Cisco Pumple Drumkin

Cisco Pumple Drumkin

On Nantucket a Pumple named Drumkin, brewed up some great ale with his pumpkins. One and all came to savor the delicious flavor, then wobbled around quite like bumpkins. At Cisco they thought, "The is De-Lish! Let’s make some more because we wish, to please all the tourists, and locals and purists, with the best ale that we can accomplish!"

2.9 on tap @ Vino Belissimo / Lima OH --- Clear medium amber color with a long-lasting white head, and a full curtain of lace. Taste is malt that adds straight hop bittering on the swallow, moving to a finish that leaves a residue of chalk on the roof of the mouth. Only fair.
2.4 12 oz bottle. It pours an amber color with a small quickly vanishing white head. It has the aroma of pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. This is pretty drinkable for the style. I taste the usual pumpkin pie spices and a lot of vegetable spices. It is a OK beer but not all that special.
1.7 Bottle from a free beer week contest. Pours a reddish copper color with a slight white head. Aromas of slight dark fruits, oxidation, alcohol. Taste is wet cardboard. Taste is abrasive. Medium light body.
2.8 Poured a clear orange color with a small white head. Aroma has some sweet pumpkin and toasted malts. Taste is a bit on the thin side with lots of veggies. Some pumpkin and spices too. Slight cardboard with biscuits. Overall its ok, but far from the best pumpkin beer.
1.8 This beer literally tastes like a Bud light with some shitty artificial pumpkin flavoring added. Color is horrible and it leaves a bad aftertaste. Never again.
2.8 16 fl. oz. on tap @ Atlantic Fish Co. Pours clear orange with a low head. Aroma is malts with some spices. Flavor is malts with some pumpkin and spices. Simple and decent.
2.5 Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer & Beyond, Tel Aviv. Clear light copper with small off-white head. Aroma of clove, spicy, notes of banana, yeasty, bready, a bit milky. Very spicy flavor, light hoppy bitterness, light sweetness, herbs, light roastiness, sweet-bitter dry finish. Light carbonation, light to medium-bodied.
3.3 Amber with little rimming head; aroma is malty and gourdy; Flava is semi sweet hints of maple cinnamon; feels light to medium fizzy; finishes dry grainy tangy
3.3 Pour is amber in color with a tall white head. Aroma is so so spices and hops. A good flavor beer that is not over flavored with spices it a great drinker. Not the best pumpkin beer but one of the best drinkers.
2.4 Keg @ Cisco Brew Pub, Logan. Light amber with hardly any head. Nose is pretty meager. Brown bread and caramel. A bit of vegetable. Little going for it. Solar flavor. A bit f soapy white bread. Light grass. Brown sugar. Lacks character. Light body, soft carbonation. So underwhelming.
2.9 Draft. Clear amber color, small white head. Aroma of cinnamon and light hay. Taste is watery spice.
2.7 12oz bottle pours a clear, burnt orange with some thin, white head. Nose is interesting, from afar it has quite a bit of spice - cinnamon/nutmeg/powdered ginger, up close it has some root veg, some carrot, some spaghetti squash, some odditities too like tomato and celery seed. Flavor has a lot more tomato, a little ketchup, a little waxy, some root veg, white pepper, coriander. Slim finish. Strange.
2.3 Poured into a frosted mug from a bottle. Aroma of an IPA and taste like an IPA,I don’t taste any spice or pumpkin at all. Nothing but hops. Pretty much an IPA with a cool looking label. This is my 5th pumpkin beer I’ve sampled tonight and nothing yet has beat Shipyard Pumpkinhead.
3.0 Good orange pour w/ a white head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma is too soft & unappealing. The flavor is lacking in spice & is rather dry which doesn’t make it the best for the palate. Certainly not one of the better pumpkins I’ve had!
2.9 Bottle, pours copper with medium head. Subtle aroma of fall spices. The flavor is less spice-driven, with some sour off-notes from the yeast and not a whole lot else. Not a great pumpkin beer.
3.3 Draft sample at Cincy Beerfest 2014 on Fountain Square. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Notes of pale and cereal malts, vegetal pumpkin, very faint spice, and some sweet pie crust. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a very lightly malty mouthfeel. This pumpkin ale is very light, and not particularly spicy. If that’s your thing, this is for you.
3.9 12 oz can from Eagle in Pittsburgh. This was a very pleasant and enjoyable seasonal. Particularly nice spicing and just the right amount of alcohol.
3.1 12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, copper, minimal white head and no lacing. Aroma is mild spices and malts. Taste is also a bit too mild, sweet, spices and pumpkin. Nice and drinkable.
2.8 Pours an amber with one finger head with moderate to heavy lacing . Aroma of toasted malt, pumpkin, little hops. Moderately bitter with small amount of pumpkin spice. Bitterness overpowers the pumpkin. Medium bitter finish. This is an okay brew
3.2 Bottle. Bright copper-orange with spongy off-white head, moderate pumpkin aroma, tastes like pumpkin, cinnamon, medium carbonation, medium finish with bitter aftertaste. Reminded me of an ESB.
2.6 Can. Burnt orange. Spiced pumpkin pie aroma. Weak on the taste and mouthfeel. No spice at all. Pumpkin is faint on the finish. Very light body. Wouldn't get this again.
2.6 Draft. Overall not a real winner. Very chemical pumpkin aroma, slick finish, moderate carbonation. May r too eat in season
2.5 Aroma is muddled with cloves present on the nose. Appearance is clear and gold with a white head with poor head retention. Flavor has clove notes with nutmeg. Body is thin with medium carbonation. Overall, it's not a good beer. Way too thin with a muddled aroma and taste.
2.7 12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a hazy amber with an off white head of foam that diminishes to just a ring around the edge of the glass. Aroma is slice forward. It actually reminds me of root beer with ginger and aftershave. The taste actually has a good bit of pumpkin pie character. That spice is a bit aggressive in the aroma and it puts me off a bit, but once I get a taste, its better. Light to medium carbonation.
3.0 Pours a hazy orange with light notes of spice, pumpkin, and cinnamon. Flavor is light to moderately sweet with a light body and slightly crisp finish. Decent pumpkin but not the best that I have had
2.3 Bottle @SBWF 2013 Clear amber color, small white head. Pumpkin(!) aroma. Light-bodied. Pumpkin, some spices, short sweetish finish.
3.0 Aroma is spices/cinnamon, lemons and sugar. The flavor is sugar sweetness, spices, fruit and a mildly sour finish.
2.7 Draft. Pours almost clear dull copper brown with a thin white head and some lacing. Tastes slightly sour, malty, like fermenting apples and cherries. Low/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like cherries, bananas, malt.
3.1 Draught: This one pours an orangish-gold color. It has a bit of a white head on it. Not much lacing. The aroma is OK. Some pumpkin spices, hint of malt. Not much else. The taste is very similar. Some pumpkin spices, a bit of malts. Rates a "Meh" at best.
2.6 probably the best of the three punkin beers toniahgt. Pour is a little darker than yellow. Smells like plain old beer from a can. Decent co2. Not spice forward and I apprecate that. Interesting and mild on the finish.
