3.6 The body has a good golden yellow hue with good clarity and a bright white head on top. This loosely packed head fades fast and leaves only a ring of foam around the edge of the glass. The aroma is simple and light. It has just a moderate nose of light grain and husk with faint hops in the background. Its flavor is mostly of light grain, plain biscuits and grassy hops that give it a good balance of bitterness and a crisp clean finish. On the tongue this light bodied beer has a light, crisp, and refreshing well carbonated feel.
3.7 This is definitely a quite good at the very least, the taste is definitely clean & has a palate that reminds me of when all bears were clean & pure. One thing ive noticed USA voters dont like it, not surprising though
3.1 Good well rounded above average aussie lager but a little too high on the carbonation to be a session beer but nice to have with lunch on a hot day. Actually heaper at the local than your mainstream macros like 4x VB tooheys etc so my rating takes that into account
2.1 Pours gold with a fading head. Nose shows hay, sweet light malt, vegetal characters and bready notes. Similar flavours, more hay and sweet light malt with cooked vegetable notes. Carbonation could really be higher.
1.9 Was looking forward to this one as I tried most of their renowned ales and loved them, still do. Needless to say, I think they need to stick to ale. This is just water and malt. Made me feel a bit sick after it, couldn’t drink another.
2.3 bottle. Golden with one finger head. Above normal carbonation. Lightly sweet. Pretty bland lager with marginal flavor.
1.3 Another sweet watered down beer...very boring once again. Nothing new here.
2.7 375ml brown bottle. Pale yellow, lots of carbonation bubbles rushing through. Small white cap with surprisngly good retention. Nose has some sweet malt and grain. Clean tasting, a bit of grain, mild sweetness, faint grass. Dry finish/ Light bodied, pretty fizzy. Pretty simple beer, good for the style. Easy drinker, no flaws, but not very exciting either.
2.1 12.7 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear golden with hardly and head, moderate lacing. Mild aroma of malts and grain. Taste is consistent, very sweet, a bit watery. Not great but it is a nice lager easy to drink, refreshing finish.
2.6 Was a little suprised by this one - a lager that actually had flavour. Probably why people don’t rate it too well. Poured an amber-orange with a white head that went somewhere rather quickly. Aroma light malt with a metalic twang. Good bold malty taste with a touch of bitter dried orange peel. Much stronger flavour than I was expecting for a lager, and still has traces of that coopers classic flavour. Palate thin but good carbonation makes it appear medium. Moderate long dry finish. If only lagers were on offer, I would choose this over all others I have tried so far.
2.2 ~12oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours golden with an off-white head. Aroma of pale and lightly toasted malts plus a little hops. Flavor the same. Average to light texture. A decent pale lager.
2.5 Bottle- Pours a pale golden color with a small head that fades to no real lacing. Mild aroma of malt sweetness and grain. not bad, just a bit bland. Taste of some malt sweetness and grain. There is a mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Light body, low carbonation, pretty boring. Not a bad beer, just reminds me of a typical Euro Lager. Non-offensive, probably best on a hot summer day.
1.9 375ml bottle. Nothing superior about it. Just your ordinary lager, Bland and wet.
2.1 375ml bottle. Crystal clear light golden pour with a frothy white head that disappears sort of quick and leaves a little lace. Very light nose that has a grainy, lemony quality with an almost sweet edge. Tastes mostly like semi-sweet water with a drop of lemon and a dry blade of hay or two in it. If it wasn’t so prickly with the bubbles you could pound this stuff like water.
0.6 congrats at being able to fill a bottle with dog piss. had this on my recent road trip cross country and almost vomited when I saw a pic of it on my phone. This was the first time in my life I sent a beer back. Bartendar wasnt surprised and apologized not knowing why it is on tap and why she didnt stop me in the first place. I would rather drink liquid crap, oh wait, I did....palate gets a 3 because I did get indeed get a sharp taste...gross
0.8 Pours like a urine sample, flat with no taste .....watery. Nothing else to say, leave it for the lager lovers.
1.3 Another bad and light lager. Appearance is clear gold, taste is sweet, watery and bland, not much flavor or finish either.
1.7 bottled. lets the side down a bit, this one. just yellow, fizzy, industrial stuff with a coopers logo on the label
2.3 Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, cereal and grainy malt. Flavor is much the same with some caramel notes thrown in the mix
2.2 From a 375ml bottle on 13/11/2011. Pours a pale yellow golden with little head. Has an unremarkable grainy aroma typical of pale lagers. There’s nothing particularly notable in the flavour, though it’s a bit maltier than the typical Oz lager. Finishes with a moderate hop bitterness. A slightly above average lager but still generically dull.
2.2 Clear gold, high carbonation and a fluffy white head. Wheaty aroma. Light, watery wheat taste. Standard run of the mill mass produced lager.
1.7 12oz bottle. Left behind from a party over the weekend. Haven’t ticked this one so I thought I’d give it a try. Nothing really stands out. Very similar to every other generic lager I’ve tried. Bland taste and aroma.
1.9 Malty scent and flavour. Typical lager, nothing else noteworthy about it at all.
2.9 pale golden color with small white head and little lacing, decent with malt and floral hops, but a little thin in the body.
3.2 The aroma is very beery and grainy and the appearance is gold and clear. The flavor is basic pale lager and again very beery. Not really groundbreaking but the graininess gives it an edge that makes it decent although far from unique.
2.6 Pale Lager month installment number 10: I suppose in a pinch one might be able to drink this after chopping wood. Pours golden with a big slightly loose fluffy white head that leaves a nice lace on the glass. The aroma is wet grain and some old vegetables at first, some corn flakes work their way into prominence quickly. The flavor is much nicer, while metallic up front the beer presents the malt nicely while leaving the cornflake character to the aroma. The beer far from sweet and displays a great fruity hop character throughout. Some mineral flavors work well with the more geraniall and herbal hop characters in the finish. It’s a beer I could drink another of.
2.5 12.7 oz bottle into lager glass. Pours a clear gold with a small collapsing white head; leaves a blanket and collar of foam. Aroma is faintly spicy, carasmelly, custard (?). Taste is caramel sweet--not too overbearing--and faintly bitter in the finish. Highly carbonated with a medium-thin body and dry mouthfeel. Just okay. Re-rate: I really started getting sick of this by the end of the glass. It started to get cloying. This thing could use some hops.
2.5 Mostly a crap beer but the all-malt makes its presence felt. The malt brings a hardness to the flavours that does add some character. There’s also a grassy farmyard pilsner character as well. Ok, maybe not that crap but not a beer you’d look at again.
3.4 Pours a nice yellow gold. Oder of straw. Active carbonation. Nice light pilsner with a clean crisp finish. A bit of a cidery aftertaste.
2.2 Standard stuff. It is a pale lager with a hint of hops and malt. Not the worst but not special.
