3.0Near clear darker gold. Pine and citrus with a little too much malt/caramel for my liking. Pleasant bitterness.
3.4330ml can from Tesco. Clear golden with a medium white head. Citrus and caramel aromas, flavour is bold citrus, mango and some cereal
3.2Slightly hazy amber beer, white head. Light bitter hop aroma. Taste follows up on that with a little resinous quality and some tropical fruit. It's not special but it's crisp and decent.
3.2Can 6.% from Tesco. Hazy golden appearance. Aroma is citrus and orange. Flavour is hoppy citrus.
2.5Poor. Tastes like a weak Punk IPA, slightly burnt. Lacks hops for an IPA
3.2Can. BBE Jun 2019; Drank Jan 2019 - Lightly hazed amber gold with a large frothy off-white head. Fruity; orange and grapefruit citrus, peach. Malty; bready malts, caramel, grainy. Hoppy; moderate hop bitterness, grassy hops. Bittersweet citrus fruity malty and grassy hoppy throughout. Dry bitter finish. OK. (2019-01)
3.8[33cl can from Tesco, Winkfield] Stated ABV of 6%. A daeep golden amber pour with a thick cream head; resinous aroma; sweet jammy taste with some caramel and an earthy bitterness. Perhaps more of an ESB than an IPA, but rather good anyway.
3.7Hazy golden colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of floral hop notes together with lime citrus. Decent malt flavour too. Nice balance.
3.6330ml can. Pours unclear deep orange/brown. Lots of thick foam around edge of glass, lacing left behind. Bright hoppy aroma. Taste is jammy hop sweetness, bitter with lasting finish, earthy vibe. Feels thick in the mouth. Really good, far better than I expected.
4.0Can from Tesco's. Pressure was too high. Medium tan amber body with some foam head. Scent is nearly scentless. Taste is lovely semisweet, mild caramel, modern IPA. Finish is consistent. Great beer.
3.3Can picked up at Tesco in the UK. Copper looking body with an immediate foamy head. Multi Aroma and taste bleeding more on the English Style. Minor hops bitterness.
3.3Can thanks to Stevoj pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is citrus hops some floral notes and a grain. Taste is more of the citrus hops and a nice mellow malt.
4.0Bronze with a medium head. Clear appearance .lovely slightly flowery, hoppy flavour. For some reason I didn't expect it to be as pleasant as this. Glad I tried it.
3.7Bottled at the Electric Cinema in Shoreditch, London. Nice amber color, a bit foggy with very little white head. Enjoyable and fruity. Very good for a movie, especially one that includes “We will rock you” in the soundtrack.
3.4330ml Can from Tesco supermarkets:
Definitely a pleasant enough beer & one that opened well, if perhaps a little sweeter than expected but it certainly didn't overpower & the caramel malts seemed to work well with & balance out the pine hops & slightly topical fruits on the nose. It was a little less sweet come the nose but followed on in a similar vein with some nice mango & apricot coming through alongside some floral bursts as well. All in all it was a nice enough beer without it exciting too much or being one to hurry back to either.
3.86.0 can from Tesco good looking in the glass hints of resin and citrus rind dry stewed taste which I quite like solid enough ipa
3.9Pours a cloudy orange with a thin white head and good lacing.
Aroma is very promising. Mango, apricot, caramel, grass and pineapple. Taste has a little sweetness with a nice bitter medium finish. Body is light and a little thin for the ABV.
Just as I was hoping for having tried their pale ale. Very drinkable stuff, only a little more body and deeper finish away from a high score from me.
3.5On tap at The Catfish on 16 May 2018. First beer from Crate Brewery and it was good. Solid IPA that doesn’t set the world on fire but it gets the job done.
3.4Can from Tesco, Brooklands. Floral and resin aroma with a large dose of malts. Slightly hazy amber-copper. Thick fluffy off-white head. It foamed everywhere when I opened the can. Light-medium bitter with some citrus fruitiness. As per the aroma there's also a lot of malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick if watery. After the gushing opening was expecting more than soft-flat carbonation. Long dry finish. An almost medicinal edge to the aftertaste. OK IPA, FYI.
3.1330ml can at 6%. Pours hazy dark orange with a large head. Aroma is burnt toast and melon. Taste has melon and a little mango. Some caramel. A bit burnt.
3.8330ml can. Pours amber. Aroma of stone fruit, resin, caramel, pine and grapefruit. Taste is similar. Nice medium mouth feel. Sweet, bitter, fruity and juicy. Decent.
3.1Can. Pours a dark gold colour with a fluffy white head, plenty of fruit in the aroma, the taste is medium bitterness and with a dry bitter finish.
2.8So, as someone who has been exploring in depth a lot of what is available right now in your average local stores in terms of IPAs .. this beer tastes good, its ok, its not bad, and that is all.
I agree with a lot of the prior reviews I've read here on RateBeer. Read them, people are being honest.
In comparison with the mission statement of breweries like Vocation and Brewdog, (similar target market), these guys say that they are ''all about fresh thinking and fun doing'' and go on to ask the question to the consumer ''What can start with a crate of beer? Open up'' ...
I am tempted to say well, a little may start with a can or two of this, but a crate? No, people will say, yes, nice pine flavours and it is indeed 'different' but now I want something else.
I have realised that choosing a genuinely good canned IPA means choosing a beer that you would happily buy a crate or two of and not doubt your decision even once.
3.3Slightly cloudy dark gold
Not a strong aroma but nice typical IPA flavour.
Not a bad beer, not a great one
3.1Can from Tesco at 6% ABV. Slightly hazy gold with a thin, white, head. A touch of tropical fruits, biscuity malts, citrus hops and a dryish finish. Ok.
3.5Can from Tesco. Hazy amber with a frothy off white head. Hoppy pine aroma. The taste is spicy with pine and a little apricot. Some tea. High carbonation. Decent.
3.5Can, from Tesco (6%). Hazy gold, fluffy and sustained white head and gentle condition. Solid grapefruit and lemon citrus hop resin and sweet grain in the nose, quite soft and sweet in the mouth with a restrained citrus hop resin and some yeasty bitterness, there is a little fruity blackcurrant and a hint of peppery spiciness, finish is a little bitter and dry with a delicate grapefruit citrus hoppiness.
3.0Can 6% from Tesco. Clear amber. Nose is heavy resin, sweet sticky caramel, hoppy. Tastes intense, grapefruit, burnt caramel, pine, sweet resin. Not that enjoyable.
3.4Puszka .Złoty kolor. Piana biała o średniej wysokości i dość dużych pecherzach, opada szybko.Dojrzałe owoce tropikalne z mango i marakuja na czele, czerwone grejpfruty, lekko maślany posmak, karmel. Fajny balans pomiedzy cytrusami a mixem owocowym.Solidne
