3.3 12oz bottle from Total Wine in tampa. Huge pillowy root beer float style head that sticks forever. Aroma is floral, bread, earthy. Tastes are grass, resiny, pine, caramel, dusty. Little bite to it. Kind of strange.
3.3 Bottle from Mari’s. Pours hazy orange with a large white head that has good retention, decent lacing. The aroma is mostly citrus notes and is more on the orange than grapefruit side.. maybe a touch of apricot. There are minor floral notes. The taste has a good bit of mango, very light bitterness, and a slightly chalky finish. OK but enjoyable.
3.0 Bottle. Dark amber, mild aroma with more malt than hops. Very bubbly carbonation holds this back.
2.7 Tap at T&P. Pours a clear copper orange color with a foamy white head. Aroma is sweet hops, sticky resin, sap and leaves. Flavor is dry and leafy, earthy bitter with a bitter finish.
3.6 Hazy amber colored pour. Small white head that fades quickly Not much lacing. Aroma of caramel and hops. Some orange notes. Caramel taste with some malt sweetness. Some slight hop flavor. Not bad. Sweet finish with a bit of bitterness in the back. Not bad.
3.9 Pours a nice deep golden color. Nice head with good lace. Hoppy, but not overly so, with a citrus finish. Sessionable.
3.2 Poured from a bottle it is a slightly cloudy golden beer with an off white head the aroma is light citrus and the taste is a bready flavor that has a slight bitter overtone.
3.4 From a 12 bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy copper with an off white head. Mild grassy hop nose. Flavors of citrus. Muted bitterness. Decent IPA.
3.2 Pours a nice peach colour with white attractive lacing. Stone juicy citrus and tropical fruit aromas. The flavour is a bit of a let down. Thin and watery with some bready malt and mild bitterness. Not their finest effort (although I was happy to Support the cause).
3.1 Hop flavor is lacking and bitterness is out of balance. I don’t think the bottle was old but it seems like hops have faded.
3.3 Pours golden amber with medium tan head out of bottle. Hop aroma with hint of bread, citrus, and fruit. Dry hop taste with floral finish. Good beer much needs more flavor.
3.4 Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Cloudy, bright copper orange with a 1-finger pale khaki head and good lacing. Aroma of pine, orange, biscuit malt and light fruit. Taste of pine, orange, caramel, bready malt, tropical fruit and bitter floral hops--all nicely in balance. The flavors are not especially intense. Medium body and medium carbonation.
3.6 Draft. Aroma is fruits and hop. Very smooth. Lots of citrus taste but still pretty balanced for a session.
3.8 Draft at crunchy's. Light gold with some juicy aromas. Great flavor for a session.
2.8 12 oz bottle. Pours hazy copper amber with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass. The aroma is tropical fruits and resiny hops and some sweet biscuit malt. The flavor is sweet biscuity toffee malts with a little tropical fruit and a decent amount of bitterness but not a lot of flavor from the hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery with smooth carbonation. Overall, an OK IPA.
3.3 Thanks Spence3208. Reddish-orange pour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruity hops. Taste is light hop flavor, light fruitiness. ok beer. So-so lacing.
3.9 Aroma is pine, light tropical fruit/kiwi and a hint of lemons. The flavor is citrus, lemons, tropical fruit, definite hop resin notes, malts and a bone dry finish.
3.4 Orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of citrus and bread. Citrus, toast, with a resiny finishing bitter. Medium bodied with ok carbonation.
3.9 Hazy orange. White head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Taste is sweet and bitter. Creamy and astringent mix. Very good.
3.5 This bottle was sent to me by Strykzone. Bottling date was 4/2012 so it is a bit old. Poured a copper color with a big yellowish head with lots of lacing. Bottle kept gushing after the first pour. Nose of tropical fruits, and some citrus. Medium in body with a highly carbonated mouthfeel. Flavor is pine and citrus. Bitter finish. OK.
3.4 12oz bottle picked up at Total Beverage Pours clear golden with a medium sized white head and good lacing. Aroma of earthy malts, caramel and pine. Flavors of malts, caramel, buttery and pine OK, was hoping for more.
3.3 355 mL bottle. Doesn’t look especially fantastic. The aroma isn’t especially strong. It has mostly pine resin. The flavour is more interesting. It is hops, but not the usual pine/citrus/floral/earthy. If I had to use those usual markers, I would say a combo of citrus and earthy. Not terribly bitter. Interesting, though.
3.1 Bottle had 3 months after the bottled on date. A little thin but you can tell this is a decent ipa underneath
3.3 Bottle. Copper with small white head. Aroma of grass and earthy hops. Light body with grassy and citrus hop bitterness upfront and some malt presence with a slight bitter hop finish.
3.8 Bottle from Celebrations Carlisle. Golden copper pour with a small white fading head. Nice lacing left around the glass. Aromas of earthy grapefruit hops with hints of spices and sugary malts. Taste is a nice balance of grapefruit & grassy hops, bread malts, sugar and spices. Palate is left cleansed with a subtle dry bitterness. Actually really sessionable sitting on 5.5%.
2.8 Bomber->SA. Bottled 4/2012, bought 7/2013, a fact that I did not notice until after pouring, to my regret. Pours an orange/gold with frothy white head. A: subtle floral hops with malt. T: grains, slight fruit, very mild hops. Too long in the bottle.
3.8 Pours amber with a fading head. Nose shows piny, grapefruity hops along with some sweet light malt and soft apple/pear notes. Nice malt characters as flavours, some soft cookie dough notes amidst bold piny hop notes. Good moderate carbonation.
3.3 A rather nice looking beer - light copper with a moderate haze - highly effervescent, with a thick, well sustained head, about a finger or two thick - aroma is bursting with sweet tropical fruits (citrus, mango, papaya), but with a balancing, peppery and woody bitterness - creamy body, moderate carbonation - flavor is much drier than the aroma suggests - lightly bready, a light dusty yeast note - peppery and citric hol flavors accompany moderate bitterness from the middle through the finish - decent, but kind of a let down given the appearance and aroma.
3.2 Pours a hazy orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is earthy hops, damp and dank smelling. The taste is slightly off, there’s an astringent taste to it. It has that dirty hop taste with some bitter grapefruit. It’s not a terrible beer but I’m not a fan.
3.1 22oz bottle, thanks to Casey. Hazy amber color. Thin off-white head. Nice full sheets of lace. Bottled 5/2012... Shit. Tastes a bit old, but still not bad... Not malty sweet, like some IPAs can get at this age. Kind of a soapy hop flavor, though. Light citrus. Mild bitter, mild sweet taste. Medium body, kind of crisp carbonation. Lightly dry finish. OK... Shame it’s so old. Finished the whole bomber anyway.
