Pretty hazy golden coloured body with a pretty large, two centimetre tall pure white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of very defined grassy and herbal notes that bring out the banana esters of the Belgian yeast strain with a lot of grainy malts right behind and a hit of fresh hops as well - very nice and great for the style - tons of complexity in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grainy and yeastie flavours dominate up front with a big dry quality and some hop bitterness as well, but the malts are the strongest here and bring out some rustic and basementy type flavours usually reserved for some of the roasted/toasted malt beers, but this is complex and rich, yet crisp somehow. Aftertaste shows the grassy and herbal notes up front with a lot of the hop bitterness still around, but not from high alpha acid hops, this is a smooth flow of lighter hops that hit throughout, but the yeast is still here of course and quite strong in a good, pure Belgian way. Overall, a pretty nice beer that is refreshing, yet full of flavour and even more complexity that brings out some crisp notes and at the very end, even some slight citrusey flavours, but still goes down easily. Great to sample, especially in summer here and especially on the other side of the Atlantic! I sampled this 33 cL stubby bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 25-June-2022 for US$11,99/four pack, sampled at my house here in Washington before going to see Enter Shikari at the Union Stage in Washington on 15-September-2022, a few blocks away.

Barwa złota, lekko zamglone, piana biała, średnio obfita, dość trwała. W aromacie brzoskwinia, żółte owoce, nieco szampańskie. W smaku półwytrawne, estrowe, owocowe. Goryczka niska do średniej, wysycenie średnie, nieznaczny alkohol, ciało w normie. Nie wyróżnia się jakoś szczególnie.
Amère
On draught in the hotel bar; hazy orange/yellow head; aromas of yellow fruit, apples some herbs. Similar for taste with hints of gras ond some spices. Quite nice.
Flaska. Disig ljust gyllengul öl med ett vitt skum. Doft och smak är fruktig med citrus, örtighet och gräsighet.

Pours a slightly hazy straw/yellow colour with a large throthy white head. Aromas of coriander, clove, apple, pear and a touch of banana. Taste has the same notes again with added notes of bubblegum and a little peppery spice. Thin to medium body with average carbonation. Nice light and refreshing. Will have to try this one again on a hot summers day.
Smell-weak hops, grass, Belgian yeast.
Foam- thin, malt, hops. Head is large white color. Sticks a bit.
Appearance- again beer specific bottle cap, and unique label, I guess. Clear yellow-amber color, some active carbonation.

Taste- weak hops, herbal, grassy, faint Belgian yeast, citrus. Quite neutral, but still very drinkable. Alcohol mixed in well.
Purvis Cellars bottle (27-Oct-21) Lemon aroma and light funk aroma. Yellow cloudy colour, good white head and suds lacing. Lemongrass spice flavour. Lemon pepper finish and perfume grass lemon aftertaste.
Floral hop spice malt aroma. Murky yellow colour poor head and lacing. Malt fruit hop herbal flavour. Fizzy palate.
Origineel is net iets beter. Maar blijft even lekker, weinig verschil met origineel
330ml bottle i got some time ago from a local store drinking 15/10/2021 BB 08 2021 slightly late this time I guess Pours a hazy slightly pale golden with good amount of rocky bubbly white foam on top and good lacing. Aroma of wheat, citrus, belgian yeast and spices, floral, coriander and some cloves. Taste is fresh and sweet with belgian yeast, wheat, fruity and spices hints, citrus, apple, tangerine, herbal hops in the spiced low bitter finish. Vaguely astringent finish with a sweet citrusy aftertaste and bit prickly very lively carbonation. Extremely drinkable and sweet but not unbalanced. Medium body and slightly oily texture, medium carbonation. Nice and drinkable with 6% abv and not really much bitter but refreshing, it's not my favorite Chouffe but you just feel like you couldn't stop drinking this one. Really quaffable easy belgian.

0.33l bottle. Cloudy golden color with white head. Aroma of yeast, spices and citrus. Taste is sweet and little bitter.
Olor malteado y afrutado, rico y atractivo previo al trago. Color amarillo claro, con posos y carbonatación media, medio dedo de espuma que se disipa y solo queda la corona.
Muy afrutada y cítrica en boca, quedando la malta en un lugar muy secundario, tampoco apreciamos lúpulo.
Agradable, pero con el listón tan alto de La Chouffe siempre esperas un poco más.
De color anaranjado, con un dedo de espuma de buena retención. Cuerpo y carbonatación media. Aroma cítrico y especiado. En boca notamos presencia de cilantro, levadura y malta.
Zoete smaak, niet echt bijzonder. Aangenaam biertje al bij al. Pas op bij het inschenken!
33 cl. bottle at hoem. Bought at Ølliver. Low but lasting fluffy white hea. Hazy dark yellow body. Sweet fruity honey aroma and flavor with a high caronation, little hops bitterness and a long sweet finish. Well balanced with an alcohol level that seems just right. Beware.
An aromatic Belgian Pale Ale. Veiled gold color, with an abundant and moderately persistent white head. The aroma has hints of cereals, candied citrus fruits, light spices (pepper and, perhaps, coriander) and balsamic herbs. The taste reveals flavors of bread, honey, mixed citrus fruits, white pepper and coriander, with a discreet final bitterness of fresh herbs. The body is medium to full, with an adequate carbonation and positively perceptible alcohol. All in all an enjoyable and aromatic beer, perhaps a little strange and difficult to categorize.
330 ml bottle. Clear color low head, distinctive belgish smell, but more citric, reminds me of the country :) fantastic. Taste like regular Chouffe, but in a softer way, I guess that's why they called it Solei. Even if it's lighter, it's still great. Solid beer :)
Old rating from 10-01-16 - Picked up on a recent road trip to Belgium. 330ml bottle. Pours a cloudy orange colour with fluffy white head. Aromas of citrus, pine & malt. Taste is quite sweet, malty, yeast, grassy, light sweet fruit. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. Overall enjoyable but slightly disappointing as I had high expectations

Color dorado anaranjado, semitraslúcido, de abundante sedimento y un dedo de espuma de media retención. Aroma maltoso y algo herbáceo con inesperada presencia alcohólica dada su baja graduación. Sabor dulce, entre cereal y fruta, esteroso, con cierto toque especiado y con un menor trasfondo amargo. Cuerpo y carbonatación medios.

A blond color, slightly hazy with a thin white head.
Flowers and bubblegum to the nose.
Spices and Citrus notes to the taste with a slight alcohol warmth balanced with a modeeate bitterness. The beer has a light body is highly carbonated and had a dry clean finish.
Overall funny refreshing beer tasting like summer not session though.
Aroma of yeast and candy and a sweet sour fruity taste. Good beer overall, worth a try.

Nice Belgian beer. Has a mature peppery and cardamom taste to it. Drink cold, wouldnt know it was 6.0% without looking on the bottle
