3.437,5cl bottle at home, bought at De Roemer. Appearance: hazy golden with persistent medium sized white head. Aroma: dusty attic, funk, brett, vinegar. Taste: medium sweetness, low bitterness and fairly high tartness. Notes of brett, dust, funk, lemon, some vinegar, and a trace of nuts and dusty sawdust in the finish. Palate: medium bodied, watery to oily texture and lively carbonation. Overall: a soaked and vinegary cork was beneath the bottle cap. This was unexpected and new for me. Maybe this is a sign something could be wrong with the beer. Overall the beer seems quite dusty. Not the best geuze I’ve had.
4.0@Tasting BeerCon, bottle shared, "oude geuze", pale golden no head, Aroma of horse blancket, sour, wood, nice, smooth, thin, taste average sweetness, decent sour, some wood, sugary, wine, decent.
3.5Zurig-fruitig aroma (lambiek, groene appel, beetje citroen). De smaak is zacht zurig-fruitig met een licht granige toets. De afdronk is zacht zurig en droog, maar toch redelijk volmondig voor een Oude Geuze.
3.6Bottle. As De Troch Oude Gueze. 2014 Vintage. Pours clear pale gold with a tiny white head. Aroma and taste of white wine, funk, oak, barnyard notes, acidic, lemony. Good.
3.2Hazy pale golden color with almost no head. A bit flat carbonation level. Still a quite fine beer. Pleasant acidity level and not to dry. Citric, funky, floral and some wood in the flavor.

4.8Pours golden, slightly hazy, with a white head that dilapidates quickly. Aroma is sour, and typically muggy. Low carbonation. Taste is sour, as can be expected, but not as extreme as some of its peers. This allows some fine fruity, citrus flavours and that classic, slightly muggy Gueuze taste to flourish. Of course this is not everybody‘s cup of tea, but this is one savory Gueuze the way I like it.
3.2Bottle from Water & Beer, Catania, Italy. Pours hazy pale orange with a small, bubbly white head, short retention. Funky and tart black walnut, horse blanket, barnyard and wet leaves with grainy/bready malt, light vinous white grape and lactic character and a dry finish. Medium-light body and light carbonation.
3.4375ml bottle. As De Troch Oude Geuze. Strange cork and very hard to open. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow colour. Thin white head, which disappears quite quickly. Lots of acidity, oak, funk, hints of leather and barnyard, citrussy, slightly fruity notes in the aroma. Slightly fruity, acidic, funky, leathery, bit woody taste. Citrussy, bit acidic finish. Acidicy, citrussy notes and oak in the aftertaste. Quite bitter overall. Dry, but not crisp finish. The pure one year old De Troch lambic was really complex. Geuze however is quite ok to drink, but acidity and the bitterness are too agressive. Rather light bodied, not so balanced gueuze.
3.4Flaska från Hopt. Bäst före 2022, så gissar att den är från 2017. Näst intill helt klar guldfärgad utan något skum. Typiska, om än lite tunnare, gueuze-toner i doften med omogna gröna äpplen, gröna äppelskal, gröna druvskal, syrliga fruktkärnor, stenfrukt (typ plommon, nektarin), stall, funk och blött hö. Något lättare kropp, i princip helt stilla.
3.4Bottle. De Troch oude Gueuze. Color: Hazy golden, very thin white head. Taste: Over medium sour, bit acidic and tart, combined with moderate sweet notes. Hints of white grapes and wood, very lightly grapefruit hints, notes of lemon. Sourish finish. Brett barnyard notes. Pretty dry mouthfeel. Medium body, under average carbonation. Ok.
3.5From a 375 ml bottle labeled Oude Gueuze 2015. Pours a cloudy tan with a billowy off white head. Classic barnyard aroma with very acid lemony flavors. Lingering tart finish.
3.0Bright blond colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour are quite complex with sharp grape and a little white wine vinegar. Misses some complexity and dryness.
Finisz z delikatną, pestkową goryczką i "kurzowym" posmakiem.
Wysycenie wysokie, idealne, niska ilość ciała.
Uwagi: super orzeźwiające
4.0Grotte dorst
4.2A small taste from a bottle @ The Belgian Embassy. Pours cloudy golden with a medium head. Aroma is tart malts with some apples. Flavor is complex sour malts with some lemons and apples. Very nice indeed.
3.6Golden with a small white head - Sour aroma with some lemon notes - Sour malt body with some lemon flavour along with some hints of vinegar and wood - The sour flavour goes into the finish - This was good
3.7Rami Rami is drinking an Oude Gueuze by Brouwerij De Troch at Powiśle
Sympatyczna owocowosc (powiedzialbym limonkowo-agrestowa) umiarkowana dzikosc, troche przyduza kwasnosc. Sciaga usto. Ciut jakkby pigwa. +++
5.0Earlier Rating: 2/2/2018 Total Score: 4.6
Not too dry, tasty sour. Smells noble mold like a blue cheese. Tastes like metal.
3.6De Troch Oude Gueuze 2014. Bright gold color, transparent with good clarity, small white ring for a head, and no lacing. Aroma is funky, leathery, and earthy. Flavor is tart, oakey, a bit dry and bitter. Okay overall
3.60.375 l bottle from 'Belgiuminabox.com' as 'Chapeau Cuvée', best before 2020, cellared for over a year. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sourish, quite funky, moderately fruity and slightly dusty aroma of lemon, horseblanket, oak, some rhubarb and a touch of leather. Medium sour, quite funky, dusty-dry and slightly fruity taste of horseblanket, leather, oak, rhubarb, lemon and a touch of vinegar, followed by a medium long, rather tart, woody-dry, dusty and funky finish. Medium body, medium astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pretty elegant, well-balanced, maybe not overly complex but has everything you can expect from an Oude Gueuze.
4.0my first lambic. i was Warned, though I Kind of enjoyed drinking this sour smelly friend.
3.5Bb 2022. Hazy gold. Funky wild yeast and haybale aroma. Bitter, sour, malty, lemon, slight bitter fruit. Long lasting flavor, pretty good. Somehow it lacks a certain something compared to like 3 fonteinen or Girardin, but it's nice.
3.4Pours cloudy golden with low white head. Aroma of grass, citrus, cracked garden branches, funk, hay. Taste is rich tart up front, somewhat one-dimensional but with a light sweet citrusy finish. Light and crisp body with soft carbonation.
3.6Virkelig god aroma: funky og frisk.
Smagen er syrlig og minder om æblejuice.
Ikke videre kompleks.
3.82014 375 ml bottle poured into a lambic glass. The beer is a clear yellow with a white head. Good head retention. The aroma has a strong lemon juice character with supporting aspects of cracker and floral notes. Thoroughly sour. Light body and medium to high carbonation. Pretty good overall, but not as complex as some other Geuezes.
3.6Drinking this was a weird experience. First smell and taste was great, but when I added some of the bottom yeast later on in the tasting, the beer became disgusting. At first, a lot of funk in aroma and taste. Horse blanket, very herbal, dandelions and flowers. After adding a tad of the bottom of the bottle: a muddle, undrinkable.
3.3Robe dorée, mousse abondante. Nez sur des notes acidulés et balsamiques, sur un fond hydrocarburé, assez simple. Bouche à l'attaque acidulée et épicée, qui manque aussi un peu de complexité.
