Cerveja Super Bock Stout

Cerveja Super Bock Stout

Bottle: Filtered

Ingredients: Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate malt; Sugar; Colour -E150C; Hops.

Launched in 2003.

"Super Bock Stout is a black beer, produced from special malts which give it a distinct flavour and aroma, and a long-lasting creamy head. It differs from the other black beers on the market because it is richer in extract, more full-bodied and with a more complex (almost fruity), not-so-roasted taste and aroma."

3.4 Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark black, nice head. Fine malty aroma. Starts malty, stouty, modest dry. Mild woody notes. Finish well balanced, dry-malty. Nice!
3.4 It's a pleasant surprise, did not expect something extraordinary from a large-scale brewery! The deep black and the beige foam looks elegant, chocolate and coffee dominate the aroma. Small hints of caramel, nuts, palate is slightly oily.
3.5 the aroma: caramel and cereal, hints of brown bread, toffee, toast, nuts and sunflower seeds... the taste: caramel and cereal, notes of toast, toffee, black bread, robust and nuts... the aftertaste: bitter, dry...
3.3 bottle from a Portuguese shop. Deep black with a tall beige head. Malty-sweet with lots fo chocolate and coffee. Smooth palate. Very nicely balanced.
2.8 Thin brown head left a fizzy cover on a dark brown still body. Malt & coffee aroma. Medium to thin bodied, effervescent & sticky on the back. Sweet sugary tastes with berries, Coca-Cola, malt, syrup & jam. Poor.
2.5 Pours oily black with a thick tan head. Aroma of toasted malt, coffee. Taste has chocolate, roasted malt, some caramel. Palate has a watery finish related to the taste, lingering malt on the nose. Eh.
3.0 Pours black with two finger, tan head. Aroma is light cocoa and roast. Taste is light chocolate and thin caramel, moving to roast. Finish is light chocolate and roast.
2.7 Aroma : Roasted dark sweet malts, hints of chocolate, liquorice & red fruit and some metallic iron. Taste : Pretty much as aroma. It is also a lightly sweet all through, with very little bittering offset. Although it's called a stout the thin body defo makes it a schwarbier/black lager
3.6 Clean crisp light drinkability is high. Roasty, but not too much, very true to style. D&S dresden
3.3 Bottled in Lisbon and Dark pour. Malts and a little bit of creaminess. Not too bad overall
Consigliata

2.8 Bottle of 25cl, in a Tulip glass; from the fridge. An OK Tier stout. Not the best, not the worst either.
2.8 Having one at the Villa in Luxembourg-Beggen. Very dark with a frothy but fast dissipating beige head. Smell of rum and cream. Slight bitterness in taste but rather watery. Therefore refreshing. Low carbonation.
3.3 not a bad little session stout of sorts. caramel smooth a little creamy and just on the thin side with some light ash and cocoa. sense of metal.
2.2 03-08-19 // bottle at a Tasquinhain mainz. Clearish dark brown. Brown head. Sweet stouty, mild coffee and roasted malts.
3.1 Bottle @ apartment in Funchal. Black body with a nice lacing beige head. Both aroma and taste has mild, smooth roasted dark malt with a hint of coffee. A decent, straight forward black lager that feels like a nice thirst quencher served cold.
3.0 23Apr2019 Sweet, dark roast malts, chocolate, cacao, coffee. Hazy, very dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More bitter, dark roast malts, coffee, chocolate, cacao, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Not as bad as anticipated. Bottle from Continente Modelo Viveiros.
2.2 Smell is weak, only roast malt and no hops. The taste is roast malt, with some liquorice, raisins and caramel sweetness. Too sweet and one-dimensional. Reminds me more of a old brown than a stout.
2.5 Bottled, 330ml at Cafe Solido, Lisbon, Portugal. Dark brown with tan head. This proved to be really thin on the palate for a stout, there is a sweet fruitiness, quite generic in character. Nothing exciting about it really, quite a dull beer overall.
2.7 Black colour, weak brown head (reminds my on cola). Smell has coffee and chocolate but also some iron. Taste of malt, chocolate, caramel and coffee but very light. Sweet. Overall very flat.
3.1 Bottle. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, bread and a little liquorice. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, bread, mediums weet, little liquorice and a little bitter.
2.2 Bottle. Dark brown, small to average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, light - some caramel and faint roastiness/licorice and faint hoppyness, faint metal. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, light - some caramel and faint licorice, faint hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light - some caramel and faint licorice, faint hoppyness. Caramel sweetish schwarzbier from Carlsberg - lacks character (not sweetness).
