3.3 Ruddy amber pour, nice foamy tan head. Malty aroma, of caramel, yams, nuts and barley. Taste follows, sweet and earthy. Really not that bad.
2.6 330ml bottle. Heavy with malty notes, some sweetness, hints of sweet potato and pumpkin notes. Meh.
3.3 Fiery red with an average fleeting foam. Soft aromas, malt and potato, date and dried fig, caramel. Taste is soft, a little weak, with potato, caramel-molasses, fortified wine and a slight earthy bitter. Nice spiced.
3.0 0.333l bottle. Clear brown color with medium beige hat on top, stays. Light rotten vegetable and lemon peel aroma. Caramel, beet, alcohol taste. Cereal and alcohol mouthfeel. Little bubbles also.
3.8 I have purchased this beer, at más que cervezas, at Madrid. Drinking and savouring this bottle, at home, in Epalinges, during the last sunday, during our tacos meal, at the night. It is only my view but I think that this beer is underrated, I have found this beverage interesting and tasteful. The color is brown, troubled with an average carbonation white and brown foam. The taste is smooth, the potato gives for sure this side that it is smooth, malty, rather sweet at the palate, fruity, classical hoo at the hop, in the way of an amber beer, well brewed.
3.0 06-MAR-2020, draft @People Like Us Festival. Clear amber with a lasting, white head. Bitter, thin, lively carbonation. Old School hops. Boring.
3.5 33cl bottle at Yume Ramen, Rimini, Italy. Pours deep amber, almost red, with very fine white foam. Aroma is with shuttle earthy tones and some malt. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is moderate sweet, with a subtle bitterness to balance everything. Final is average.
3.2 Bottled 330ml. -at Giappo Sushi Bar Naples Airport. Amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, light vegetables and whiff of spices in the nose. Sweet malty, vegetables, notes of potatoes and light grain with mild spicy notes in the finish.
3.6 333ml bottle from Amathus, Soho, London. Reddish / dark amber colour with white head. Malty, sweet potato, brown sugar, red apple, brown bread, toffee, caramel, grassy, light cola (?) aspects, light hop finish. Super drinkable for abv. Kinda underrated on here, weird and good. Maybe sweet potato should be the next big trend in beer.
2.8 Beautiful golden syrup in colour. Moderate amount of spice, well balanced sweetness and bitterness. Light and tasty.
3.4 Bottle at Riga Airport. Hazy ruby coloured with a small off-white head. Malty aroma of caramel, hops and pine needles with notes of dried fruits. Malty flavour of caramel, hops, hay and pine needles. Hoppy finish.
3.4 Dark copper color, hazy, tan beer head with frothy, thin, creamy foam. Low persistence, sparkling body. Great malty odors such as caramel, toffee, and bread. Clear sweet potato and slightly ginger hint in the aroma. high sweetness, medium-low bitterness, medium carbonation, medium-high body. the taste is intensive on the malt characters, and the viscosity is high. The performance of Hop is reminiscent in the aftertaste, kind of woody, herbal and spices. The drinkability of this beer is Pretty Good.
3.3 33,3cl flesje via Hopt Alcoholpercentage van 7% Uitgeschonken in Jopen glas Uiterlijk: amberkleurig met goede witte schuimkraag Aroma en smaak: neus is zoet rijp fruit, smaak is hoppig, zoete aardappel, mout, karamel Conclusie: geen verkeerd biertje
3.5 0,333l bottle shared with wiosna @ Washoku Story. Pours clear deep amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts. Flavor is sweet malts, a hint of sweet potato, hops. Nice.
3.5 From the bottle. Now refers to itself as an Imperial Sweet Potato Amber, which I suppose does come off more interesting than the old „Lager“ label. Color is light red. A thin, frothy head lingers. Aroma promises an oncoming sweetness, more caramel than sweet potato, with just a hint of berries. Taste is sweet and overall quite earthy. Body is mealy, starchy, with a restrained carbonation. Warming at the end, which carries the promised sweet potato flavor. Interesting and not bad.
3.3 I like this beer. It’s heavy alcohol doesn’t come off as boozy. Big beer but deep caraamber maltiness works well at balancing this brew feeling of berries and sweet breads. I’ve been a fan of Coedo and this offering. I’m enjoying it again now. Dark reddish brown color and great lacing make it an impressive and enjoyable beer. Good.
3.2 33 cl. bottle shared with Hilde and Suus @ Alex and Suus. Clear crimson with a thin white head. Caramel aroma with some hops. Taste is sweet with some hopbitterness. Smooth and easy drinker.
3.3 Clear brown. Aroma is herbal hops, some caramel, maybe even sweet potato, almond. Taste is sweet herbal juices with a very oily and nutty character. Could be more drinkable. Still Ok.
3.2 Bottle. Hazy brown color with white head. Aroma is sweet potato indeed, caramel, interesting. Taste is sweet potato, caramel, light berry skin. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Fun!
2.8 Robe brun pas trop sombre, bien trouble. Mousse moyenne éphémère, reste un disque. Carbo moyenne. Etrange.
3.3 On tap at Pudel. Pours dark amber colour. Moderate beige head. Sweet, caramelly, malty aroma. Caramelly, malty taste. Caramelly, bit sweet aftertaste. Quite simple, bit sweet, but quite good lager.
3.3 Tap at Pudel. Clear dark reddish-brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty, caramelly, bit roasty. Taste is malty, bit roasty, sweet-bitter. Medium body, average carbonation. Okish
3.7 12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a small white head. A big sweet malts nose, caramel. Sweet, toffee, more caramel, the clear sweet potato is earthy, starch. Smooth, a bit decadent. Easy drinking.
3.2 Pour draft in Kawagoe, Japan. Appearance, clear with no haze dark amber with an inch of foamy head, good retention, small bubble coming from bottom. Aroma, smell roasted malt, little yeast like bread with no significant hop aroma perseived Taste, found very little sourness, little sweet, little alcohol, umami and light to moderate bitterness after swallow Mouthfeel, found light body with moderate to high carbonation, little sticy, bitter after taste Overall, easy to drink amber lager with malt dominant characteristics
3.1 Pours hazy copper, a finger of off-white head and quite nice lacing. Aroma of caramel and sweet malts. Tastes medium sweet and malty, caramel, sweet potato fruitiness, ripe fruits. Medium-light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, long finish. I had this ale 3 years ago and frankly I didn't have a great memory of it, but it's actually alright, although not a memorable one (hence, I had forgotten it!)
