2.5 Clear golden, white head. Aroma of mash and citrus. Tastes raw wirth, hoppy aftertaste, citrus, bitter marmalade and spruce. A bit too raw, but drinkable for a light beer
3.0 Tastes exactly like any other super light European beer. Says more about other beers than this one. At least this has a valid excuse; is alcohol free. It's like doing a marathon and getting beaten by someone in a costume. This beer may as well be in a buzz lightyear costume finishing a marathon with several hours on the clock, yet narrowly beating Beck's, Heineken and Stella, kitted out in active wear.
2.7 Ar: Intensywnosc srednio-niska, wyraznie brzeczkowo i slodkawo, lekki slod, jakby odrobina trawy cytrynowej. Wyg: Zloto, klar, piana dobra, gruboziarnista, brudzi. Sm: Wysycenie wysokie, dominuje brzeczka, nieco slodko, potem troche ziolowosci chmielu, na koniec lekka goryczka ze starego chmielu i jakby skorki cytryny. Pos: dluga zalegajaca srednio przyjemna goryczka z ziolowosci chmielu + odrobiny jakby skorki limonki.
1.9 28/6/2021. Bottle from WiseBartender.co.uk. Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, worty, cardboard, grass, citrus and veggie notes. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Light body, oily watery texture, average carbonation. Not very good.
3.0 Amber body with thin white head. Light caramel aroma. Sweet, but not too sweet taste with a little bit of tang.
0.5 Claims to taste like alcoholic beer, fails miserably. Tastes awful.
3.0 Bottle. Amber beer with a whitish head. Light malt aroma. Sweet malt and light caramel flavor with light mineral and light toasted malt. Medium bodied. Sweet malt and light caramel linger with light mineral and light grass.
1.6 330ml green bottle - the brewed in Germany version. Pours a clear gold like a good lager with a short lived white head. Aroma is peculiar but distinctive to this beer, reminds me of cosmetics. It is light bodied and the predominant taste is sweet malt with a decent bitterness but it doesn't really taste like beer. More like fizzy water with "beer essence" added from the same place that makes lime milkshake flavouring. The bitterness lasts but it isn't much like hops. I have enjoyed good times with people having one of these at lunch but really it was the people not the beer that were good. Modern science must be able to do better than this.
2.4 500mL Can. Yellow-gold body with a thin white head leaving small blotches on the glass and then clearing up. Sweet grainy aroma, a sharp phenolic note of sweet corn, a tiny hint of grass, innuendos of honey and clover. Honey dominates the taste at first sip, then shifting to corn husk in the aftertaste and linger. Mild hops make a whirlwind visit, then a linger of more corn husk than anything else. Although this zero-octane outshines many macro swills I sampled, it still struggles to make a decent impression. The obnoxious watery-sweet phenolic corn-and-peas taste I seem to encounter so often in 0.5 or less octane beers is mostly absent in this one, thus allowing a modicum of potential to win the approval of a "beach beer" fan. An alcohol-free and safe alternative to rehydrating after a big workout, maybe?
2.2 Can from a Coop in Greve in Chianti. Slight grainy taste with a hint of bitterness. Better than drinking a Coke but it's definitely the old sex-close-to-the ocean effect, f& Close to water. Refreshing if you don't want a beer just now.
3.0 Buona analcolica, profumata e saporita, tipo Moretti zero
2.6 Clear golden with a decent white head. Taste is grainy with a decent bitterness. Quite drinkable for a low-alc.
2.6 Golden color with good foam. Nose. Malt, fresh must is a little grain. Taste. The body is pleasant, soft carbonation. sweet dense, aftertaste pleasant long bitterness.
3.5 0,33 can. Nice look, golden color, white foam. It smells sweet, malty, "German", with a little weird straw, grassy hint. Pretty full-bodied. Sweet, full of malt, you can feel the German classic malt. Alongside it, it is even bitter and has a slightly sour aftertaste. Good non-alcoholic beer, but maybe too sweet! It would be good for a thirst quencher at a good price!
1.8 Tastes like fizzy malt water: “Mutton dressed as lamb” looks fine (clear and golden, head retention) smells like lightly hopped ale , even the mouthfeel is pleasurable (some wheat in there I think) nicely carbonated. But it tastes poor (bordering on awful), malt water , heavily dry hopped but the bitterness doesn’t hide the sickly sweet wort taste. This is a poor (but non atypical) low alcohol beer.
1.8 Can from Rema 1000, Valby shared at home (10/03/2020) - golden pour with a white head. Grassy bitter and coarse grainy malty, straw, wet cardboard, corn sweetness, watery body, high carbonation, bitter finish.
3.0 Best N/A beer yet (as of 9/19)
2.5 Bright and bubbly. Not bad for an alcohol-free beer, but still suffers from a predominant chemical taste. OK if drunk very cold.
2.4 Durchaus trinkbar, sogar recht hopfig. Definitiv eins der besseren alkoholfreien Pilsetten. Bitterer Abgang. Passt schon.
2.2 Can. Sweetish beer with light bitter tail. Quite herbal feel. Nah. Let's say it's not bad for N/A beer
1.7 Review: 0,5l, green bottle of Clausthaler Alkoholfrei original: < 0.5% vol. Comes in a bottle that looks like a regular beer. Certainly fooled me, that’s why I bought the fucking thing, thinking it was normal beer. Damn!!!! On the pour I have to say the beer looks fantastic, a great big frothy white head, with a lot of good lively carbonation resulting in a nice clear golden coloured beer on appearance. Head maintains very well, and some good lacing left on the glass. A good looking beer, sparkling, surprisingly good for a non alcoholic brew.………… Smells pretty good too, getting a nice malty aroma on the nose for sure, but also a rather strange aroma. Guess could put that down to the sweet grains and floral hops. Some stringent corn smells too. Overall not bad on the nose. Get a lot in the bottle, which is always a big plus. The taste is a bit urgh, all very sickly sweet and very bitter. First impressions not good at all. Kind of a spicy and creamy off taste to it. For a non alcoholic beer it is quite hoppy and bitter, which is very surprising to me. It certainly does taste like a beer, with the malts, barley and grains to the fore, which is impressive. Could definitely fool people into thinking it was a regular beer. But not pleasant really, or very enjoyable, a dry finish with an artificial bitter taste that isn’t going to do it for me, will pass, thank you very much………….
2.2 Not so bad for an alcohol free beer. I like the grassy hops aroma, which are more strongly present than in other alc free beers, without bringing too much bitterness.
3.0 Pours clear golden with a white and stable head. Aroma is malty with notes of grain and a hint of cooked vegetables. Taste is smooth and malty with fruity flavour and some nuts as well. Finishes with decent crispy flavour of herbs, but slightly metallic touch. A good thirst quencher and a decent brew for a non-alcoholic beer. (Poured from a 0,33l bottle, bb 03.01.2021)
3.5 Best no alcohol beer I have tried. Funny aftertaste tho , which limits drink ability.
1.0 Strange taste
2.3 I like it,becausr it has enough hop character and there is no sweet taste. Recommended.
