2011, somewhere in a small apartment in Munich. Two enthusiasts have just set up their first homebrew kit and are experimenting with malt and hop varieties from all over the world. Their goal: A beer that will revolutionise the world of German beer. Foundation 11 was the foundation stone for CREW Republic and the German Craft Beer Revolution.

2.9 Uit een flesje. Heel licht troebel, geel, weinig wit schuim. Weinig bijzonder aroma en ook is de smaak niet heel uitgesproken. Voor een abv van 5,6 wat vlak. Weinig meer dan een aardige pils. Wel fris.

3.7 Hopfig süß pelzige Grapefruit, flach-perlig, wohlmundig, weitet den Rachen aus. Die Trauben sind eindeutig auf der Südseite gereift.

4.0 Geruch fruchtig, minimalistischer Schaum, vollmundiger Körper, leicht bitterer hopfiger Geschmack, abgerundet, guter Abgang

3.5 Orange color, middle foam size. Good beer, aroma and taste fit into the style.

3.3 Bouteille de 33 CL achetée chez V&B. Robe dorée légèrement trouble avec une mousse blanche abondante. Arômes de malts et citron. Texture crémeuse, carbonatation moyenne, légèrement amère, légère. Notes herbacées, citron, agrumes, malts. Fin sèche portée sur l'amertume.

2.5 bursztynowe, z srednia piana. Aromat słod plus chmiele, calkiem wyrazisty i przyjemny. W smaku puste, wodniste, przez słodowość się praktycznie nic nie przebija. Rozczarowanie

2.8 Bottle from Wines. Clear dark gold with med white head. Decent carb. Mild aroma. Pretty straight funk hops, bit lagery with watery bitter finish. Not a huge fan but fine

3.0 Ananas und weed in der Nase, hell wie ein pils, krone relativ schnell weg, angenehm am gaumen, Geschmack ananas, Zitrus, weed und etwas heu, wenig karbonisierung, süffig

3.1 330ml bottle, poured into pint shaker. A: Golden, clear, small head which disappeared quickly, left some lacing. S: Combined slight citrus notes with a hint of farmyard funk. T: Did what it said on the tin or bottle in this case, quite a bitter finish. M: Medium body low carbonation. O: A mashup of a South German Kellerbier and a West Coast APA.

3.1 amber-blond colored beer. The aromas are the typical IPA citrus fruit. German bitter taste with addition of IPA hoppiness. birra color ambra-bionda. Gli aromi sono i tipici agrumi IPA. Sapore amaro tedesco con aggiunta di hoppiness IPA.

3.0 This beer pours amber-blond in the glass with a nice white head. The aromas are the typical IPA citrus. The taste has the typical german bitterness with IPA hoppiness added. Although taste is plentiful, it lacks in complexity.

3.8 Jasne klarowne, jest dość obfita piana, ale średnio i grubo pęcherzykowa. Aromat bardzo przyjemny, cytrusowy, słodkie owoce. Trochę wodniste, jest fajna goryczka, średnia, bardzo pijane piwo. Nisko wysycone, jest nawet zbyt lekkie.

3.6 Fruchtig herbes und Bier. Geruch nach Blumenwiese, Gras und Zitrone. Lässt sich sehr gut trinken.

3.9 Das Bier ist inzwischen so bekannt, dass man es beim EInrichtungsgeschäft Nanu-Nana bekommt. Es ist ein mäßig bitteres Ale, das einen malzigen Körper hat.

3.3 330ml bottle thanks to djoeye for sharing. A misty warm golden body under a film-type layer leaving lacing rings down the glass. Decent smell of herbal hops and mid-sweet malts. Similar taste profile, moments of caramel malts and herbal hops. Bittersweet ending. Rounded mouth feel. Medium bodied. Pretty alright. (Rating session with djoeye and Finn, Tromsø 14.11.2018).

3.0 Flaske spandert av djoeye og Rune. Delt på Nerstranda. Gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum. Tynn lacing. Plommearoma. Smaken karamell & fersken. Grei nok.

2.9 Aroma; hops, forest, floral n caramel malt. Look; off white head, clear golden body. Taste; hops, fruit, forest, herbal malts, marcipan - varied lingering tail. Feel; ok body, some co². Overall; goof apa. [tasted@SessionHafen&Biere]

3.6 Quite bitter, delicately carbonated - juicey (I like that). The aroma is a little citrusy, very clearly also malty, maybe just a tad too 'alcoholic' (but why?). It's like a mixture between the English and American approaches to pale ale (it calls itself a 'German Pale Ale' - but that's misleading). I rather like this beer and would buy it again.

3.7 Une pâle ale joliment orangée, bien translucide et un joli liserée de mousse. Armes de miel et de caramel au nez, avec des zestes d’agrumes par les houblons assez amerisant. En bouche ça va dans tout les sens, entre épices, saveurs sucrées, miel encore, et les fruits tropicaux qu’on peut retrouver dans une ipa. Pour autant, elle n’est pas sèche et bien désaltérante. Une bonne bière, joli petit feu d’artifice en bouche

3.6 Bottle from Das Edelweiss, Munich Friday 7th September 2018 Pours very pale gold with a good clarity, juicy fruits, sweetness comes through a little bit of tropical fruit and a nice hoppy albeit gentle hoppy bite. Very good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

3.2 Clear golden, offwhite head. Peach, pine and caramel aroma. Peachy, citrusy flavour, light caramely sweetness. Short, bitter finish, pine and grapefruit.

3.3 German Pale Ale uit Beieren van 5,6%. Citrus tinten, hoppig, waterige afdronk. Alles aan dit bier is net iets te veilig. Ook weinig schuim. Drinkt wel lekker weg.
