3.4 A bottle I picked up from Antenna America. It poured a cloudy gold with a thick white head. The aroma was fruity with possibly a hint of grapes? The taste is spicy, with ginger and hints of other spices. It is really easy to drink and a nice beer for people who don’t like lagers like myself. Pretty good, I think I’ll get it again so my wife can try it...
3.0 Aroma of yeast, grain, and spice, with notes of citrus. Pours a light yellow with a foamy, mostly diminishing, white head and no lacing. The taste begins with a slight fruity sweetness, with a grainy middle, and a light peppery/spices finish. Medium body with light fizzy carbonation. Overall, not bad, but nothing to write home about either. An enjoyable summer session beer.
3.1 This beer was okay, like a very herbal lager I suppose. The aroma is dank hops and maybe some lemon pepper... very light overall. It tastes semi-sweet and malty, but with more lemon and wheat flavors with some nice hop bitterness in the finish. Not really too complex and just enough flavor to be good.
4.0 The spices worked on this for me and it had a good cloudy appearance. Easy to drink.
3.6 Bottle. Cloudy yellow color. Huge foamy head that lasts but fads. Smell Is lemon, spice And herb. Some asparagus and vegetable aftertaste. I like it
3.3 From 355 ml bottle. It poured a clear orange-amber with a tiny white head. Ginger, lime, pepper and a vegetal note (cabbage?) came through on the nose. The taste started out with some citrus zest, followed up by a gentle hop bitterness, with some ginger beer and a bit of coriander. Light bodied and refreshing as a lager should be, but I’m not sure everything really worked together. This one was a bit odd, but still not too bad.
2.3 (bottle - STLCOB tasting) cloudy light gold. Spice aroma. Flavor was some malt and weird spices (? bay leaf). Not my thing.
2.8 On tap at Global Brew. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a thin white head that produces some lace. Not much aroma. I don’t mean this in a negative way, but the best way to describe the taste is this. It’s like a standard American macro beer that has been mixed with unsweetened lemon juice. It’s kind of bland and inoffensive with a noticable lemon citrus sourness which becomes a little rough on the back of the throat after a while. Meh.
3.8 At underroom temp, Aroma of cereal, herbs and clove. poured a clear golden color. Tast was intresting and balanced including a medium sweet with liquerish and wonderful spicing. Light at first touch with a pleasant long oily finish, light carbonation.
2.6 Citrus and a tart odd flatness. Not really my thing but interesting as a style.
2.2 Aroma: fruity, spicy, hint of fennel, Appearance: almost transparent golden color, minimal head Taste: licorice initially and in the aftertaste, could be a bitter and spicy hop Palate: dry aftertaste, bit of creaminess on the tongue Overall: weird spice in this one. I don't think I particularly care for it but I might need another one to be sure
2.3 ...sampled at dark arts beer fest. Yellow, with small head that dissipates rapidly. Not really a wheat, with light watery taste with some hints of spice. Weak.
3.0 271012. Tap at flying saucer, fort worth tx. Pours clear golden with a snall head. Aroma licorice, bwlgian yeast. Strange candy like taste.
2.6 12 oz bottle pours amber with a white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, spices and grain. Taste is sweet malt and spices.
2.9 Had this in the bottle, poured into a pint glass in Houston, TX. White ale with an aroma of hops and malts; spice and citrus on the taste buds.
2.7 Draft at sb. Pours a cloudy medium gold. No head. Weak pickle-y nose. Watery flat light body. Pickle-y mid palate. Kind of a mess...only clear quality is pickle juice.
2.4 Not bad. Decent malt character, some citrus and cloves. Maybe too phenolic, same off flavors present here as in their pilsner.
3.1 Wheat and spices on nose hazy amber pour. Spices and orange on taste. Some yeast. Dies early on palate. But nice nonetheless.
3.5 Location: Draft at "On Tap" - Whole Foods - Columbus Circle, 9/21/11 Aroma: The nose has hops, malts, a good amount of spice, and some citrus Appearance: Pours a clear golden color with a lasting, thick, creamy white head Flavor: Taste is malty, medium sweet, with some spice and citrus hops to it Palate: The body of this beer is medium, it has a soft carbonation, and a smooth, creamy feel Overall Impression: This one was a pretty solid, quite quaffable, and better then I expected. This was a very solid beer from Coney Island, and one it was about time I tried.
2.8 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is wheat and clove. Medium mouthfel with a light citrus and wheat flavor with light spice finish. A decent spice brew from coney island.
2.4 This beer had a golden color with a bit a white head. It is pretty mildly flavored. It has good taste and finishes with little aftertaste.
2.4 Hazy yellow with a vanishing 2 inch white head. Light fruity and spicy aroma. Flavor is spicy like ginger and licorice. The taste is mainly licorice (or anise if you’re a snob). The body is wet, thin, quick, and dry.
2.9 This style works better as an ale than a lager. The spicing come across as slightly unpleasant and is the only significant aspect.
3.1 12 oz bottle from the sampler case. The label is freaking me out. Nothing here is outstanding and overall it’s drier than I like. This must be the runt of the case.
2.8 Very much so meh....just a boriong spiced brew. Not liking the spice combination at all, a bit of cinnamon, cloves and a hint of coriander. Not great tasting overall though.
2.5 Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma has an odd anise, some herbal notes, faint hint of citrus. Flavor is odd as well, similar to aroma with a light malt presence, hints of grass and weeds as well. Light body, high carbonation. Overall, nothing I desire to have again.
3.0 Pours a pale cloudy yellow. Aroma of lemon and other citrus. Taste is lemon lime with a sharp earthy biterness end clean and has a light mouthfeel.
3.1 Draft at chips obx. Poured a cloudy yellowish color. Aroma of some lemon zest. Medium sweetness. Slghtly sour finish. Definiety a summer drinking beer.
2.2 WAH! Pours a light golden color with an overbearing head to it. Has a strong and powerful spice aroma to it which unfortunately carries over into the beer. It’s like someone dumped several of the sweeter baking spices into my beer.
