3.4 Poured a cloudy straw colour, much like pineapple juice. Aroma is of tart apples. Flavor is a blend of sweet and tart apple with honey in the finish. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. May be a bit too sweet for some.
3.7 Rated based on notes taken 13 Apr 2014 -- I think Crispin makes the best ciders, consistently.
3.3 Pale, cloudy yellow, flat. Smells just like fresh apple juice. Nice sweet and tart flavor. Completely masked 6.5% ABV. Good.
3.6 Bomber. Aroma is a lot like sauvignon blanc with an apple character; after it warms a little bit, floral notes come out. Pours a hazy greenish-white color, almost like a sauv blanc but even paler; no head. Taste is sweet and tart, dry; honey is detectable in the finish. Carbonation is fairly soft, body medium. Nice cider, although 22 oz is a bit much for one person at one sitting. 12 oz would have worked better for me.
3.2 "simple and straight forward but refreshing, aromatic and tasty. the alcohol was just ever so slightly too apparent, especially for only being 6.5%, but this would make a nice summer staple. just enough honey to notice, and tartness to balance."
2.6 This was poured into a pint glass and a wine glass. The appearance was the same in both: somewhat cloudy yellow color with a slight transparency about it to allow light streams of carbonated bubbles to be seen rising. The smell had some tart apples and some sweet apples with a slight oakiness coming about it. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was definitely felt as there’s a harshness that can’t be missed. Overall, hmmm....actually an okay cider. I know it says to pour over ice but I wanted to see this as it really is. Though I won’t seek it out again, if I ever did have it again, maybe I’ll pour over ice to see if that does anything.
3.2 Bottle. Pours a lightly cloudy yellow almost green color with no head. A sweet oaky apple cider nose. The flavor is super sweet very tannic apples, sugary at times, a bit of vanilla. Odd. Not very natural tasting. Hmmm. I love me some honey crisp. but this is way too sweet.
3.8 Look, apple cider is not in my wheel house, but tonight I had a craving. Crispin’s "Honey Crisp" could almost be a chardonnay; it’s replete with apple, pear, and honey notes--and yes, it does finish crisp. Nice change up during the hot summer months.
3.1 Cloudy yellowish-white pour. Appearance of a white wine. Apple juice flavor, yeast character, some honey for sure. Zesty. Over ice, it’s mellowed out and less sweet. It has other wine-like features. Alcoholic for a cider. More zest. And sweet apples.
3.6 Handsome cloudy yellow pour some floaters. Aroma of sweet honeycrisp. Tastes of sweet tarts some fresh apple. Light carb. Good sessionable cider that tastes like real apple.
3.5 650ml bottle into a shaker glass; served cold. Aroma: Fantastic amounts of pears and apples. Exceptionally juicy; the smell baptizes the room. Not a lot of honey sweetness comes through, but there is definitely a massive amount of fruity juice. Appearance: Quite pale, straw, yellow-green pastel colored, hazy body. No head or cap at all. No lacing. Low visible amount of carbonation. Taste: Delicious, juicy apples. No bitterness at all. A teeny bit of sweetness, and a bit of tart flavor towards the back of the palate. Palate: Ultralight body, but not watery. Incredibly low carbonation. This cider’s finish is of medium length and ends on a succulent apple note Overall: A nice little find. I thought Angry Orchard was the cider all others would be judged by, but this one is a different approach that gave me some welcome perspective. Light, crisp, refreshing, and able to be minimally sweet and not cloying at all.
4.1 Pours cloudy like a hefeweizen. Smells like fresh cut apples. Tastes like apples with a light alcohol taste. There’ a light honey sweetness. Nice mouthfeel. Easily the best hard apple cider I’ve had yet
3.2 Rated on 6-28-2010 (Bottle) This cider has a small head, mostly transparent/slightly hazy body, fizzy, and fast rising carbonation. The aroma is sweet, apples and honey. The taste is very sweet, honey and apple juice. The palate is soft carbonatio and this cider is light-medium bodied. This cider is very easy to drink, apples upfront and a cider I would possibly drink again.
3.9 Taster from bomber. Thanks john! Unfiltered lemonade look. Aroma of apple jolly rancher, apple skin, honey. Taste is apple sweet, tart. So bloody good.
3.6 Part of a side-by-side cider tasting, thanks David! Poured from big brown bottle into a snifter glass. It poured a slightly hazy golden colour. The aromas and flavours of Honey Crisp apples (one of my favourite varieties) really comes through. Just the right amount of sweetness, not too dry. Light body, spritzy carbonation but no metallic bite. Really tasty, well crafted, highly recommended.
3.4 Color and opacity of grapefruit juice. Three layer attack: 1) sweet apple ; 2) effervescent bubbles ; 3) champagne aftertaste. Not too sweet. Complexity of flavor and effervescence weakens after a few minutes, but solid cider.
3.4 Bomber->flute. Pours a cloudy lemonade with no head. A: tart apples and juice. T: bitter and tart apples and berries. Decent.
3.0 Bottle A: Light lemon color with bubbles speckling the glass. N: Honeycrisp apple is obvious. Bubble gum and cotton candy. Not much beyond the taste of the fruit. T: Soft sweetness. Not much flavor. M: Well carbed, like soda. O: Decent. Unoffensive.
3.2 Smells like apple sauce. Really cloudy, dark dirty yellow. Kinda gross looking like pineapple juice. Sweet and quite tart.
3.2 Bottle. Pours light, clear yellow with close to no white head. Smells fruity- apples, honey, vanilla. Has a lot of honey flavor with a great, subtle cider backbone. A really great cider, a bit flat...but overall very enjoyable!
3.2 Bottle (750?) poured a nice cloudy hazy almost like iced coffee, taste is sweet, almost bordering on too sweet.. lots of sugary bits of apples, then raw honey sweetness, touches of vanilla.
3.2 Crispin Cider? sounds like a bad Bob and Tom joke from the morning radio show (crisp inside her). Bomber - pours like Ricard with no ice cube. Nose is soap and green apples. latent honey. Sweet. Drinks like juice. Pretty good.
3.2 3 ounce sampler at the Grovetoberfest Miami beer festival 10/13/12. Very good!
3.5 Hazy straw-yellow pour with very light effervescence. A very fruity/spicy aromatic nose. A bit ofalmost orange blossom honey character in addition to a crisp apple tartness. Moderate sweetness with a touch of light tannic character on the finish along with a bit of vanilla. Quite lovely
2.9 Bomber. Hazy gold with no head. Sweet and slightly tart apple aroma. Muted apple and a weird aftertaste.
2.9 Bomber poured into a shaker. Pours clear and very pale with no head. Looks almost like a white wine. Aroma of crisp green apples, green apple jolly ranchers and just a slight hint of vanilla. Taste is tart and lightly sweet. Green apples start with some motts apple juice on the end. Just a very slight hint of vanilla at the very end. Light bodied with a thin and surprisingly unsticky texture. Soft, almost flat carbonation and a decently long finish that ends very abruptly. Overall, not bad. Enjoyable and very drinkable, but not worth seeking out.
3.9 Hazy yellow. Arrow is laffu taffy apple. Taste is a balance of tart and sweet apple with some lemon.
4.0 Yellow hazy colored with a hint of green. Tastes sweet and balanced no excess alcohol and not bitter a very smooth finish
3.7 Sweet but not Extremely. Just a slight bitterness at the end. overall very drinkable.
3.2 Bomber to shaker. Very light colored. Clean and crisp. Very sweet and only slightly tart.
