Experience a sweetly floral to herbal aromatic bouquet and an elegant yeasty flavor with a sustained mouth-feel that develops complexity on the palate. Naturally fermented with Belgian Trappist yeasts using a premium apple juice blend, not from concentrate, with no added malt, spirit or grape alcohol. The Saint’s artisanal Cloudy Filtration style uses racked unfiltered apple wine smoothed with pure organic maple syrup, a touch of apple juice, no added sugar, colorants or sorbate or benzoate preservatives, and is filtered cold for bold, crisp refreshment.

3.5 Pours a murky lemonade color with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of apples and yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of mildly tart apples, herbal yeast and sweet maple. The finish is sweet and fruity with an apple cider aftertaste. Decent overall.
3.0 much too sweet for my palate. very interesting take on a traditional cider, but the maple makes it over the top for me.
3.9 8 oz pour from room temperature 22oz bottle into stemmed wine glass. Hazy and completely opaque. Light yellow-orange. Mild carbonation. About what I?d expect from a nice cider. Aroma is very light. Syrup and apples. Mouthfeel is great. Surprisingly creamy. Crisp. Taste is great. Like a good sweet white wine. Strong tart apple taste of course. A little farmyard yeasty taste (but in a pleasant way). Very moderate sweetness. A nice lingering tartness left after every drink. Alcohol is very well hidden. A very good cider.
4.6 Color is amber-yellow. Virtually no head. Cloudy appearance. Low carbonation. The smell is very clean and sweet - fresh apples and maple syrup. Tastes of very fresh apples and maple syrup w/ a hint of citrus. Very clean, fresh, sweet flavor. I can hardly notice the alcohol in it. Smooth and easy to drink. An A hard apple cider
3.6 Poured a hazy yellow to light gold colour with no head. Aroma of the titular apple, yeast, and maple. Flavor was of sweet apple, maple and belgian yeast, possibly some other tart fruit. Lightly carbonated and medium bodied with a crisp tart finish.
3.5 Bomber. A hazy gold color with some visible carbonation. Aroma of apples, honey, banana, and just a hint of maple syrup. Both sweet and tart apple flavors. Some other fruits such as pear make an appearance. Somewhat crisp like a dry white wine.
3.3 "nice cider here. we started with the honey crisp, which was nice n simple, with nice being the key word. the yeastiness and slight maple syrup sweetness added to the flavor, body and complexity while still showcasing the slightly tart apples. well done. looks like a weak wit beer though."
2.7 Unclear pale straw pour. Aroma has some apple, light yeast. Flavor is similar. Not overly sweet thankfully. Not particularly distinctive or character-full. This didn’t do much for me.
3.6 Bottle from Wegmans. Cloudy golden, glowing, effervescent. Dry apple nose, leaves, touch of lemon. Complex flavor, ripe apples, nice tartness, some minerals, a touch of maple syrup, yeasty spices coming from the Trappist yeast. Rich but not overly sweet. Nice tang. Good body. Nice stuff.
3.2 Cloudy apple cider. Can really taste the maple notes. Pours cloudy blonde. Tastes wonderful refreshing on a hot day.
3.8 Pours to a murky ripe pear and mustard colored body with no head. The murkiness looks like unfiltered apple cider but kind of unappealing in this format. The aroma is very interesting. Sweet apple cider with some white wine notes. Like a Viognier. The flavor is dry and winey. Also like a white wine. Viognier and sweet simple syrup. But, in a good way. Semi-dry wine essentially.
3.7 Code looks like it reads 14012, but I don’t think it’s 1.5 years old, who knows though. Appearance: Hazy as heck lemonade colored body with no head at all a second after the pour. Aroma: Very slightly tart apples along with a slight sweetness. Very refreshing smelling with a hint of syrup sweetness. Taste: Hints of everything to make one cohesive drink. I get crisp semi-sweet apples, hints of maple syrup and a touch of banana on the finish. Very nicely balanced and refreshing. Palate: Crisp and refreshing. Overall: This is a nicely crafted hybrid cider with good qualities from all ingredients used. I could definitely throw back a few of these if it were in a six pack. Please do so Crispin.
3.4 Rated on 6-27-2010 (Bottle) This cider has lively, fast rising carbonation in its appearance. The aroma is yeasty, sweet and apples. The taste is sweet, yeasty and tart apples. The palate is tingly and this cider is medium bodied. This is a very quaffable cider, not overly apple tasting, worth trying and a cider I would drink again. It is very refreshing tasting on a hot summer day.
4.0 Part of a side-by-side cider tasting, thanks David! This was the best of the night, and possibly the best cider I’ve ever had. Poured from big brown bottle into a snifter glass. It poured a slightly hazy golden colour. Predictable aromas and flavours of fermented apple juice, plus the complex Trappist ale esters and phenols: black pepper, clove, nutmeg, coriander, tart cherry. Still some sweetness, not too dry. Light body, spritzy carbonation but no metallic bite. Delicious, highly recommended.
3.7 22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a touch of fizz. Aroma of a freshly cut apple with a little bit of sourness, possibly from the yeast. Subtly sweet and drinks easily (especially for the amount of alcohol), with light carbonation, a clean mouthfeel, and a fairly dry finish. Would drink again.
3.1 Apple on aroma. Drinks like a beer. Alot more of a sipper this one compared to the only other ciders I've had...with this cider I wish it was deeper... More complexity....I wish I could pick up on the Belgian strain better and add some of what it brings...I like it ... I'm a cider newbie
4.0 22oz bottle. Pours hazy greenish yellow with some fizz. Aroma is golden apples, caramel and some yeast. Taste follows suit with a nice semi-dry finish. Very easy to drink and hides the ABV quite well. Not bad for $4.50 a bottle.
3.4 Tasting at RW&B. Bottle->stem. Hazy light gold with no head. Nice sweet apples and Belgian spice in an interesting blend. Very crisp, enjoyable. Best cider I have had to date, though that is not necessarily saying much.
3.3 22oz bomber. Hazy, unfiltered, creamy yellow-tan body. Not much of a head, some soda-like carbonation bubbles. Big apple aroma, some alcohol. I don’t really get much Trappist yeast character. The maple syrup adds some depth. Not really my favorite cider, too big to session on, and not enough depth to really sit and savor. Maybe nice to help out with palate fatigue, or flavor monotony, but this isn’t one I’d seek out again.
3.3 bomber - nose is basically a dry Champagne. Sips adds sour apple. Crisp. Goes down easily, but a little to artificially sweet. A decent cider.
3.5 22 oz bottle- Pours a very pale hazy golden. Aroma is apple juice, floral, sweet. The taste is apple juice, the maple syrup really shows through, the Trappist yeast is an interesting twist, adding another dimension here. Weird but pretty good.
3.5 22 oz bottle shared. Pale, yellowish and cloudy with minimal head. Aroma of fresh apples, Belgian yeast, fruity esters, maple syrup and light herbs/spices. Similar flavor, sweet, tart and tangy with light bitterness, crisp carbonation and a dry finish.
3.2 bottle, from Triangle Wine, good aroma, sweet, apple, minor yeastiness. very minor hazy golden yellow. no head or lace, sweet flavor, light body, lightly syrupy mouthfeel, sweet finish. it’s good, not super sweet, but not super interesting, still getting my head around ciders
3.0 Hazy yellow pour with a mostly non existent white head. Nose is champagne, trappist yeast, tart Apple juice. Taste is champagne,Apple juice, a bit tart- mild carbonation. The trappist yeast is very apparent, and a bit out of place.
3.7 Pretty darn nice. Even better that we are both drinking it and don’t feel gluten-y. Pours a nice hazy yellow with no head. Sort of tastes like exactly what it is, fermented apples, but tastes better than it sounds. Sweet, tart, crisp, warm and a mellow/ earthy note from the addtion of maple. Definitely prefer Belgian yeast in this application to most belgian style beers. Better than I thought- very drinkable and thoroughly enjoyable.
2.5 Very nice yellow color when poured. Tastes a lot like champagne and very enjoyable.
3.6 Straw pour with no real head. Very hazy. Aroma is banana and clove. More hefe like than Belgian ale. Light apple. Flavour is much more Belgian with apricot fruit and sweet candy sugar aspects. Musty apple cider . Very interesting.
3.5 This is my first cider rating, and I’ve only had French ciders from Brittany. Aroma is strong and tart, appearance is hazy golden, no foam or carbonation (poured into bowl). Pour becomes more cloudy as you near the bottom of the bottle. No evidence of high ABV. Taste is apple juice, pure and simple, with some spice and floral elements in the finish. This is really enjoyable, especially on a nice fall day.
3.5 Pours a hazy straw golden, appearing still in the glass. Nose involves tart apple and grass. Quite sweet flavor, but also pretty tart. Lighter bodied, waxy, puckering, softly active. Upon warming, the influence of the Belgian yeast and maple syrup begin to appear, though still fairly minimally. Upon swirling and dispatching some of the sediment, the appearance turns to a milky looking egg yolk, so that is not recommended at all. All in all, a decent cider on its own, but I found the influence of the specialty ingredients to be minimal.
3.8 Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with no head. Aroma of green and red apples with a little spice. Taste is sweet. Starts with apples but the maple hits me right away. Just a slight hint of spicy belgian yeast in the after taste. Light bodied with a thin texture. Soft carbonation but a decently long finish. Pretty good. A very interesting take on the cider. A whole bomber may be a bit much though. May want to plan on sharing this one.
