2.2 Can @ Presidential Suite. Thanks, Pussy Pete. Pale golden colored beer with minimal white foam. Smells like a swimming pool. Watery, slight grain/cereal sweetness, and apple. Maybe some pear. Flavor is just kind of sweet and grainy. Cereal, corn, and mild fruity esters. As with the nose, rather watery. Not offensive, but I really did not like this.
2.0 12 oz. can shared by NielsenRatings, or TwoSipDip, at RBSG’s Friday night hotel bottle share. Thanks, pal. Pours a pale gold with a white head. Pale and sweet malts, minerals...not much else. Light-bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Fine for what it is.
2.3 Can. Not terrible, especially when cold. Some malt and mild hops, somewhat sweet, moderate carbonation and mild body. Thanks to adneilson and krampus.
2.0 Can. RBSG. Pours yellow with white head. Nose/taste of corn, tin. Light bodied.
2.4 Bottle shared at RBSG. Pours a golden color with white head. Grainy, straw, hay flavors. As good or better than Coors Banquet. Reminds me of living in Golden.
1.0 Can. Jut as poor as the regular coors, albeit this can seemed a bit strongerin the malt character and better.
2.5 This is slightly sweet but still crisp so I guess it does a pretty good job of being what it is. It is really not as good as regular Coors though but bear in mind that I think regular Coors is amazing. I think my sample might have been a bit old but who knows anything these days.
2.7 Taster from a can at RBSG hotel room. I missed the memo that this was going to be a malt likka thing, but yolo. Clear golden color. Minimal bubbly white head. Bready malt, light pepper. Not much else. Moderate sweet taste, light spicy. Medium body. Smooth, kind of lighter carbonation, more dry finish. OK stuff... Not bad... sue me...
3.5 12oz can from the liquor store up the street, poured into a pint glass. Nice golden pour, really lives up to the name. Creamy white head at first that quickly fades to nothing. Aroma of metal, corn, cereal, a bit of grass. Taste is pretty nice. Grass, cereal, light bitterness, lots of flavor. Really easy drinking.
2.0 12oz bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a clear golden with a big white head. Aroma of grains, sweetness, and slight hops. Taste of the same with more sweetness and hops. This light bodied brew is not bad at all.
3.0 Super fresh can thanks to NielsenRatings197. Drank from the can. Nose of cold metal, hay, and summer grass. A very weird, sweetness that is slightly toffee like. A medium full mouthfeel with some lightly toasted quality. Not horrible, and I bet if this were a non macro lager, it wouldn’t get that much hate. Honestly reminds me of a GL Dortmunder without the mineral character.
3.5 12oz can thanks to aaaaaaron"I POUR FUCKEN BUS" n!elsen. Thanks, brospehini!! Pours a nice clean, clear gold with a large white head that lasts a while. Aromas of some light hops, cereal grains. Taste is crisp and clean upfront with a nice clean slightly hopped finish. Very clean. A touch on the sweet side is the only detracting factor. Very good.
2.1 Fucken can @ home, picked up at some podunk liquor store in Fort Collins. Been wanting to get this tick for a while and I finally pulled the trigger when I found a sixer for $4.19. Typical clear golden appearance with a huge fizzy white head. Aroma is actually pretty grainy, a touch of toast, light bubblegum, and lemon. Fairly full body. Cracker, honey, toasted grainy, somewhat sweet, light candy flavor. Even though it was really fizzy to begin with, the carbonation seems a bit dull. A little fuller than most macro pale lagers but the flavor isn’t anything too enjoyable.
2.7 Pale brown color. A pretty smooth lager, lacks the nasty bite after each sip that distinguishes a crummy usual suspect pale.
2.6 I remember having this after the brewery tour and I thought it tasted pretty good. But that was back then.
3.1 Appearance: pours a 1" fluffy white head which recedes moderately. There is a moderate amount of lacing. Beer is a deep golden color with noticeable streaming carbonation. Aroma: roasted barley, corn husks, clean water and a bit of hop aroma. Mouthfeel: light and crisp. This brew goes down easily and finish is quite dry. Flavor: pleasant taste of toasted bread crust, a bit of buttery toffee, some corn sweetness. There is a mild hop bitterness in the finish and aftertaste.
2.1 Okay American beer. As good as or better than most mass produced American beers such as Bud, Miller, etc. And at a much lower price!
2.3 Can. Poured light yellow minimal head. Meh aromas. Smooth corn taste. Meh not good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
5.0 A Christmas present from the girlfriends dad, so it gets a 5. Merry Christmas!
4.1 Extra Gold Lager has a thick, white, marshmallow-type head, a clear, deep gold, bubbly appearance, and lots of lacing rings left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet & sour roasted barley malt and other grains. Taste is of sweet, funky grain, a touch of hops, and it has a moderate roastiness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Extra Gold Lager finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, dry, and highly drinkable. Overall, this just might be the best American-style adjunct lager on the market! Oh, yeah! RJT
1.5 12oz can from trukpro Appearance: Pours clear straw golden, small white head and no lacing Aroma and taste of corn, sweet malts, grainy and honey Not a fan of coors and this is reminds me why.
3.2 Kent Prrbek is really being annoying right now, so I think it’s time to head to bold flavor town. Got this from trukpro, and man have I been looking forward to opening this! Can. Shimmering golden color with a small, fluffy, white head. Plenty of carbonation. Sweet aroma with corn, grains, and a slight grass character. A touch sweeter than I’d like, but still pretty solid. The taste is where this is at. Bold grains, corn, and a touch of sweetness. Definitely worth getting a chance to try this. Pretty hefty carbonation. This would be a great summer beer, or just something you could drink a thousand of in a night.
1.2 You forget how bad these are after a while. I had it with a Bud to compare and they were both bad but this a little less bad. The pale color, stale aroma, sweet corn taste. Stick with the good stuff.
1.7 Not horrible, but not good either. I liked the caramel malt sweetness of the beer. As far as pale lagers go, it’s average, but for being a mass produced beer it has it’s value.
2.2 Golden color with a thin white head. Kind of sweet with a dry finish. OK for a cheap beer.
2.0 Has a light golden color. Smell is mild, some grains. Taste is also mild, some corn and grains, not paticularly pleasant. Overall a beer best avoided.
2.6 12oz can-pours yellow with a foamy offwhite head. Aroma is grain, some spice. Taste is sweet grain, some spice hops.
1.6 12 oz bottle pours deep golden color with a white head. Typical lager beer malt and grains. Not much else
1.5 this tastes exactly like coors only a little bit shittier. it has that coors breadiness flavour, but with more ’character’ (or is that bullshit?). there really isn’t anything wrong with this beer, but that doesn’t mean that there’s everything awesome about it either. it’s okay for drinking a lot of. but if extra gold is to coors as busch is to budweiser, then busch is WAAYYYY motherfucking better. no real reason to buy this unless it’s a sweet deal on a DIRTY THIRTY.
1.3 From the can at GABF. For shits and giggles. Pours extra gold with some head. Nose is sweet and grainy. Really seems akin to a malt liquor. Sweet on the palate and not really pleasant. Scroll past.
