3.7 Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie consumed at home Tuesday 6th December 2016 Pours mid gold, there is a haziness to this, a large frothy white head sits atop. Sweet and spicy, some honey, really soft carbonation, smooth. There is a fruitiness, spicy bitterness. I like it. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7
2.6 330ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber, large white head. Aroma is light sweet yeast. Taste is perhaps light in tripel yeast flavours, some herbal notes, pillowy smooth mouthfeel. Bit overly soft and lacks a good yeasty punch. Poor tripel.
2.5 Hazy blond colour. Lots of fresh, raw malts in the aroma. Flavour is quite bland. Very light yeastiness. Bitter (almost stale) in the finish.
3.5 330 ml bottle pours out a wheat color topped with a white head. Nose is sweet malts some fruit notes apple lemon and a little bit of spice. Taste is more of the cereal grain note some sweetness a little fruit and a nice belg yeast.
2.7 Sampled @ Zythos Bierfestival 2015 Klare blasse goldgelbe Farbe, geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht hopfig, getreidig malzig. Geschmack ist der gleiche!
2.6 Süßlich herber Beginn, mild herb. Süßlich bleibend, süffig, rund. Trinkbar. 9/8/9/8//8
3.1 330mL bottle from International Beer Collector BB 20/06/2016 Bright orange body with uniform haze, Holds a small but creamy white head. Restrained aroma; sweet malts, white sugar, faint peppery esters. Full body, creamy texture & carbonation, some boozy warmth. Sweetness continues on the body - white sugar, cereals, pale toffee, with spicy, peppery phenolics. Finish is a slight bit astringent, with a relatively high bitterness & warming booze. Below par sort of Tripel - whilst not bad, it’s somewhat unbalanced.
3.2 Winter tripel with a creamy, yellowish white, regular head and cloudy yellowish peach blonde colour. Malty and dried fruity aroma, apple, apricot, dry yeastiness, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Ordinary but well-balanced tripel.
3.6 Bottle 0.33l from De Hopduvel beer shop Ghent Belgium.Pour it orange color with small white head.Taste and aroma of citrus,Belgian yeast, sweet.Little bit classic taste.
2.5 Flaske, 33 cl. Krydret, astringerende, fyldig, alkoholisk. Belgisk med belgisk på. Not my cup of beer.
3.1 Bottle. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, fruits, caramel and light malt. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.
3.5 Bottle thnx to the brewer . Pours very clear blonde, small white head . Smell is dry grainy, bit bitter . Taste is bitter , sharp , dry sweet, malty back . Balanced, intense taste, perfect carbo . Nothing to unusual , ’just’ a well-made tripel .
3.3 Hazy golden colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Medium sweet taste with aroma of apricot and some banana. Light bitter finish. A bit watery but easy drinkable.
3.9 33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. Hazy orange, uneven creamy white head. Esters, perfume, candy sugar, alcohol, faint bitter herbal flower. Sweet sugar, marmalade, orange rind, candy sugar, light honey, plenty of perfume, flower, light faint flower / herbal hops in the back. Candy sugar & orange rind body. Pretty simple, lacking nuances, taste is lots of candy sugar mainly but quite enjoyable all the same.
3.5 Bottle at home. APPEARANCE: light clouded blond beer, nice stable white head. NOSE: grains, hops, fruity. TASTE: hops, fruity.
3.1 bottle, 33cl at home. Rather typical tripel with lack of character. Compared to Valeir extra and Valeir blond, somehow disappointing.
3.4 Light amber in colour, has quite a bit of sediment floating around. Definite Belgian aroma of stone fruits and bath salts. Alcohol is noticeable but not hot or fusel.
3.6 Clear amber pour with noticeable sediment. Big white head. Musty yeast aroma, bananas and pineapples and strong pepper. Tastes like a yeasty single belgian ale. Alcohol is well hidden. Flavor is relatively mild pugent barley. A good inoffensive (not overly alcoholic or yeasty) trippel can be hard to find. This fits the bill.
3.3 Bottle, many thanks to bartlebier. Golden color with thick white head. Sweet malt, honey, Belgian yeast in aroma. Taste, sweet malt, some fruits. Alcohol is well hidden. Aroma is more promising than taste, but overall drinkable beer.
3.2 Bottle. Hazy light yellow pour with a finger of head. Apricot, plum, floral, white spice. Good spicy bubble, sweet, dry bitter finish. Simple but good
2.1 33 cl bottle from de hopduvel in Ghent. Clear golden body with large white head. There is something strange with the aroma of this beer. Not good. But the taste seems to be ok *
3.4 33cl - Closer of the Valeir tasting range, March 2013. - Very much like a triple-bodied or less ascetic version of a traditional Duvel, with all its complex estery dryness, lively carbonation, but added fruit&yeast sweetness. Some alcohol apparent, this could do with 0.5-1% less and still be tasty enough. Lacks some punch to revive my interest for this style.
3.5 Bottle. Pours lightly hazy straw yellow with a medium to large, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is pear and grape fruity esters, peppery and spicy Belgian yeast, light earthy and spicy hops with notes of Belgian candi sugar.. Flavor is dry and crisp Pils malt, Belgian candi sugar, fermentation derived fruity esters, light hops and bitterness with peppery and spicy alcohol and a dry finish. Full body and moderate carbonation.
3.6 Aroma is grainy malts, spices and a small hint of cool-aid. The flavor is spicy yeast, grainy malts, an undertone of sweetness and tart/tangy finish.
3.1 33cl Bottle from ABS Drinks Winksele. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of sweet ripe white fruits, red apples, melted butter (in a good way), alcohol, light spicy. Flavour is medium sweet, fruity, alcohol, light spicy, some green apples, light bitter finish. Medium-bodied at best, over-carbonated. Very mediochre.
