2.8 Cask at the haymarket. Pours clear piss golden, nose is floral, toffee, taste is quite sweet and thin.
2.8 Cask at the Clachan, London, served in a glass tankard. Hazy yellow, still, small vague attempt at a head. Nothing in the aroma. Body is medium, smooth, no real carbonation. Taste is thin and watery, suggestions of citrus (like over-diluted squash), background floral, soft bitterness builds over time. Pretty plain.
3.3 Cask at the Railway, Richmond. Pale gold with a lasting fine white head, golden malty nose, dry-bitter and lightly fruity, with apple and floral hints.
3.3 *Old rating from 2010. Golden and malty ale. Fresh, easy to drink, nice golden ale!
2.9 Cask at the Duck in the Pond (Ember Inns), Harrow. Pale gold with a thin white head. Sweet lemon and melon are nice upfront but fade quickly and leave little in the aftertaste. Slightly dry finish but needs to be a lot crisper and with a few more hops- what?s there is pleasant enough but there?s not enough of it.
3.4 15th November 2014 Very light haze on this paleish gold beer. Bubbly white head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Light clean malts, light floralness. Very light citrus. A mild floral sweetness runs throughout. Crisp finish. It’s all very light and fluffy, but it works! Refreshing,
3.1 Clear pale gold. Small creamy tan head. Minimal grain aroma. Light body. Slightly sweet, malty, mineral. Pleasant.
1.8 500ml bottle from a farm shop near Scarborough, on recommendation of the butcher in said farm shop. Pours clear gold with minimal bubbly head. No discernible aroma. Taste is bland, unremarkable and weak with very light fruits.
1.5 it is just a average pale was quite disappointed to be fair much better on the market than this pale, golden, clear, minimal head, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, flat,
2.0 Taste very ordinary to me. Maybe I missing something but doesn't taste as described.
1.4 ipa aromas. pale gold tastes like a weak watery sweet ipa and that my friends is the best i can say about it.
3.3 Fine but not particually distinctive. Very main stream, lacks a hoppy or fruity taste but perfectly drinkable
3.1 Cask - golden with a creamy white head; good lacing and retention. Aroma of grass, fruit, malt and a hint of smoke. Taste is fruits with some spice and a bitter end.
3.8 Consistently good wether in bottles or from the barrel. Really well balanced and refreshing without being at all citrusy. A light hoppy beer of choice for me.
2.8 Aroma: light malts, hay, straw. Appearance: light pale clear gold, medium creamy white head. Taste: light bitter and sweet. Palate: light bitters intensify, light body, somewhat dry towards the average-long finish. Overall: OK Golden Ale, bit boring. Pint at The Elleray, Windermere.
2.5 Golden beer, medium carbonation. A little oily on the palate. Slight caramel aroma, grassy, citrus and peppery hops, bit of a doughy finish. All right, nothing special.
3.2 Very pale yellow colour with a slim and frothy white head. Lemon citrus fruit and light hoppy aroma. Fruity taste of grapefruit and lemon.
3.3 Drunk from 50 cl bottle. Golden ale, hoppy and full of flavour.
3.4 Cask pint (several of them) at The Dun Cow, Durham. Really light gold. Subtle citrus nose: lemon and light herb. Light digestive biscuit in the taste, subtle lemon, a touch of earthy herbs. Very clean. Fairly thin. So sinkable. This was in great condition last night, really solid session blonde.
2.7 Cask west riding leeds. Clear straw colour thin white ring for a head around glass. Light citrus floral nose Taste weak citrus malts. Tjin watery body. Nothing to write home about!.
2.0 Straw coloured beer with a white head. No aroma and justa slight hoppy flavour. I have no idea why this beer seems to be so popular. it has very little flavour and feels like drinking a pint of flat lager. Poor.
2.9 Cask at Nicholson’s pub canary wharf. Pale golden colour with a loose white head. Aroma is subtle grainy malt, and cider apple notes. Flavour is pale malt, light biscuit assertive grassy bitterness. Again some apple notes in the flavour.
1.6 Extremely thin, like water, bitter, dry finish, with slight citrus taste. Not too bad but wouldn't have again. --- Rated!
3.4 From tap. Not a big fan of blond ales, but this was like little IPA in a way. Very pale and clear almost no head, but that’s alright for English ale. Aroma was fresh bit like American hops been added, but as I found out pure English beer. Not a fun of no carbonation in England, but in this case fits well. Also refreshment in this drink just made my day. Very drinkable and light.
2.8 Cask at the Feathers, Westminster, 03/10/13. Clear pale blonde with a thin white covering. Nose is orchard fruits, cereals, apple skins, light caramel. Taste comprises light citrus, grass, toasty malts, green apple. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with light grassy bitterness. So so GB affair.
3.2 Bottle at cardinal Beer Hunter Movie. Light sweet hop and malt aroma. Golden colour with a fluffy head. Weak taste of hops and kind malts. Guess an ok golden ale
3.4 Cask at The Fighting Cock, Bradford, September 2013. Clear pale golden with a foamy white head. Fruity aroma: citrus, prickly pear. Tastes grainy and a little buttery, but mostly malty. Medium bodied, malty finish.
2.7 Klar gyllen farve med lyst skum. Lukt av noe malt og frukt. Smak av malt og frukt. Cardinal.
