3.3Bottle at 14th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering on 03/19/2011. Mostly clear copper amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel, earthy malt and light floral hop aroma. Sweet fruity flavor with some caramel, earthy malt and some floral notes. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
3.512 oz bottle. Pours hazy amber with long lasting, fluffy, white head and much lacing. Aroma is of piney and citrusy hops, caramel and bready malt, yeast and some fruity esters. Body is medium and tangy. Herbal hops, caramel malt, bread crust and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long and bitter. Very nice session brew.
3.4Poured into english pint glass, pours a very nice copper color with slight haze. Head was thick and long lasting. Three fingers at first. Some lacing. Co2 was lively. Fairly heavy malt aroma, with a taste of malt followed by some pine and alcohol on the finish. Some bitterness in the finish. Foam till the very end. Light mouth feel, not creamy but slick. Enjoyable and I would by again.
3.3Flaska. Rödbrun med vitt skum. I både smak och doft hittas karamell, gröna äpplen, krispig citrus samt örtighet. Mycket trevligt beska. Fyllig kropp.
2.8On tap at Harper’s.
Appearance: Slightly hazy copper body with a creamy tan head.
Aroma: Slight caramel with a light fruitiness, hints of spice, sort of reminds me of a spiced Oktoberfest.
Taste: Light malt with hints of fruity esters and a mild floral hop presence.
Palate: Watery, low carbonation.
Overall: This is a very bland and forgettable beer. I really hate that they call this a cask ale also. I wish breweries would stop using words they don’t understand.
3.3Bottle from eelbasher for Locals 5.5. My first NJ tick. Thanks, Andrew! Pours red brown with a beige head that falls to the edges quickly. Aroma is very malty with a bit of vanilla and green pepper. Taste is caramel malt balanced by some oak tannin and pine hop. carbonation is a bit heavy for the style. Alcohol is more present than I’d expect at 5.5%.
3.5copper coloured beer with some whitish bubbles for a head. This is a nicely hoppy beer with citrus and pine notes. Just a touch of woodiness sets it apart from being an APA. I liked this a lot
3.6Pours a clear tawny with a fairly thick light buff head. Malty, fruity aroma has a hint of caramel. Malty flavor has an apple cider overtone plus snippets of caramel and hops. Texture is firm and smooth, and fizz is not strong but lingers, leaving a rather hoppy finish. Hop on over to your favorite watering hole or package store for one.
1.9Not a huge fan of this one. Foams up a lot with high carbonation that fizzes on the tongue. Bready notes and a bit of a citrus hint as well. Malty, slightly caramel notes present but overwhelmed by the bitter/spicy hop.
3.6bottle. amber with a large, foamy head. malty, honey, mid color crystal malt aroma. malty, cereal flavors with a lemon tea, herbal note. medium body. the lemony note is odd, but it adds a refreshing characteristic to the finish.
3.0Beer engine pour at Race Street Cafe. Nice hazy orange copper color with a frothy off-white head. Lots of lace. Pleasant caramel malt flavors with some dry earthy hops. Tangerine peels. Autumn leaves. Orange pips. Vanilla Tootsie Rolls. Crayons. Slight plastic in the mix. Not bad. Fuller body than expected. Feels nice on cask.
3.812oz bottle from eelbasher
Appearance: Cloudy amber with a small off-white head and good lacing
Aroma: Smokey and toasted malts
Taste: Toasted malts, woody, smokey with some mild bitterness in the finish
This bottle leaked about 1/4 of the bottle from the cap but when I opened it there was still plenty of carbonation. Nice and tasty
3.9Orange amber with foamy thin off-white head; malty aroma with slight roasted notes; Flava is rich deep nutty roasted malt; feels rich almost thick with some natural carbonation twinge I the tongue; finishes soft and dry and a little hoppy
3.712oz bottle. Light brown, dark orange color. Thin white ring. Aroma of bitter hops & toasted malts. Tastes of sharply bitter hops, earthy character. Very tingling carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink, a nice sessionable Bitter. (3683)
4.1Great ale, overall. Aroma of caramel malt and orange, with a taste of the same. Interesting hop presence on the tongue, leaving a good palate. Hazed amber color. Love it.
3.3Floral, caramel, orange, nutty, and woody aromas. Hazy amber with a well retaining, beige head. Slightly sweet, bitter, with orange and earthy, floral flavors, and with some tartness at the end. Medium bodied with zippy, refreshing carbonation, and a citrusy finish. Not quite what I expected from a cask ale, but pretty good all the same.
1.9Bottle. Not a beer I would buy again. While its not bad - its jut not worth drinking twice.
3.3Hazy orange, almost no head. Aroma of floral hops, honey and caramel. Taste is a surprise with the hop flavor , fragrance
3.1Tap at Stagshead for cricket Hill night. Pours clear amber with fruity nose. tastes grainy, of berries, tropical fruits, woody, toast, bitter finish. odd little brew.
2.6From a bottle smells like old lager. Lots of c02,and taste is just like it smells. I’m surprized its not a lager but a amber ale. Again, the co2 effect on th palate is just lovely. Fun & nice in the sizzling effect. Otherwise, without the co2 I would have given this a 2. Rather strong finish but it seems to be from the alky and not any hops.
2.6Bottle. Pours a rather hazy amber color with a smallish head on it. Nose is rather malty. Taste is much the same. Very average amber ale. Feel is a little harsh in my opinion.
3.2Nice English ale. Well balanced with a nice slightly citrus, slightly earthy hop presence to go along with the biscuit character off the malt.
3.2Bottle as altbier. Clear amber color, medium white head. Aroma of toasted caramel. Taste is sweet and peppery caramel, dry finish.
2.7Bottle. Slightly hazy reddish orange pour with minimal head. A bit of caramel sweetness and pine hop aroma. Thin watery palate. Taste is nutty and slightly sweet. Not great.

3.1On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a just clear amber with a thin to medium sized white head. Sweet and malty, fruity malt. Medium bodied, malty, warm and toasty. Malt, soft fruit. Caramel, toffee, sweet and fruity. Earthy bitterness on the finish.
3.212 ounce bottle. Hazy copper color topped by a small cramy beige head. Caramel malt nose hints at butterscotch. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor. Hints of vanilla, almond and biscuity malt. Nice hop prescence in midtaste. Finish is clean and crisp.
3.5Aroma is malts, fruit and a hint of sweetness and nuttiness. The flavor is malts, fruit/berries, nuttiness and hops in the finish.
3.3from Mondial de la Bière 2011, Strasbourg - pours a cloudy copper-orange beer under a solid and long lasting beige foam; aroma of almond and caramel; creamy palate and medium-bodied; some late earthy notes, gently bitter and with a long earthy and malty finish
3.1from notes: bottle from beers of the world, rochester. Amber pour, moderate carbonation. Malty, with a sight tinge of english style hops
