A quiet evening in front of the fireplace: Crackling wood, dancing flames – and then a kick straight to the face! Roundhouse Kick Imperial Stout! Brewed for those whose taste buds can never get enough! A real malt and hop bomb – black as night and explosive as dynamite!
3.4Bottle from a Supermarket. Dark beer with a big, light tan head. Nose is roastery goodness, cacao, a bit nutty. Pretty sweet on the tongue, nice fade to mid level roasted malts, moderate bitterness and mid/low complexity for such a big beer. Nice & tasty, but not an epic imperial.
3.9Black beer, good off-white head. Very rich, toasty malt smell. lavour has toasted malt too, dark chocolate, a little anise, some toffee too. This isn't massively complex but it does a few beautiful balanced flavours really strongly, and where some livelier stouts compromise by having a thinner body this really, really doesn't. Lovely stuff.
3.8330 ml bottle. Pitch black colour, small head with low durability, no lacing, flat carbonation. Nose is roasted malt, wood, milk chocolate, leather. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter, dark chocolate, coffee, roast. Very good!
3.3Smell-weak, roast, malt. maybe cofee.
Foam-malt, chocolate, roast, sweetness. Head is small, dark, medium-dark brown foam.
Appearance - beer specific bottle cap.Black color, no carbonation, some sediment.
From- snifter
Taste - malt, chocolate, sweet-ish, cofee, neutral. Quite good and neutral, alcohol is here, but muffled. Not bad.
Aroma: Kalter Kaffee, bittere Schokolade, Karamell, Beeren. Cremiger Antrunk. Geschmack: Sanft, alte Vollmilchschokolade, Kaffee, Bitterschokolade, Beeren im Hintergrund.
3.3Bottle. Color almost black with small head. Aroma roasted, malt, some caramel, liqourice. Taste roasted, malt, dry, chocolate, liquurice.
4.0Bottle. Very dark brown, mahagony colored with a medium tan creamy head. Quite fruity nose, dark berries, some plum, intense dark chocolate, roasted and coffee notes are less strong yet give a good frame. Taste is bitter and dry especially in finish with a light balancing sweetness and a bit sourness around it. Full and thick body, medium carbonation and a smooth and creamy moutfeel. Flavor is dominated by dark berries and notes of Sherry as well, along dark chocolate and some roasted noes of coffee. Gains some caramel. Leaves a medium bitter dry and fruity aftertaste.
3.6Bottle: 330 ml, Recieved from: hauxe (Euro swap 2019-2 ). ( European Local Swap 2/2018)
Good, but not imperial...
3.7Bottle from summer eurosanta, thanks snowcrash000!
Black stout with coffee and chocolate feel. Alcohol is not as visible. Quite tasty.
3.4Bottle shared at Vál. Pretty average RIS, not bad by far, but nothing to write home about either. Earthy notes, roasted malts, coffee, low sweetness. Light bodied, almost too thin.
3.4OK for a stout, but thin and not full of flavour. What Germany gives for hop not so impressive.
3.8Dark with a frothy beige head.
Roasted smell of coffee with berry notes. A sweet stout taste with low carbonation.
3.7Pours a deep brown With off white head. Chocolate and roasted aromas and taste, vanilla notes.
Notes: bottle from Edeka, May ‘19
3.5Black color, small foam size. Strong coffee notes in the aroma. Coffee bitterness in the taste.
3.933cl bottle from Beerwulf Webshop.
F: medium, tanned, average retention.

A: dark malts, chocolate, cocoa, dark bread crust, dark caramel, dark dried fruits.

3.6Bottle picked up from REWE, Freising (the one on the trading estate en route to München und Airport) It's in the regional section. Consumed at home listening to Lomo and just had a very nice Beef Szechuan, Friday 5th April 2019. Tricky to be certain of colour when rating by candlelight, however a fairly obvious guess would be black with a tan head though I can see a ruby glint. Some toffee, a little curl of cream, drinks easy for the abv, a bitter liquorice and burnt background. Good.
3.633 cl fles. 71 IBU. Zwart bier met een weinig crème kleurig schuim. Geur: geroosterde mout, vanille, zoet, zoethout, wat koffie, koffiechicorei. Smaak: zoet, karamel, ersatz vanille, zoete koude koffie, Hasseltse koffie/chouffe coffee likeur, iets prikkelend peperig. Volmondig. Matige koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: zoet, kleverig. Iets te zoet voor mij.
3.8Roasted malt, liquorice and dark chocolate from start to finish. A bit boozy aftertaste.
2.8Malz, Röstaromen und ganz viel Kaffee bei moderater langanhaltender Bitterkeit. Nicht mein Fall aber in sich rund.

4.1Thuis uit een flesje. Mooi zwart, redelijk bruin schuim. Zacht aroma. Uitstekende smaak, wat chocolade, caramel. Lekkere zachte en lekker licht bittere nasmaak. Uitstekend.
3.8Sehr leckeres Stout. Tolle Farbe, feinperlig. Geruch nach intensivem Malz, schokoladig. Alkoholgehalt geschmacklich nicht sehr aufdringlich.
3.833 cl. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass, due date: 2021/05/29.
Aroma: not very intense aromas of black chocolate, cocoa, black coffee, roasted malts. Very subtle hints of alcohol, alcohol sweetness, dark dried fruits.
Appearance: very dark brown color, almost black. Light brown and quite creamy foam made of tiny to small sized bubbles. Medium head thickness with low Brussels' lacing. Medium retention. Too dark to know its haziness.
Taste: medium sweetness, low to medium bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of black chocolate, black coffee, roasted malts, cocoa. Some licorice, dark dried fruits and vanilla nuances. Balance is slightly sweet but quite good balanced overall. Sweeter at first and increasingly bitter toward the finish.
Palate: medium body, watery to oily and slightly sticky texture, low to medium carbonation, very long dry finish with low to medium bitterness and the same aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is almost not noticeable even with its high ABV, very low alcohol sweetness aroma and flavors and low mouth and throat warming. Very low astringency and low but noticeable acidity from the black roasted malts.
Overall: quite good appearance, with subtle but good and pleasant aromas and very powerful flavors of black chocolate, cocoa, black coffee, roasted malts. Very tasteful and enjoyable. Very good Imperial Stout and very good sipper for this Christmas days. It probably wood be better with more body, less watery texture, less alcohol and less carbonation.
3.6330ml bottle at Black Sheep Sliema. Poured black with thin beige head. Liquorice roasty nose with liquorice cocoa vanilla notes. Not a thick impy but decent
3.6The freshly opened bottle releases a powerful malty smell with bread-like notes. Poured into a glass, the aroma 'grows' to include liquorice and sherry. On the tongue, sweetness is very subdued and the syrupy bitterness rather enjoyable. The finish adds a touch of coffee. It's an intense beer, but that is fairly typical for the style. It lacks especial highlights, but also crass errors. Good balance - enjoyable. This isn't my favourite imperial stout, but I could understand if it were someone else's.
