Cigar City Florida Cracker White Ale

Cigar City Florida Cracker White Ale

The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

2.0 Helder geel bier met een kleine witte schuimkraag. Waterig granige smaak met hinten van citrus en kruiden. Daarnaast is er iets bloemigs en hoppigs te ontdekken. Eindigt waterig en bloemig.
3.5 Canned October 3rd. Pours a mostly clear pale gold with a 2 finger head of foam that is very slow to shrink. The nose is big coriander and orange peel. Spicy fruity. The taste is of coriander, orange peel, cloves, tastes the part of the style as much as it smells it. Light side of medium bodied. I reckon that it's a well crafted American example of the style.
3.0 not a huge belgian wit fan but this is decent. a bit too wheat for my taste, but some nice flavors.
3.5 Aromas of orange zest orange peel wheat coriander lemon zest citrus and grain malts. Taste is tangy grapefruit orange zest dried orange peel orange soda powder lemon spruce slight acidity citrus juice wheat biscuit caramel and dried grain malt. Overall, very similar to hoegaarden but a bit more crisp and refreshing.
3.3 35.5cl blik. Tweeschijn bleek van kleur, fijne romige witte schuimkraag. De geur is curaçaoschil en tarwe. Smaak is zoet, curaçaoschil, tarwe en licht koriander. Licht body en veel koolzuur.
4.0 A tall can from 8th St Liquor in New Westminster. A light orange color, semi-hazy, white head, fruity spicy nose. Palate shows fruit and savory spices. Orange peel and coriander, but something here makes it more complex and interesting than the average witbier. Dunno if it’s the malt variety, maybe the yeast, maybe the fermentation process or some combination thereof, but yeh, nice.
3.7 The hazy pale yellow color pour is capped with a thin white head. It has a spicy - coriander and clove note.
3.4 DATE: July 26, 2020... OCCASION: the O's take the first series of the COVID-shortened year, and yes, it is hot out!... GLASSWARE: Konig-Pilsner weizen... pours five fingers' worth of froth that sizzles and sustains itself atop a cloudy cascade of bubbles framed in a light, golden yellow body... its lacing is arcing coral that hangs like clouds... big banana and clove, with salted cracker and light tobacco making this a Cigar City-like experience... crisp, refreshing and soft at the back end... somewhat creamy at its start and mouthfeel... its ABV is carried appropriately... its profile centers on--what else?--banana and clove, at a moderate clip, without any outstanding weight or worth... perfect for a 90-plus degree day like this, but it loses its tobacco and cracker in its taste, instead tending towards a citric hop quality not wholly unwelcome--think coriander and tangerine... overall, is "safe" a positive word? it satisfies, so it meets the style's goal...
3.0 Lightly cloudy golden with minimal fizzy head. Sweet orange and coriander are most noticeable. A bit of underlying yeast is present. Flavor? Yep, coriander and sweet orange. Decent but forgettable.
3.7 I have purchased this beer, yesterday, at the drinks of the world, Bern, coming back from the zoo. Drinking this can with this cold weather, at Bern, train station. The color is yellow, grey and troubled, normal carbonation, white foam. In my point of view, it is a fair witbier, rather dry and mineral at the palate, wheat and malt with a correct side of coriander, orange peel and hoppy final, smooth hop, not that citrus, refreshing and classical.
3.4 12oz can with commonshawn and samalito. Cloudy golden appearance. Aroma has elements of yeast, coriander, and Belgian spices. Orange and other citrus fruit. Taste reminds me of traditional beers in the Hoegaarden vein. Very light and drinkable. Hints of orange and Belgian spice. Slight sweetness.
3.5 Can with commonmac and samalito. Gold with small white head. Subtle nose. Coriander, citrus, and yeast. Light. crisp, good for summer.
3.5 Canned from Walmart. Hazy straw in color. Strong yeast and spice in the nose with a litte bit of lightly sweet banana. Yeasty and mildly sweet up front. Very yeasty for a wit. Very much like a hefe with spice. Very good.
3.8 Pale yellow, thin white head. Nose is headty and herbal. Middle is wheat, orange, herbs, light kilned malt, touch of banana. Finish is sweet and bready. Nice Wit.
3.3 Pours a golden ale color with a moderately thick white head. Aroma is yeast and citrus. Flavor is pretty typical for a wit - lots of bitterness (both start and finish) with some hints of orange. A little watered down, but overall a decent beer.
Corpo snello e carbonazione vivace.
4.0 Aroma of wheaty malt and yeast, with some citrusy notes. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a creamy white head. Taste is fruity, with melon and orange apparent, yeast and hop flavours bounce around and there's some spice character in there too. It has moderate carbonation, a creamy mouthfeel and a sweet fruit aftertaste
3.6 Hazy golden body. Thick white head. Smell of a light citrus and coriander. Taste was a creamy banana with a perfect hop balance. Good beer.
3.4 A common attempt at this style of wit, with coriander and orange, nothing particular. Opened while helping a friend build a D&D 5th ed wild magic sorcerer.
3.6 Aroma is wheat and mild spices. The flavor is wheat, coriander, mild citrus and a smooth/Belgian yeast finish.
3.3 The plan was to arrive a few hours ago with flight LH 462 at 2:45 pm in Miami and travel through Florida for the next three weeks. But due to the pandemic and the world wide lockdown, we had to cancel everything. As a substitute I ordered online some Florida beers for the next days. Starting now with Florida Cracker. Hazy flat golden in the glass, one finger white head. Wheat and orange smell. Tastes with fruity wheat and yeast at the start, orange, banana, wheat and yeast, some coriander. Nice and easy drinking stuff.
3.3 Cloudy yellow-gold pour with a thin clear to white head. Aroma is wheat citrus, banana, pepper, floral floury wheat and Belgian fruity esters. Flavor is basically the same, but with some pronounced coriander that I couldn't pick up on the aroma, oddly. Medium body, light carbonation, creamy, but chalky feel. Pretty good for a Witbier.
2.5 If a blue moon had hops
4.1 Tastes like a great summer beer. Has a citrus like taste to it with a really nice cloudy gold look to it. Sweet and much like Blue Moon or Hoegaarden. Will be buying again!
3.5 Pours with really nice white foam and a cloudy yellowish body. Smells of smooth creamy yeast and sweet grains. Flavour is chewy grains and yeast, sweet chalkiness and some lemon. Very nice, very drinkable.

3.4 Pours a cloudy golden yellow colour with a slightly frothy white head. Aroma is of coriander, banana, and slight orange. Taste is mildly sweet throughout. Lighter body, smooth mouthfeel, and lively carbonation. Good brew overall.
3.5 Citrus aroma in a hazy yellow gold pour. Restrained funky tart body with a hint of banana and bubblegum in the finish.
3.3 12oz can. Pours a cloudy golden with a thin white head. Banana, clove, coriander and water. Easy drinking and tame white ale. Is what it is.
