1.6 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours pale gold with a small white head, loking quite lifeless. Aroma of sour pineapple, sweet fruits, grape, not especially nice. Very sweet but mixed with a sharp citrus bitterness and sour pineapple. Light body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Not nice.
2.4 25cl bottle @ Cervecería Baviera, Oviedo. 23-04-2017. BBD: 05-04-2018. Batch: L14162. In short: sweet watery pineapple flavoured beverage. Did i enjoy it: not really. Pours little hazy bright gold-greenish. Short head retention, almost no head, poor lacing. Sweet pineapple nose, some malty, weak aromas, Light body, average to soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is sweet, pineapple, some artificial, light flavours, dull, boring, watery.
2.0 Bottle split during RBWG, Hotel Lobby Share, 01/02/16. Golde orange with a moderately appointed off white head. Nose is sweet and syrupy pineapple chunks, straw, lightly tartened citric peel. Taste comprises slightly on the turn tinned pineapple chunks, sweet and sticky tropical shreds, fruit syrup, faint background wood. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, sweet close. The things we do for ticks!
3.1 Bottle 25 cl, a golden beer with low head. Nose is lactic and lambic like. Aroma is on fresh grapefruit, the assotiation with lambic beer goes well, not too sweet, seems natural.
2.3 Bottle @ home, from Dranken Geers. Bright clear copper pour with a small head. Notes of citric acid, sweet, syrup and some fruit.
2.1 Bouteille 25 cl - couleur blonde, peu de mousse, odeur de bonbon, de fruits mais pas trop d’ananas, goût sucré sur l’ananas, pas très bonne
2.0 375 mL bottle. Clear golden body. What is that smell? It doesn’t smell like pineapple. Strange grain aroma. Tastes really sweet. It has a little pineapple, but it’s all sugar. Yikes. Medium body. Really sweet. Undrinkably sweet.
2.3 Bottle from Los Zarcillos, Fuengirola. Clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Sweet pine apple aroma, grapes, some wood, earthy, notes of sweet dessert wine. Sweet pine apple flavor, grapes, wood, some dessert wine. Sweet and cloying.
1.7 Bottle. Pours in golden pale body with low white head. Aroma has light sulfur, egg like notes, dirty socks. Taste has sticky syrupy sweetness with medium sweet acidic bitterness, unbalanced. Body is sticky, high, no to low carbonation.
3.6 250ml bottle. Carbonated pale yellow wit virtually no head. Strong aroma of candied fruits, with hints of brandy and cinnamon. The flavour is predominantly tart and cutting pineapple, with an acidic mouthfeel on the swallow and a sticky residue left behind. Unusual and jam-like.
1.5 At Maakun’s, bottle eagerly shared by Maakun. Pale golden with thin white ring head. Smells as if you’re opening your last can of 20 years past best before date pineapple in an apocalyptic world. Super sweet sugar pineapple candy, canned pineapple and some light cheesy funk. Light carbonation and a dusty moldy finish.
1.6 Bottle shared at home. Clear light golden with white head. Canned pineapple from the 60ies, very sugary, light puke, cheese, pee, light dried leaves and hay. Quite sweet and light sour. Under medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Seems a bit sweeter than other Chapeaus, and maybe slightly less puke-like. Still don’t understand how anyone could ever like this though.
0.9 Bottle, old, not sure what year. Golden pour with no head. Terrible vegetal, green beans, off aromas. Flavors are still off, pineapple maybe, sweet and terrible tones.
0.5 Aroma has a hint of pineapple in it. Appearance looks like cider but without any bubbles. Color is golden and beer is clear, not very beer like. Taste is medium sweet. This drink is very flat, no carbonation at all. Finish is too long. I did not like this "beer" at all, very disappointing.
2.6 Bottle. Pours a pale gold with small frothy white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong pineapple and cream. Thin mouth, pineapple cream, light tart finish, ok.
2.0 Bottle shared at hotel lobby fart share @ RBWG 2016. Clear golden liquid with minimal white head. Aroma of pineapple, grain, cardboard and wood. Taste is medium sweet sweet and light sour with notes of sugar, pineapple and cardboard. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Ugh. Awful.
1.1 375 ml corked and capped bottle. Clear golden color. Small white head dissapates quickly. Sweet candy-like aroma redolent of pineapple and lemon furniture polish. Flavor mirrors aroma with more sweet pineapple juice. Lightly carbonated. Overly sweet and cloying.
2.3 Bottle in a train in Belgium. Clear golden coloured with a small white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and pine apples. Sweet and fruity flavour of pine apples and blue cheese. Fruity finish.
2.5 29/XII/14 - 25cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ holiday - BB: 1/IX/16 (2014-1556) Clear pale orange beer, small white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of sweet pineapple, bit sugary, pineapple juice. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet, pineapple juice, bit sugary, soft sourness. Aftertaste: pineapple juice, sugary, sweet, well, it does deliver it’s promise, namely being a pineapple beer... and it that way it is pretty original and actually not too repulsing.
1.3 Bottle . Pours clear blonde, no head . Smell is filthy, sweet, candy-fruityness . Almost unrecognizable to be pineapple . Taste is like a rotten lemonade . The funky aspect of the lambic still shines trough ( in a bad way, believe it or not ) and totally collides with the areficial aspects that are in this beer . The aftertaste is OK , like a sweet lambic with a fruity touch . Low carbo . The first taste when sipping is just plain discusting .
1.3 Bottle @ another tasting. Aroma is glue, solvent and artificial exotic fruity something notes. Flavour is lemonade, artificial, hint of vomit.
2.0 Bottle at Another Tasting, hosted by MrHangover. Clear golden pour, no head. Aroma of chemical pineapple. Flavor is very sweet and cloying fruits. Bad.
1.2 Bottle @ Another Tasting, courtesy of kermis. Pours a clear golden beer without any head on top. Aroma of tropical fruit, but then regurgitated and spat on the floor... Flavor starts off thirst quenching, but then it’s decieving you and kicking you in the face like mule in Moscow. Fuck this shit..
0.8 Bottle shared. Pours clear golden witha small off white head. Aroma of rotten fruit, rubber, bandaid. Flavor is heavy sweet with a little acidity. Terrible.
1.9 Bottle 375ml. Many thanks Czar. Pours very clear yellow with low off-white head. Some lacing. Aroma is of intense mint, sugar, candies. Taste is of very intense mint, pineapple, intense sugar. Palate: Full bodied. Soft carbonation. Overall: Gross. Very sweet.
1.6 pours unclear pale yellow, gold tint, with a disappearing white cap, no lacing. mint, coconut, pina colada, cheap artificial pineapple candies, faint old grassy hops, light woodsy notes, über-cloying - honey, malt sweetness and over-sweetened fruit juice. light carbonation, - lacking, medium body - oily and sticky, coconuty and buttery finish. more than muted lambic character. dis-gus-ting. but not all chapeau’s are - not overly bashing here, this simply is just not drinkable - highly improbable that one could drink a 37.5cl by him(her)self.
2.2 Bottle shared by czar, thanks! Pours a clear golden with a small rim that leaves no lacing. Nose is of pineapple and coconut, heavily sweetened. Taste is of sweet canned pineapple and coconut, like a swilly pina colada. Mouthfeel is just like drinking fruit syrup, too sweet and sticky. Almost no lambic character. Blah.
2.1 Botella de 25 cl, en Cerveceria Internacional. Color dorado. Sabor a piña, dulce, ligeramente a levadura.
2.5 Väldigt lätt i kroppen och nästan helt genomskinlig. Väldigt fruktig arom av ananas. Smak som kolsyrad ananas juice.
3.0 Bottle purchased at Champane’s in Warren. Clear yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, sour yeast and sour fruit. Sweet malt and pineapple flavor with a sugary sweet finish.
