really heavy hitter. The bitterness may be too much for some but if you’re a hop head, you should be well satisfied. A very nice golden ale indeed.
3.8Bomber bottle. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a frothy, thick white head. Moderate carbonation. Sweet, fruity aroma. Taste is hoppy, some grass, warming to a resin/citrus like bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. Finish is grassy bitterness, with some fruity sweet tones. Very interesting, not like any other golden/blonde ale I’ve ever had. I like it, but not sure it’s classed correctly... more like a hoppy extra special bitter, or an English IPA.
3.5Cloudy golden appearance with light particles and a large frothy/creamy lasting like ice-cream head, very fruity aroma very tropical with massive grass notes, flavour was also fruity, hoppy and bitter, lightly acidic on on the tongue leaving a bitter aftertaste, loved it very fruity 6 months ago I would have rated very differently. Thanks Hitchy good choice, swing 92.
3.7Bottle from Booth’s, Keswick and Glug, Newcastle. Hazy yellow-golden coloured with citrus and tropical fruit flavours followed by a malty, toffee and bitter grapefruit finish.
3.7500ml bottle as Celt Golden Crafted Ale from Tasty Life, Xiamen. Pours golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma with citrus. Very bitter finish.
2.1Very hoppy aroma. Quite a frothy head. Very hoppy taste. Cloudy and golden. Quite a fruity and hoppy aftertaste.
3.4Cask at Draft House. Pale yellow, slight haze, small white head. Aroma has lots of lemon tart. Body is medium, smooth. Taste is earthy, medium bitterness. Decent. Barman loved it and I can see why - very appetising aroma.
3.9Cask at the Euston Tap - London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a tight, frothy white head. The nose has citrusy hops, hay, pale malts. Light sweet flavor with nicely balanced citrusy hops, some tangerine, melon, lemon rind. Light bodied with ine carbonation; great condition. Well balanced on the finish with more lemon and tangerine, mild bitter hay and grass, pale bread sweetness. Great stuff.
2.8It pours golden with a small white head. It has the smell of grass, a bit of lemon, and floral elements. It has the taste of floral elements with grassy elements. It does have a bit of a strange tinge on the palate, but otherwise is good.
3.0500ml bottle: BBD 21 Dec 14.Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 5 Sep 14. Slight haze to the golden body, full, deep white head. Sour citrus flavours in both the nose and taste. Mild yeastiness and piney hops with those citrus flavours in the mouth. Decent, but a bit too citrusy for me.
3.40,5L bottle, BB 02.12.2014. Pours hazy golden with off white head. The small head remains. Aroma is citrus, tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, malt. Flavor is sweet, tropical fruits, mango, citrus, malt, and caramel. Finish is grapefruit bitter. Overall: nice hoppy brew.
3.8hay, floral, grass, dough,
lovely golden summer beer clean bitter hoppy after taste just a little too bitter for my taste in all honesty but a lovely clean dry beer
3.9quite liked this beer it got a bit of a ipa taste to it with a good amount of hops and a nice smooth bitter finish that leaves you wanting more
3.0The appearance has a hazy orangeish golden color with a small white head that fades quickly to a ring. The aroma blends earthy hops with light malts, and the taste is slightly bitter, mildly sour, and a touch umami; the mouthfeel fuses a slick texture, medium body, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish with an earthy hop flavor.
