Clown Shoes Undead Party Crasher

Clown Shoes Undead Party Crasher

In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

3.4 can to glass; I rated lower than most - normal stout stuff but I think aroma was subdued. taste of stout with too harsh of hops on back end. sweetness was fine, palate is good - not sure I got coffee. not a great stout when so many others out there...
4.0 The aromas are sweet roasted vanilla, cocoa and black patent. Flavors are just like nose, sweet and vanilla dominate, with good carbonation to balance. Great body and finish. Super beer.
4.0 Pours black with brown head. Aroma: milk chocolate, malt, hints of caramel. Dried fruits, notes of vanilla. Great stout!
4.2 10% ABV- I sampled this a couple weeks after the Chocolate Sombrero. Even though this is higher in ABV%, the alcohol seems better hidden. Found this to have more flavor, such as richer chocolate malt, without the spices and excess smoke. As much as I love sweet stouts and chocolate malt, this was actually a bit too sweet, but still very drinkable and smooth for a 10-11%. Reminded me of a lighter version of DFH Worldwide Stout. I may buy another one of these to age a year or two...then re"vamp" things....no pun intended.
3.8 Very nice stout. Coffee with chocolate and dark fruits. Alcohol is present in the background. Well done!
3.8 Sample at Arizona Strong Beer Festival 2019. Black with a small tan head. A bit on the sweet side with chocolate, coffee, dark malt and light vanilla. The finish with notes of warming alcohol.
4.0 Motor oil black, mocha head, little lace. Nose is coffee and spice. Middle is espresso, blackened grain, mollassas, some roasted chocolate malt. Finish is warm and coffee laden.
4.0 22 oz bottle. Bottled on 06/14/17. 10%. Thanks Timo A! Enjoyed on Nov 16 2018. Black color with a small tan head. Cookies, sweet chocolate, roasted malt, mild soy, mild alcohol and dryness in the aroma. The flavor is roasted malt, licorice, dryness, soy, some saltiness, mild bitterness and mild alcohol. Complex. Enjoyable.
5.0 Amazing coffee notes. Blooms into an almost caramel latte type finish if you’re patient enough. Amazing beer.
4.1 Bottle. Color: Black, no head. Aroma: Dark roasted malt, earthy. Hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, booze and nuts. Taste: Dark roasted malt, notes of ash, charcoal and earth. Mocha coffee. Combined with decent hopbitterness, sweetish vanilla hints, notes of dark chocolate. Hints of nuts, booze, molasses, umami and subtle smoke. Nicely balanced, some complexity. Full body, below average carbonation. Long lasting bittery roasted finish. Very nice dark roasted Imperial Stout.
3.7 Botella. @Cimmeria, Oviedo 16/09/2018 Color negro corona de espuma beige escasa, aromas tostados, ligeros regaliz y dulce, sabor regaliz torrefacto, cuerpo medio.
4.0 Chocolate aroma, earth, malt, roasty, cocoa. Pitch black color with minimal sized brown head. Cocoa, chocolate and even more cocoa, roasted malt, bitterness, extremely drinkable, nicely rounded up. Medium body, soft carbonation.
3.9 Enormous imperial stout, viscous and stiff, with a chocolate liqueur warmth and tons of char to add depth. Anise, date, molasses, and espresso round out the profile, while the finish brings smoke, bitter chocolate, and booze. Verges on growing too sweet, but pulls back just enough to allow for a smoky, bourbon-ish fade. Pours pitch black with a beige head and thin layers of lace. Sludgy and thick, the way an imperial stout should be. Nice pint.

3.9 Near black, tan head. Big nose of roast mallesses, chocolate and coffee. Taste roasted malt, big mouthfeel.
4.2 A good Imperial Stout. No real chocolate or coffee, but a good imperial flavor.
3.4 Pours a very dark brown with a reddish tan head. Vinyl, chocolate, smoke, and bbq on the nose. Flavors are the same. Takes on a predominantly sweet taste. Pleasant mouthfeel.
3.9 [10199-20180302] Tap. Fragrant roasted raisins and whiskey red wine barrel aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy brown head and some lacing. Sweet candied raisins and taffy roasted fruitcake flavour. Full body is quite big and bold. Good. (7/4/8/4/16) 3.9 (@ The Cambrian Tap, Cardiff, Wales)
3.8 Pour is a motor oil black with a large tan head. Aroma is roasted and charred malt with a ever so slight smoke. Flavor is a huge roasted malt with some char and again the smoke is lingering in the backround. No alcohol is detected. As this warms there is a bigger smoke to the malt. This was a nice Impy stout, plenty of roast and char and the minor smoke flavor just adds that extra bit of umooph that was needed to put this over the top.
4.0 From a 440ml can on 2/5/2018 (ABV listed as 10.5%). Pours near black with a huge tan head. The nose features chocolate and a hint of caramel. Big and flavoursome in the mouth. Lots of sweet and dark chocolate, nuts, and tart berries, with a bit of soy in the mix. The bitterness is firm, dry, roasty and a touch smokey. The texture is slightly creamy and the carbonation moderate. A really solid, enjoyable impy.
3.7 Can, 10.5% ABV. Almost black with a small brown head. Roasty aroma with sweet mocha. Oily. Rich sweet mocha but hard roast, some acrid notes and strongish bitterness dry it out very effectively. Some dark berries. The flavours are good and I like the balance but I kept waiting for more complex things to emerge as it warmed, but no.
4.1 01/2016 bottling. Thanks, Jane! Pour pitch black, tan head. aroma is rich roasty malt, caramel, dark fruit (cherry bonnet from carvel), raisin, licorice, smoked malt. Flavor is chocolate, roasted malt, cherry, dark fruit, Smokey. Really full bodied, with a pronounced sweetness that is surprisingly very good. 8/4/8/4/17.
4.0 Bottle, 650 ml, from Beer Republic. Shared with others. Black, light brown head. Cocoa, coffee, chocolate, sweet, vanilla, more cocoa, bitter finish. Smooth. Medium bodied.
4.0 2018-03-02. Black body, modest creamy brown head. Aroma is relatively mild, dark fruit, light dark malt and dusty roast. Subtle. 7++ Flavour is rich, mild alcohol and bitterness up front, moderate roast and bitterness grows as you go. Medium to full bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Feels a bit simple at first but it's surprisingly subtle and well balanced for such a big beer. 7-8/4-5/8/4-5/16++ On tap at The Cambrian Tap, Cardiff.

3.4 1 Pint can. Scents of coffee licorice alcohol and malt. Pours a black brown with a big frothy brown head with lots of lacing. Tastes of coffee, smoke, licorice and chalk. Slick mouthfeel. Balance of bitter and malt masks alcohol. Well made beer but overpriced.
3.7 Tap at yard house work happy hour why is every seasonal at yard house over 10%? Anyways dark pour. Nose is roasted malt and dark chocolate. Tastes of bitter dark chocolate, roast, dark chocolate, walnut skin, and umami. Hides booze well.
3.9 Pours thick black with thin, dark head. Aroma is smoke, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is chocolate and caramel, opening to a woody roast and a smooth chocolate finish. A very tasty stout.
4.0 Bottle from Elie. Many thanks! Thick black beer with lots of creamy dark brown foam. Nose of roasted malts, light smoke, coffee, sweet caramel. Taste is roasty, light sweet and roasty bitter. Good Imperial Stout.
